That's like saying I'd consider the boot of a nazi on my neck a win because he's not kicking me in the balls. I mean, it could be worse but the "status quo" is still laying on the ground with a nazi boot on your neck.

I don't see how getting broken into is poor planning. That is victim blaming.

Better idea - all of upstate NY splits off Westchester county, NYC and Long Island and forms a new state. Northwest Jersey joins this new state with upstate NY. It would be better than joining PA

While I don't think Harbor Freight sells ski masks, the three other things you'd need to buy for something like this wouldn't cost more than $35 there - maybe less if you've got a 20% coupon. Large bolt cutters, a claw hammer, and gloves, and maybe a bag for the loot - and that same kit would probably get em into almost any business out there. If not those tools, a stolen car can make easy work of most storefronts, or a truck can pull out a door or lexan window with enough prep time. Or for some businesses, going in from a neighbor's wall could be an option. Even if you prep for everything you can think of, someone might find something you didn't think of. There is no inexpensive way to really secure a business you want to be friendly and inviting for customers against someone determined enough to break in, especially a place like RTSP where they are far enough away from the main road that no one could see em from 10 or the other closest road. If they had to secure every gun in a safe every night, guns would get dings/dents/scratches, and employees would spend more time doing that on top of other reponsibilities. If you can slow unauthorized access to everything while keeping the business nice and inviting (and of the places close to me, RTSP is the nicest looking showroom), then I don't think you can fault much.

No, it was not a robbery. It was a burglary. 2C:18-2. Burglary. a. Burglary defined. A person is guilty of burglary if, with purpose to commit an offense therein or thereon he:(1)Enters a research facility, structure, or a separately secured or occupied portion thereof unless the structure was at the time open to the public or the actor is licensed or privileged to enter;(2)Surreptitiously remains in a research facility, structure, or a separately secured or occupied portion thereof knowing that he is not licensed or privileged to do so; or(3)Trespasses in or upon utility company property where public notice prohibiting trespass is given by conspicuous posting, or fencing or other enclosure manifestly designed to exclude intruders. A robbery, by N.J. Definition, requires an element of force or implied force. C:15-1. Robbery a. Robbery defined. A person is guilty of robbery if, in the course of committing a theft, he: (1) Inflicts bodily injury or uses force upon another; or (2) Threatens another with or purposely puts him in fear of immediate bodily injury; or (3) Commits or threatens immediately to commit any crime of the first or second degree. An act shall be deemed to be included in the phrase "in the course of committing a theft" if it occurs in an attempt to commit theft or in immediate flight after the attempt or commission.

Any customer could walk into the place and see where a majority of the visible cameras or security system hardware are. Any smart criminal would be wearing masks and gloves, though there are a lot of really stupid people out there... What I imagine could be most helpful is outdoor cameras at many local homes and businesses and intersections, where their guard might be down, and any masks might be off. Hopefully these peopke are caught quickly and without incident, and every single item is recovered, and all the FFLs around benefit from knowledge gained from all this

I disgree about the Machine Gun definition in NJ. ”Machine gun" means any firearm, mechanism or instrument not requiring that the trigger be pressed for each shot and having a reservoir, belt or other means of storing and carrying ammunition which can be loaded into the firearm, mechanism or instrument and fired therefrom.” A binary trigger does not require the trigger to be pressed for each shot. In Binary mode, you get 2 shots for every press of the trigger - one on the press and one on the release. A release is not a press.

I'm not looking at it from a cost/benefit analysis. Call me a kook but I lean pretty libertarian. If alcohol is legal, and I think it should, so should pot be. It's not that it'll be a windfall from taxes, it's just silly - to me - to be illegal.

Well, it wasn't staged, but it wasn't in NJ either. It was Compton CA.

If 100K 2A rights activists showed up in Trenton, on the same day (that's important) it would be HUGE, uge even. We would have National attention. Problem is, showing up to demand our rights is too much of a bother. Actually, that's wrong. If the NRA, GOA, Second Amendment Foundation, JPFO, NAGR, ... The list goes on. There are actually 15 National 2A organizations And then all the NJ 2A groups. If they could all get together and put all of their expertise and some money into it. Really make an effort to contact all NJ gun owners and organize Supreme Court worthy law suits.... If they did that, they could get 100K 2A supporters in Trenton. It's absolutely doable, but, sadly, it will probably never happen. We need leadership, without it there is very little will.. I have to say. Being forced to join the NRA so you can join a club to use their range, well, it sorta feels like taxation without representation. You are forced to pay, if you want to join the range, but you get nothing from the NRA in return except some stickers and a piece of made in china crap. If we can't make Trenton sweat, maybe we need to make the NRA sweat. Call them out for their inaction in NJ.

That's a bridge too far! They work for me i.e. John Q. Taxpayer, if they wish to call me sir, that's their option. I'm not in the habit of saying sir to my employees. I will say that you should avoid the use of "Boss". It is a common term that inmates call Correctional Officers and can indicate to the LEO that you are a prior visitor to a correctional facility and might possibly are worthy of additional scrutiny.

