4 pointsNot sure if this has been shared here, but Steve Lonegan posted a video breaking Bob Menendez' balls regarding Bob's handling of an AR during a PR stunt: Long and short of it is that Lonegan is calling Menendez out for being a hypocrite and violating NJ gun law by handling a firearm (Menendez doesn't have a FID). Lonegan tried to file a complaint with the Essex County College police (where the PR event took place) so he's now going to the Essex county Prosecutor directly to have Menendez charged. Nothing will happen, but kudos to Lonegan for pushing the issue.

4 pointsI just got back from my first school board meeting and had a Eureka moment. We need to be at these meetings and others like it. The meeting was about school security and how our Anti Superintendent cancelled recess. Many people at these meetings are vocal and active in social media and most importantly are Antis. I spoke to 3 of them during a break. Two women and a man. I mentioned how concealed carry would make us all safer. One woman walked away. The other woman and the man had a civil discussion. Both were very surprised to learn the truth. About how hard it really is to get a firearm in NJ, how there is no gunshow loophole, how we have a background check system, and the truth about how many mass school shootings actually occurred this year. They both were shocked and both asked if we have these laws why are they pushing for more. My answer was good question. They actually said it sounds very unfair. I believe both will now go and check my facts and hopefully confirm and learn the truth and maybe change their views. Especially since two school board members who were older Jewish women chimed in and agreed with me. Turned out they were both Pro Gun. In my experience most older Jewish women I have met are pro gun. I think we need to get them involved with our cause. They are very active in communities and being retired have time on their hands. For the record the outcome of the meeting was that recess is reinstated in our school district. Also the superintendent and rest of the board admitted they gave into cancelling recess because at the last meeting 250 people spoke that they thought recess was a major security threat. Tonight the vast majority was there to speak out for recess. The board implored us to be at meetings when events happen. Basically admitting that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. 3 pointsSelling a hand gun to a criminal is a CRIME! My thoughts? My thought is the hairs on the back of my neck are up & I might be getting "trolled", for this type of complicated scenario is way past what someone with 14 posts would normally be engaged in! And Voyager 9 is correct!

3 pointsI’ll sponsor 5 carts. Can I PayPal friends and family the money to you? I don’t actually have a checkbook and don’t care to write it off.
-
3 pointsHe was also handling it in a non-exempt location. That would constitute open carry.

2 points@10X you need to disclose to them mover the shipment contains firearms. They will go over all the serial numbers so that when they are returned they can prove they are all there. Some won’t move firearms at all. I moved all of mine myself.
-
2 pointsThank you all. We of course know the outcome but I always feel the need to make them here my rants! F them!
-
2 pointsWELL DONE! Now please continue to do the follow-up required to see this to a conclusion, hopefully one in which one of these parents gets infected & becomes a gun owner! To ALL: THIS IS HOW IT GETS DONE! EACH ONE REACH ONE! PLANT SEEDS & WATCH 'EM GROW!
-
2 pointsWell done.... School boards and admins know nothing about security.... they live their lives with rose colored glasses and can't make the tough choices. Pm me if you need info.....

2 pointsThis states gun laws are built on hanging people on technicalities. So to dish said technicalities back to those creating them is justice in my book.
-
2 pointsIt is illustrative of two things - one stupid laws and how flagrantly they are disobeyed when it fits a narrative.

2 points9X19 I am one of the old guys too and I will not shut up. I don't mind the subject matter of the thread and miss a few of the places mentioned down here in Ocean County. Just ignore those who find fault with the posts made by others. Everyone is not as open minded and experienced as those of us who past mile marker 60!

2 pointsThis is what the State is using to try to push neighboring states to change their laws. NJ and Murphy are blaming PA and other nearby states (as well as a few further away) for all of NJ's gun crime. Not realizing that it's not an inanimate object committing the crime, but NJ criminals.

1 pointIn reference to Menendez's stunt there was another story from NJ 12. The quote that struck me as the stupidest is: "Sen. Menendez says that he fully supports banning weapons of this caliber for civilian use." Really, .22 isn't for civilian use? http://newjersey.news12.com/story/37652901/nj-lawmakers-hold-demonstration-showcasing-power-of-ar-15

1 pointYeah only stops will be for gas. My buddy is going with me so if one needs a bathroom break the other can keep an eye on the trailer.

1 pointYup......Austin was great., Lehigh Ave. in Union...he did an Armaloy finish and trigger job for me on a Custom Model 19 ....don't breath on the trigger in the cocked position...talk about a pistol smith. There was also a fella working out of his home just across the street from Austin, his name escapes me but he had major metal working lathes and machinery in his basement....he did some rifle work for me back then also.

1 pointAll I know is the next time I will shop at DSG is during their going out of business sale, just like sports authority.
-
1 pointGreat piece, nice job!! Boy, it would be awesome to really push that last point he made and MAKE these legislators actually answer his question of "tell me how making voting and tax paying citizens instant felons will address and fix the gun violence problem in NJ"? After that question, nothing but "crickets".
-
1 pointThat I knew about. The most disturbing thing about that Supreme Court and other recent judge elections is that there's no more pretense that judges are impartial. They're red or blue. So the courts have become the trump card over the legislatures, one way or the other. And can also make up their own 'law' when necessary. That's a recipe for disaster. ('trump card' was not an oblique reference to the President. Just the figure of free speech.)

1 pointThat's how I view it. It's useful for educating the public on how very, very restrictive our gun laws are, and how easy it is to be in violation for something so trivial.
-
1 pointIt might be an attempt to grab headlines but not for publicity, but instead to point out the stupid laws and the hypocrisy of our elected officials.

