When people talk about family and inclusion, few people can measure up to Anthony Colandro and Jimmy at GFH. I had made a request to make a wish happen for a very close friend of my twins that has a disease, which there is no cure. It only offers a diminishing quality of life and suffering. Because of her limitations, she spends a lot of time gaming and always wanted to know what it was like to shoot a real firearm. Well, GFH was the Genie that made that wish happen. I can't thank GFH enough for giving genuine joy to a young woman whose day is mostly enduring pain and hardships. Tom who was her instructor could not have been any better. He is another angel the represents GFH Family of Guardian Angels. You have NO IDEA how much joy you have given this family. My daughter in the background was simply amazed at how everything played out. Heaven / Valhalla - smiles upon your good deeds my brother(s).

Take your magazines and pack them away with the 20s and 30s you "illegally" put away when Florio got his way. Buy some 10s for range use.

I guess the $64,000 question is can you get a C&R FFL, go to a FFL dealer's licensed place of business in, say, Montana for instance, and buy a C&R eligible handgun (say a 1920s era S&W revolver in some obscure caliber for instance) on your C&R FFL, without a NJ Pistol Permit, take possession in Montana over the counter, presenting your federal C&R FFL, and logging it into your bound book, without any NJ pistol purchase permit being present or filled out, without violating any Federal laws. It would seem that you can. But has anyone confirmed this? How would NJ law apply there? It would seem to be the same as buying a blackpowder handgun in PA. No federal law preventing it, no NJ state law applying, so the acquisition is legal. NJ state law on acquisition doesn't apply outside of NJ's borders. Just (in that case) Montana, and Federal law. The Montana dealer can't sell an ordinary NJ resident a pistol in Montana. Federal law bars an unlicensed person purchasing and receiving a handgun from a dealer outside of their state of residence. But the question of whether a dealer in Montana can sell a C&R handgun to a NJ resident, face to face at the dealer's premises in Montana, with a C&R FFL - which allows them to receive it and log it into their bound book (subject to Federal ATF inspection) - that's the question. Looking for an answer to that one. If no federal law bars that sale and transfer, then it would appear the answer would be yes. Does anyone know for certain? And I'm not talking about what anyone thinks might be the case - does anyone actually know? Actually did it, or was told by someone in authority that would be permitted?

A pistol permit is needed to acquire a pistol in New Jersey. If you acquired it legally outside of NJ, then the acquisition is not in New Jersey and would seem to not be subject to NJ law or NJ paperwork requirements. A pistol permit has nothing to do with possessing a pistol you already own. After purchasing under a C&R license in person out of state, all that would seem to be left is possession and transport from the point that you re-enter NJ to your house in NJ. You could transport it back to your house (and through the NJ portion) because you are allowed to transport a handgun from place of acquisition to home under NJ exemptions. You could possess it enroute and then at home through exemptions, like any other firearm you own. The only question would be whether a C&R FFL would allow you to purchase, outside of your residence state, a handgun, without a federal requirement that your resident state's paperwork be done at point of sale in another state. I don't see any requirement. There might be...and was wondering if anyone knew. NJ has no power to require you to fill out a form in, say, Montana. NJ can't jail you for not filing out a NJ form permitting activity not in NJ which is allowed in Montana. The only reason people fill out NJ Certificates of Eligibility when purchasing long guns from dealers outside of NJ is that federal law requires dealers to comply with the law of the state they are doing business in, and the residence state of the purchaser (for us, NJ). Federal requirement, not NJ requirement. So the NJ form is in that case federally required. NJ has no jurisdiction over that sale. NJ can't put you in jail if you don't fill out the form when buying outside of NJ - the ATF could get the dealer in trouble under federal law if the dealer didn't do it. And few dealers even bother, because it doesn't appear the ATF cares about NJ forms anyhow. Even Wal Mart in PA doesn't care about NJ forms. Remember the NJ Pistol Purchase permit only applies when purchasing pistols in NJ. Doesn't have anything to do with possessing one in NJ which you already owned or acquired. Since the Gun Control Act of 1968, you cannot legally purchase a pistol in any other state than your residence state, which means your home state is the only place you can buy one, and your home state is thus free to put whatever rules and paperwork requirements it wants which you can't escape by going out of state. C&R FFL would appear to be a way to get out from under that and open you to a 50 state market -- in exchange for direct oversight, regulation, inspection, record keeping and enforcement by the ATF under a federal license. I say all the above as "appears to be" because I don't know. I don't know if it really is legal or if the ATF has regulations disallowing this. I'm wondering if anyone can actually confirm it by experience or having been told by someone having some sort of authority.

Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum. I just moved to my new address in January this year. I put in for a change of address for my FID back in February. In my town we deal with the State Police. 4 months later and no FID. I stopped by the barracks and was told “It’s not in. We’ll call you.” I felt like they were dragging their feet due to the new governor having the State Police in his back pocket. Just last week I wrote to Representative MacArthur and explained the situation. Just yesterday the State Police called me and told me my paperwork is in. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Kudos to Representative MacArthur!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's a beginner's event for new shooters, nothing serious and it's a great introduction to clays if you're looking for some mentoring as far as getting into the sport is concerned. Keep it in mind. Reach out to me if you'd like details! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Reread my post. I never said a NICS was required for a 03. I said being they require NICS I can't see why anyone can't buy a handgun in any state. The conversation is pertinent as we are discussing what priveleges a 03 gives you. You were the one talking about a ftf sale out of state and having them fill out a NJ P2P. You can go with whatever interpretation of the law you want. I already said that. Do what you and out of state 03 agree to...within the law.
  24. 1 point
Well, at the very least, an FFL03 will qualify you for the Brownell’s trade discount program which can be quite good.