Geico has been awesome for me. 2 claims, both over 5 years ago but they literally had a rental car waiting for me at my house before I even got there. No problems with payments or anything else. They have become more expensive over the years but I'm not sure i would get the same service. I can go with NJM through my work but i have been told they are a bare bones company? No frills....I like the way Geico went out of their way to make sure I was happy.....

Almost every cop will tell you the following axiom: If they are planning on arresting you, nothing you say will talk them out of it. However, if they are not planning on arresting you, you can easily talk them into it. Keep your mouth shut. Don't lie but don't volunteer any information. Nothing is gained by letting them make a judgment call. Their judgement is often, arrest and let the judge figure it out.

Technically, this is a chicken vs egg situation. The G17 existed as a semi auto pistol first, then someone came along a few years later and made a FA version of a SA pistol. The G17 is not a semi auto version of a FA pistol. It's the other way around.

The only benefit I can possibly see is cost savings to the taxpayer for less incarceration. $300 million in tax revenue? Gimme a break. The illegal infrastructure is established. It’s not going away.

Gp100 is a good choice. You may also want to check out a S&W model 66, it's a reasonable price for a nice S&W. One of the guys I shoot with has a Colt Competition in 45. Nice gun. Well made, a little looser tolerences then the Gold Cup but it's made for a different shooting game. I'd expect the 9mm to be as good. If you want to think outside the 1911 box but still want an all metal classic, you could also check out a CZ 75 or one of the variants. I love my CZ75 SP-01 and it costs a little less then the Colt and is very accurate. -Jim

I think you're onto something. Why not use some of their tactics against them? If we got a large enough organized, unarmed (I think armed would play into their hands), diverse (to counter the race message), peaceful protest at the state house that could block government functions for a period of time then maybe we could get some traction in Trenton or at the very least get a seat at the table. I moved 3.5 years ago and will never look back. I still commute to your shit hole 3-4 times a week to work, 1 hour and 15 minutes each way. Yes its a long commute but its so worth it to me.. Flat tax, insurance, property taxes..generally the people are nicer too. its a no brainier. Our school system rivals pretty much any Jersey school system so that's not an issue either. The current breakdown in the state government is: 34/50 R in Senate 122/203 R in Assembly

Never ever volunteer any information to the police. I'm starting to think those pre printed statements from cop block or one of the other organizations maybe the best route. Especially in Maryland. They do not care about PBA cards, they don't even give professional courtesy for NJSP family member metal gold cards. Best to avoid Maryland. It has always been one large speed trap now they are vying for the title of most Anti-2A State in America and Baltimore I think holds the title for most corrupt police department in America. Re: Fellenbaum Pardon Thanks to all here who chose the path or righteousness and fought for Meg's pardon. This was an effort put forth by several groups and individuals (of which CNJFO had a part). I want to personally thank every NJ2AS member, every CNJFO member, every NJOA member, every NJSFSC member, every ANJR&PC member that responded to the call for help to get Meg pardoned! Which group or how many groups (in combination) you belong to (I belong to several myself) doesn't matter. At the end of the day, WE ALL DID IT TOGETHER and I'm proud of each & every one of you! And to the "Haters" that want to see the ignorant out-of-staters ensnared by NJ gun law rot in a jail cell, I say SCREW YOU! RE: Aitken Pardon Congrats Brian, and I hope you can now re-connect with your son! Your Blue Tent Sky serves as a lasting Cautionary Tale to those that decide to use firearms in NJ at THEIR OWN PERIL Rosey http://www.cnjfo.com

The sources I've read all say you can't train your non-dominant eye to be dominant, so the only solution is to teach yourself to shoot long guns from the other shoulder if you want to shoot with both eyes open. This can work pretty well with younger shooters. I'm cross eye dominant, and just finished my 4th year of trying to shoot trap left handed with both eyes open (I'm a righty). I never got my scores up to where they used to be, shooting right handed, with my left eye closed. Apparently, I'm no longer a younger shooter... So for 2018 I'm switching back to shooting right handed and closing my left eye; not ideal, but my grand experiment in switching handedness failed. On the other hand, if I ever find an event that calls for 25 birds left handed and 25 birds right handed, I should be hard to beat.

Because not everybody has the time, motivation, or capability to do the research and build their own gun. If you buy a complete rifle from Daniel Defense, you get not only a damn good rifle, but the peace of mind that a reputable company will resolve any issues you (will most likely not) have. Also, not everyone has the desire to pick EVERY component on their rifle. For these people, buying a complete rifle is the right answer...and if they want a top notch rifle, Daniel Defense is a viable company. Now, I'm just playing Devil's Advocate. I have two AR's. Both of them I bought a complete upper and built the lower. Not as intensive as building the whole thing, but still. I have two stripped lowers sitting in my safe, waiting to be built when I get back to the states. But if something went wrong, I'd feel pretty confident working on either gun myself. I'm mechanically inclined though, I turn wrenches and take shit apart and put it back together for a living. Not everyone does, so building a rifle is not for everyone.
