I knew she was walking in the most anti gun senator in NJ. The worst that could happen was that she leaves the range the most anti gun senator in NJ. I believe I have achieved a small victory. I humanized our side and shared my opinions and she spoke to staff and customers for a few hours. We shall see, we shall see.........

She's been no friend for RKBA in the past, but I applaud her showing up for the show. We complain all the time about how RKBA groups never have a voice - well here's one opportunity. Well done Ant, can't wait to hear the show.

I drove by her house and saw the kid outside. I snapped a quick picture of him at work: I wonder why????

Oh come on Peel. You are in a safe space among friends. If we didn't like you, we wouldn't harass you nearly as much. Go grab your therapy handgun and just dry fire for a while.... DRY fire..

Wow. This all took an ugly turn. And I have no one to blame but myself! @gleninjersey, @Scorpio64 - I am chagrined. I offer my apologies. I misunderstood, nay... I SPURNED the nurturing lawn care element of bro code. It will not happen again. @High Exposure - point taken.

Brother, it was nice knowing you. Before Mrs Z takes you out, please make sure she knows how to operate the thrower and charge the battery. The shotgun shoots must go on. Maybe we will have a Zeke for Mod memorial shoot in your honor.

I don't like the Mossberg safety location and prefer the Remington type. And while the Remington's standard safety isn't great, the addition of the Vang Comp Dome Head Safety makes it much better and intuitive. https://vangcomp.com/shop/vcs-remington-dome-head-safety/

I don't see them at The Glock Store site and cant find them in the search - Nevermind I did just order 2 OD Green stripped 3rd gen frames (one G17 and one G19) from Ike at Big Tex Outdoors - Great company if you are looking to spend money. Ike is a young kid and does his business right. ETA: Just got the email.

Did you offer her the opportunity to see things from a different perspective? (like going downrange and holding up a target??)
  22. 1 point
Funny you should say that. Tell that to Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth. They were bailed out, remember Lee Iacocca and the K-car. A bit bigger than Remington, but proof that if you pay attention to your customer and put out a decent product, you can come back.

I agree prices on secondary market for common Garand will drop eventually. So will all common Milsurps. Too many old timers sitting on 40 years worth of Milsurps. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk Sooner than later I will take a ride to either North or South store and pickup an IHC. Spending $1,200 I would rather see what I am buying first. I would say this - In time the value of run of the mill garands will drop, we are going to reach an apex and in about 10 years you will be able to get a garand back to sub 500 ranges... The hoarders will pass in, the families will not know what to do with the 30 garands pawpaw had and will dump em. I am awaiting that buyers market. BUT, life is too damn friggin short to not ha e st least one now. The rifle that would need to be pried from my cold dead hands as I lay in a pile of enblocs and spent 06 brass, God forbid, is the M1.

No worries Peel. Lawn care most definetly seems to be a guy thing. Anyone can mow a lawn, but it taks a man to nuture and cultivate a great one! Does the electric lawn mover run on a 9 volt or double Ds? The drift of this entire thread is going in a direction I never saw coming and has taken on a very different vibe.....

Well there's a que. In the old days before internet dating one would go to the supermarket to try to meet someone. Now prehaps a woman can go on a lawn forum to meet a guy. Who knows?

Do you really think she doesn't know that her package has been delivered? She knows, she gets a notification email from UPS, Fedex, USPS, etc. And she KNOWS you hid it. Like jar jar would say, "you in big doodoo"
  40. 1 point
I don't specifically hide anything from Mrs. Mustang - she just learned over the years not to ask - as have I. I'd show/tell her if she did but she knows that would probably just cause problems. Sometimes willful ignorance works best. Just like I have no clue how much her shoe collection is worth or why those two pairs of seemingly identical shoes in blue only match different outfits.