1 pointHere's Massad Ayoob's take on the P365 from GlockTalk GATE forum: "Close to 1,000 rounds through it so far, only two feed failures, both from the same box of Winchester White Box and out of spec cartridges that wouldn't have chambered in any other 9mm, either. Best group was 2" at 25 yards with SIG's own 124 grain V-Crown JHP. VERY impressive little gun. Recoil feels like shooting a G43. Magazine release is awkward for right-handers to operate. Very manageable trigger. An unusual number of people on the test team have sworn they're going to buy one, or ordered one already. best, Mas"

1 pointWe need to do all we can to break the stereotypes. Last weekend I took a fence-sitter and another who was deathly afraid of guns to Cedar Creek Sporting clays. The young man there wearing a t-shirt that had "Liberalism is a mental disorder" printed on it isn't making our task easier, that's for sure. Fortunately neither of them spotted him, and they both had a blast, and can't wait to do it again, as well as get out to the indoor range to try some handguns. We had a great talk on the way home about the laws on the books and in the pipeline, and both of them were repeatedly saying "That doesn't make sense", and "That seems like nothing but trying to punish gun owners" etc. That is how we win.
-
1 pointEveryone has an opinion and that is good and healthy - however calling someone out who has been breaking laws forever out on it - doesn't seem like a ' cheap stunt ' - but you can think that !
-
1 pointit goes beyond guns about me moving. I am tired working for "the man" and then getting raped by the gov't. I dont have kids, but pay $9k in taxes. NJ sucks! -Im no longer greedy.......time to find a cheaper place to live.
-
1 pointPA is finished. There isn't a chance I would think of a permanent move there anymore. Stop gap move is still a real possibility. You have to go to Indiana or Tennessee to find a truly free safe state. All of them North are in the same place as NJ or PA. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

1 pointWHEN WE'RE ALL DONE PISSING DOWN EACH OTHER'S BACKS, THERE'S STILL PATRIOT SHIT THAT NEEDS DONE! A forum is a great resource UNTIL ____________(fill-in the blank)! I'm planning a Sporting Clays fundraiser today that will expose Fudds to the Second Amendment scene. Anyone HERE interested in doing something where some one-on-one interaction can happen? Anyone wanna be a sponsor? A participant? Both? I feel the frustration, I really do! Now take that misplaced ENERGY & DIRECT IT AT THE ENEMY and NOT each other! Rosey

1 pointRays was opened in 1947, Rays was in business for over 63 years. Meltzers for 101 years, Efingers for over 107 years. They all must have done something right to be in business that long...yes there was less competition then there is today, but you cannot discount that kind of longevity. Ray’s kids were in their late 60s spending most of their adult life working there. Ray was in his 90’s and did not want to retire, but his kids did. Since they were more or less running the business you can figure out why they sold out. They tried to sell the business as is, but Ray refused to sell until his health was failing. Meltzers story was similar, Billy’s kid did not want to own the business when he was ready to retire. Efinger suffered from increasing completion in the area as well as the internet. The team business suffered greatly when parents had to choose to have their kids play only one sport, once the schools stopped supplying necessary equipment for them to participate. Add to the fact that many hunters started to age, and kids were not taking it up in the same numbers. Not to mention every year there seemed to be less public land to hunt. The writing was on the wall. All great memories in all of those stores. But as was posted earlier there are still Great choices out there. Support your local stores and gun ranges so they don’t one day become a memory.

1 pointAfter listening to most of the Senate committee testimony today, besides my blood pressure rising exponentially, it makes me want to hear news reports of gun control advocates being struck down in various ways (that I will not detail here in public) to make them and their friends and relatives see and acknowledge the enormous error of their ways in preventing law abiding citizens from being able to defend themselves and their loved ones against the Evil that dwells in our midst.

1 pointWay to endear yourself to forum members. While guns may be a big part of our lives, for most of us they aren't our whole lives. Considerations of our employment and spousal employment have to be considered. Quality of school systems and quality of life as regards to other interests all go into the decision of where to live. There are states that have less stringent laws and lower cost of living than PA, why aren't you living there? Adios, Pizza Bob

1 pointLets break it down: I was unaware the new version of the Sub2K has a threaded barrel so that is a wash. Yes, the Sub2K can take an optic, but then you cannot fold it. Unless you spend money on some hinged mount that I'm sure exists. So the PCC wins. Does the Glock version of the Sub2K take G26 magazines? Nope. PCC wins. Does the Glock 19 version of the Sub2K have a full finger grip? Nope. PCC wins Last shot bolt-hold open. PCC wins. Knowing that your rifle is empty is a good thing. The controls are a wash, as that is a preference thing, EXCEPT for the charging handle. The PCCs charging handle is where it is supposed to be and is fully reversable for those who want to flop it where as the Sub2K is under the stock and not intuitive. PCC wins. The only thing that the Sub2K wins is that it you could get one that accepts 92/M9 magazines, Sig 226/229 magazines and M&P magazines. But wait, there's more! The Ruger can be swapped to Glock or Ruger with a simple magwell switch. So, as of right now the Sub2K wins but I'm sure Ruger has plans for Sig/XDm/1911/10mm/Beretta whatever magazines. All with just a swap of the magwell. One last thing not mentioned is cost. 400 clams for a Sub2K is awesome. 500ish for the PCC is more, but it's a better value. So, in conclusion, you lost and I win. Andres, I will always love you and good luck with your new Shockwave.