Ok Rosie, all done registering. I didn't realize that I let both of our memberships lapse so I did the whole enchilada. Registered for the event, paid for the membership, $205 each. Let me know if it all came through correctly, thanks!

IANAL. However I did recently post my full advice re q26 in another recent thread. When i find it, i will direct you to it. With that said, your were treated for heart palpitations, not a mental or psychiatric condition. Hence you can truthfully answer NO.

What you think doesn't matter. What we collectively think doesn't matter. People DIE, and their family members go on "Happy Pills" so depression doesn't set-in. Happens thousands of times a day in all 50 states. So what makes YOU so special that you're rushing to give up your own rights? Get a grip man! Were you taken to a mental institution against your will? NO! Did you go & commit yourself voluntarily? NO! So STOP RIGHT THERE & stop overthinking this. No commitment means NO loony condition to report. Happy Pills are prescribed for divorces, death in the family, loss of job, loss of house, and a crap-ton of other reasons. NONE of these folks have to answer "yes" on that form, so why can't YOU take a simple "NO" for an answer & a highly educated one at that?? FWIW a FFL already chimed-in with that big "NO" directly above this post^^^.
  29. 1 point
Nope not a stubbling block at all. You just said NICS is always required and you cant buy handgun in another state when the topic was about FFL03. I will go with my own interpretation of the law. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk One am moving to PA. Two FFL03 I will make full use of in the meantime. Don't need anymore handguns currently. Focus is on rare rifles. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk No you can't easily verify FFL03 like FFL01 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

you didn't go for a mental or psychiatric problem so the answer is a big NO. what medication you may have been prescribed has NOTHING to do with anything. I am prescribed a medication for diabetic nerve pain that is also prescribed for depression and shit like that, NONE of their friggen business why I take it. When the investigating officer has an DR in front of his name or a MD following his name he "might " be able to tell why you were prescribed that med, until than he is NO position to ask ANY medical questions . unless there is something other answer NO. far too many people have been caught up with this question 26, the general rule of thumb is unless a judge ordered you confined ( something you would know ) than NO. it costs thousands and thousands of dollars if you answer yes,

I'm with you on that, any restriction is unconstitutional in my book. I came back into the sport after the 15 reduction took place, and on handguns, I can live with it (as unconstitutional as it is) because the guns that I like and fit my hand can't handle more than 15. Now with the long guns, I have a big issue with the restriction. Also, I have BIG issue with being made a felon after the fact, when I purchased something legally, and now, with no fault of my own, I'm a felon. That's BIG TIME unconstitutional!!!
  35. 1 point
Sorry, I didn't mean you or anyone specifically. I just see the general feeling among the forum seems to be surrounding keeping their 15s, when in reality the mentality should be that any mag limit is unconstitutional and should be challenged as a whole.
  36. 1 point
Exactly my point. Magazine limits of any number are unconstitutional. Us sitting here debating 15 vs 10 is missing the point and playing right into their hand.

Pretty funny. Some folks bitched and complain when we had no suits from NRA/affiliate (I was one of those people wondering WTH they were doing for us). Now that they have 2 suits going, I am happy with them and donating more then ever. But someone is always bitching about something, now we have a few people bitching about HAVING the suits. LOL! Just shows you can never please everyone :-).
  38. 1 point
Need the suits, that is all we have at this point. Instead of bitching about them, donate to the ANJRPC litigation fund, it might make you get over your despair, it usually works that way.

Nice to see that at least folks can still go to range and have some fun up here. All we hear in Texas is horror stories. I appreciate the invite, unfortunately I'm at the mercy of my family's schedule this weekend (this is our first visit). Also didn't bring any gear, but will put it on the list for next time. Actually, I'm also a BP guy. I load my own 45LC and shotshells in BP. I have a Stoeger Coach, couple of Piettas with cartridge conversions, and a Rossi 92 in 45LC (keeps it simple). I am Trickster Dick in SASS.. Have fun!

Stormy Daniels and Queen Elizabeth went to the Pearly Gates on the same day. They both met with an angel to find out if they would be admitted to Heaven. The angel said: "Unfortunately, there's only one space available in Heaven today so I must decide which one of you will be admitted.” The angel asked Stormy if there was some particular reason why she should go to Heaven. Stormy took off her top and said: "Look at these, they're the most perfect breasts ever created and I'm sure it will please God to be able to see them every day for eternity.” The angel thanked Stormy, and asked Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth the same question. The Queen walked over to a toilet, pulled the lever and flushed it without saying a word. The Angel immediately said: "Okay, your Majesty, you may go into Heaven.” Stormy was outraged and asked, "What was that all about? I showed you two of God's own perfect creations and you turned me down. She simply flushed a commode and she got admitted to Heaven! Would you explain that to me?” "Sorry, Stormy," said the Angel, "but even in Heaven, a royal flush beats a pair, no matter how big they are."