You encourage her to try guns, she gets passionate about it, and now you HIDE her firearm purchases? Here's my take: that woman should be recognized as a saint by the church.... really by all churches everywhere and in all religious denominations (even those that don't normally canonize saints - that's how universal the respect and, yes, sympathy should be). Her sacrifice, patience and forbearance is truly the stuff of legend! Bow to her, Zeke.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying how does NJ not recognizing C&R violate the 2A? The only argument you've presented is its a financial burden for low income people. One could make a better argument against carry permit fees imposed by most states. Or pistol permit fees. You haven't seen that go anywhere. You don't see many low income people with collections of firearms. I don't agree with any of NJ's bs gun laws. My point is you need a worthwhile argument for your issue. How does NJ not recognizing C&R interfere with the 2A? This interferes with a small group of people like you. This is the argument you need to make. There are many more issues with NJ gun laws more worthy of litigation than this as they effect more people.

Where will you be living in NJ? That will kind of determine where you will be hunting in PA PA firearms deer hunting season is VERY short. Like 1-2 weeks. No hunting on Sundays. Bolt & lever action only. No semi-auto. If you take up bow or.crossbow you have a much longer season in PA. NJ actually has one of the longest deer seasons. Get a how or crossbow and in NJ you can hunt A LOT of places. And deer are just about everywhere in NJ. Hunterdon Deer Butcher in Pittstown does a great job once you get one. Thank you.for your service & happy hunting!

A ribeye is my go-to steak. Cooked rare, the bloodier the better! Mrs Tex likes a filet, so I buy whole beef tenderloins and cut my own steaks according to our liking. A good quality filet will be like butter, even when cooked rare.

I don’t eat a lot of filet because of the lack of marble but when I do it’s black and blue. Good ones cut like butter even when when prepped that way.

Most steakhouses season a steak too much for my liking, however there are a few good places local to me. Library II in Berlin has been mentioned. It’s great, but like eating dinner in a cave. Hard to see what you are eating!!! Great steak though, by the ounce. The Chop House in Voorhees is pretty good too. Not had a bad meal there, in the few times I’ve been. Personally, I prefer the steaks I do at home. I buy good quality beef, and cut my own steaks how I like them. Rub it with a garlic clove, sprinkle it with kosher salt and a little fresh cracked pepper, and cook that beast. Awesome on a wood fired grill, but lately, I’ve been using the Alton Brown cast iron steak method. Hard to beat!!!!

Soooooo... I went down this rabbit hole to a pretty significant degree. I will skip all my boring research and cut to my findings. ALL of which are my opinion and open to interpretation and additionally could be entirely wrong. But people I talked to, experts in the field of combat optics, helped me form this opinion. Your performance with a LPV vs a red dot may have nothing to do with the optics themselves. Its a software issue. Your performance is dependant on the sight picture your brain will accept vs what the optic is doing. Now that I know this I can watch out for it when someone is having trouble with a LPV. What I find is that they are way more critical of their aim with a red dot in a scope instead of the red dot of say an aimpoint because its not a scope. They have to learn to use it like an aimpoint and only see what you need to see to break the shot. Tactical Monkey and I did a LOT of testing with probably about 10k in optics on the table, simple repeatable drills from MDTS, and a timer. A lot of our data just didnt add up! Again for brevity, TM and I are comparable shooters. But the times between ourselves and Red Dots vs cross hairs vs horseshoes etc etc varied significantly! So varied it simply didnt make sense at all. What really showed this was the Acogs. My speeds as distance shrunk did not fall off nearly as much as TM's. Stark differences. The reason, his brain would not accept the sight picture. Same thing happened with the LPV's, just not as dramatic. My brain had no issue with the sight pic so the performance difference between a red dot and a LPV at 1x was fractions of a second. Now TM's Brain craves a red dot. So his performance with the red dot was very consistent. My brain actually seems to prefer reticles. So my performance varied more with the RDS.

I heard this on the radio in the car this afternoon and was shocked. So they won't deal with you if you sell high capacity magazines or sell to anyone under 21. So now in states where it is legal to sell high cap mags and sell long guns to adults that are 18 it is too F'ing bad - this is getting crazy. God help you if you won't bake a cake for someone, but this is ok? This country is totally messed up.
