Did I make any headway with her anti position? Probably not. I think I did achieve something really good. Civil discussion and she spent 2 hours in the range walking around and taking to customers and staff. So maybe, just maybe, the next time she is drafting a bill she may go a little easier. Who knows, only time can tell. I will say that we have been communication a lot and she might put me on an advisory panel! I had to take the shot. Digging our heels in and insulting her is not going to win her over for sure. We are in the weakest position we have EVER been in, in NJ so I extended the olive branch. Now I am working on getting the new Gun Czar in. I almost had the new AG (who has in fact shot here a few times) to come in but because I a the EVP of ANJRPC and we have the carry lawsuit against the State there was a conflict and he had to cancel. I will say we should stop with the insults and be civil. NO I an not getting weak, I am being realistic. Have a nice day! Ant Oh, one more thing..... Ray, is that really you posting?

Yesterday I visited the dark side….briefly. I’m a tried and true revolver guy. I have competed in (IDPA, USPSA & ICORE) with nothing but wheelguns for the last four or so years. Several weeks ago I came across a really good deal on a bottom feeder, a 9 mm Sig P226 Elite RX SAO. Allow me to interpret: The Elite has special features over the standard P226, to wit – a beavertail, an undercut trigger guard, checkering on the front strap, Sig Lite night sights and G10 grip panels. The RX means that the gun is factory equipped with a red dot optic – in this case, Sig’s Romeo 1 with a 3 MOA dot. And, of course, the SAO means single action only. So I pounced on it. The same person that found this deal pointed me to another great deal on Sig walnut grips for the gun at about 67% off MSRP or about 60% off the “street” price – so I grabbed them too. I had to wait until Friday, 5/18 to pick this beauty up due to a previous purchase (thanks OGAM, and yes, that one was a revolver). My intention was to shoot an IDPA match with the new Sig on Sunday 5/20. I was going to use Saturday to practice drawing – remembering to disengage the safety – and acquiring the red dot. Wasn’t able to do any live fire or sighting in. The dot appeared to co-witness the irons, so I figured “close enough for government work." Well, as it often happens, life got in the way and I didn’t get a chance to even touch the gun on Saturday, but that didn’t deter me, off I went to the match on Sunday with a totally unsighted, untested gun. Sometimes I’m a glutton for punishment. For those of you that are knowledgeable about red dots on hand guns, I’m sure you know what happened next – that is after I forgot to disengage the safety – I couldn’t find the red dot. Took me a while to track it down, and it started all over again after each shot. It did improve, slightly, as the day wore on but I know that I could have shot all the stages more quickly with my revolver. In short: It was a disaster and I finished DFL. I didn’t expect to be competent right off the bat, but I did expect to acclimate to it somewhat. While there was minimal improvement from the start to the finish, my performance was still laughable at the end. To the guns credit, it ran 100% absolutely flawlessly, and when I did actually manage to find the red dot and break the shot as it passed over the down-zero scoring area, it also put the bullets where they were aimed. This is going to require further study – much further study. The gun is great and shooting static targets from a static position I’m sure that I could shine – but in practical shooting where you may be moving, the target may be moving, or both, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to be even slightly competitive without tons of practice. I have new found respect for those shooting the new Carry Optics divisions in both IDPA and USPSA. Next match it will be back to the bright side and this… Adios, Pizza Bob

At least it is metal and has a hammer, I wouldn't trust a gun made of the same material as my daughter's toys and a striker that breaks easily.

It was a very good show! I'm glad that Anthony invited her, glad she accepted, and I enjoyed listening. Much is what I would have expected... the only thing that sounded like a "cheap shot" was when she was talking about the death threats, etc. on the Internet. Is it terrible?... yes, of course! It's awful, uncivilized and, I'm sure, very unnerving for the recipient. But does she honestly think that's a one-way street? Is it at all possible she could be that misinformed? I find that hard to imagine. Here's just 1 example: about a year ago, I talked to a spokesman from Hunters for the Hungry (a NJ program that harnesses the efforts of hunters to donate venison to NJ's food banks). He was VERY passionate about the cause, you could tell he was a sweetheart of a guy... he also was a hunter safety instructor, etc. This nice sweet guy was actually getting death threats left in his mailbox. Yeah, a guy who runs a non-profit that helps feed poor people is getting death threats because he's pro-2A. If that doesn't convince you, scan the comments on HuffPost sometime. Anytime a poster makes a pro-2A comment... see all the comments wishing violence and death on the poster, etc. The pro-2A side certainly doesn't corner the market on the angry, lunatic fringe - the anti-2A side has plenty of their own! Sadly, the anonymous nature of the Internet "brings out the crazy" across all spectrums of debate - we even see it on these forums on occasion. Horrible things that people would NEVER utter to someone's face... somehow, when they're sitting behind a keyboard and shrouded by an anonymous avatar/alter-ego, they feel the nerve to type it out. It is what it is. Though I agree wholeheartedly that the behavior is WRONG from either side... I did sense the Senator was attempting to say, "wow, look how horrible your side is... worse than anyone else." So, I do call B.S. on that. (Worse yet, unlike the rest of us mere mortals, the Senator is conveniently protected during her work day by people with guns --- oh, the irony!) I'm not saying this to stir anyone up... merely to point out that uncivilized, threatening comments really do have a long-lasting negative impact --- it shuts down rational conversation.

Careful Bob, you start buying bottom feeders then suddenly BAM there's a Glock in the safe and you're making excuses to friends on what happened. Nice piece and welcome to the dark side.

Ant, SOME of the folks here that aren't "on the INSIDE" need to be reminded from time-to-time of the nature of politics and WHY we can't spill the beans, especially when it comes to ANJRPC plans & "inner workings". Maintaining a "low profile" & not disseminating ANY info protects the info itself but also leads to SOME Patriots thinking that the state Association is dormant, uncaring & "too old school" (Fuddy). This creates the very problem I've been successfully fighting (w/o "giving the store away") both here & on Facebook. Giving them a "peek" once in a while like you just did^^^, here in your Page, is a great communications tool! Congrats again with the Senator! Putting a HUMAN face on "the Gun Issue" can only HELP! I don't know about that. By the time I retired I'd been using and overseeing Glocks for about 20 years. At the end of my career I was overseeing a couple hundred Glocks 9mms and got regular reports of issues for the several thousand my agency used. By the time I retired some of the personally owned guns has over 30,000 rounds through them. My 26 must have over 40,000 rounds through it. I have personal knowledge of exactly one part failing in that time. A recoil spring guide snapped because the guy was trying to put the gun together the wrong way. I understand there are reasons people use aftermarket parts. However, I'm of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it crowd".

I’m pretty sure that you have to disclose the mover that there are firearms being transported. Some won’t move firearms at all, it depends on who is doing the move. There is a procedure where they log all make, model and serial numbers at the point of origin and then reconcile that at the point of delivery. If it’s non-firearms in the gun safe I’m not sure they’d care. The movers need to notified of ammunition and they won’t move powders / primers.

My point, Ray, was that you typically go scorched Earth with stuff like this and go full “Vinegar”. Zeke typically preaches the “honey” approach. I was just surprised to see the “make a friend” statement on your account, and wanted to make sure Zeke didn’t have you duct taped to a lawn chair in your basement.

My wife slept in then did a 5K in the pouring rain. I drank my coffee and relaxed with the dog, listening to the rain and did some dog training. What amazed me most was all these people who were bragging about getting up at 5-6am to watch this were a lot of the people who can't even get up early enough to get to work on time.

There are a couple of choices here but one of my guys at work uses Tablo. He is a real geek and likes it a lot. It may be worth a look for you. https://www.tablotv.com It may not have an attena solution with it but you can get a Mohu Leaf for a good price and can hang it on a wall and actually paint over it. http://store.gomohu.com/leaf-50-indoor-amplified-hdtv-antenna-open-box.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw3InYBRCLARIsAG6bfMQy7npW0AH98vC_5l2OmDssdxELYyLZ8nt2Uhx3yaQUDZ2-a9zf3-saAjlsEALw_wcB

Its pure junk PB! You should just sell it to me and be done with it! Kidding aside, there is a learning curve. The windows are smaller and there are some techniques to help you get dialed in. But a lot of it is going to simply be practice and reps.

I'll disagree, PSVue is far better than the cable navigation and the DVR is fantastic. For the rest of the streaming I've used Roku and Apple TV. Both interfaces are far superior to the cable experience and at this point better than TiVo. The cable companies have to offer you this pricing going forward because if they don't you'll just cancel. I pay 49.99 for 100MBS fios in NYC and use PS Vue. I liked the channel selection better than Hulu, although I have the 7.99 Hulu subscription, and the interface as fantastic. Sony has made almost as good as their gaming console interface. Simple to use, automatic offering of on demand if you surf to a show already in progress, very good. I switched to PS Vue 20 months ago.

No I haven't been to TTC but definitely want to check it out, let me know how it is. I'm also interested in checking out the Heritage Guild Easton range. I'll put out a post soon to try and arrange for a meetup at one of these places.

With all the power equipment I see,if I ever paid for a "gasp" battery-powered mower, I think I'd have to kick my OWN ass. Not to be confused with a battery-powered electric start gas mower. Those are cool...

Hmmmm... then by comparison, they can say you will be evicted if you post signs or wear clothing supporting candidates they don’t prohibit. Its just a different part of the bill of rights. Why would it be any different? And if somehow and landlord could interefere with your right to own a gun, it seems appropriate to hope those landlords gets their heads blown off in a robbery by a criminal who knows he place is gun free.

Don’t you at least bring some spare parts? I keep an Altoids tin in my pistol bag that has a Glock punch and a replacement for every spring and small part on the gun. Short of the barrel, slide, or frame having a catastrophic malfunction, I can fix my gun. Is that a Glock OEM firing pin? Factory ammo? OEM/std weight springs?

Sweeney's goal is to bury and embarrass Murphy so he can run in 4 years!. PS - Wanna hear a twist? I was sad that Menendez walked free. You too? If Menedez went down Murphy was going to give Sweeney the seat to get rid of him and get a more palatable senate president. We would have been triple screwed! So hear this from me - I am glad Menendez kept his job (never thought i would EVER say that!). This is the back door shit the majority does not know about. I got a lot more but I cannot post. Ant

Cannot comment too much but that olive branch has been extended and and it has been received well. I also might have met with the new speaker of the house a few times. Wink. Wink. Lets just say Sweeney hates the Gov more than he hates us! A lot of this shit we can not advertise so I can say no more. Ant
