So, he steals the remote - big deal, but he steals the remote and makes note of your address shows premeditation. This tech needs to be fired ASAP. And I would blast the dealership on social media too.

Per real life lawyers: You can't put up just any sign indicating that you aren't liable for anything you don't want to be liable for. I.e. Sign on your car that says you aren't liable for speeding. A sign isn't enough, especially when this guy later went to your house.

The Shield MRDS is the only one I know of...that fits the 43 slide for milling....The Dueck Defense sticks out... 10 altogether....and counting...

I say no. I just had to send my new light back because the switch would not work all the time. The stream light I have has been to hell and back again and still works perfect 5+ years later

I love my O-Lights, and I own 6 or 7 right now, plus 3 or 4 I have given as gifts. All still running 100%, and some are run daily and get dropped, run for long periods, and just plain used. The weapon-mounted ones have withstood plenty of 12ga from 3 1/2" magnums through target loads, the one on the .223 has stayed mounted through virtually every round I've put downrange with that gun...and show no worse for the wear. Only thing I gotta figure out is how best to clean the lens on my M20 from all that shotgun shooting...it's never quite clean enough for my tastes...

it should be against the law to mistreat a dog like that.
  13. 2 points
Very true. Just not knowing if the dog will attack is usually a good deterrent. I've been working with my Lab pup (who's coming up on 70 lbs.) to key up and alert to an unknown person who comes by. I had a home improvement door knocker come by last week, and poochie was going nuts behind the storm door. The guy backed way up, and asked if the dog was actually friendly? (Most people assume a Lab might be) I told him, "the last guy who knocked on my door left without one of his arms". The guy didn't hang around long after that comment...

SO WAIT? a stealership mechanic stole the remote out of your wifes car? have his ass arrested. and have him fired. file a complaint with the stealership. people leave garage remotes in their cars about 90% of the time when they drop em off to me.......but.......i touch nothing.
  16. 2 points
Yo dawg. I hear you like remotes... so I got you a remote for your remote so you can use 2 remotes just to open a door....

As a fan of their products, this does not surprise me. Although they are not "cheap", they are less expensive than the industry standard Surefire/Streamlight for weapons mounted lights.

Olight PL-Mini physical torture test by Iraqveteran8888. I think all mfg's have had issues with their products at some point in time, but how quickly they address it is what sets them apart. Regards, TokenEntry

Police take is can't prove anything without video. Dealership seems to feel the same. Remote won't work anymore. I have another one and I'm sure I can buy one for $10. Only my older daughter used it and only occasionally. Wife doesn't want the keypad back on. There is always the front door too. Put alert on Slickdeals for one of those ring bells and smart Lock. Hoping the last time guy came he noticed the rifle case and .50 Cal can and police actually talk to dealership. Between the two I hope it is over. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

CAA Roni Stabilizer doesn't have 2 of these... Magazine that attaches outside of the pistol grip - Nope Threaded barrel - Nope Barrel shroud - Could be considered, Yes. It's more of a slide shroud though - not shrouding the barrel. Manufactured weight of 50oz or more when the pistol is unloaded - Nope - add on accessory Semi-automatic version of an automatic firearm - Nope.

Overpriced for shot out pistols. The gems will go to auction, a few will be a smattered across distribution to keep the buzz alive - others will be luck of the draw. You'll do better in the used market where you can actually see what your plunking your hard earned dollars down for. Just my opinion.
  24. 1 point
Not bothering! There will be some gems, but the dogs really would worry me!

Id love one but the fact that the condition is completely unknown worries me. Id rather pay a bit more and be guaranteed a good clean handgun. Pricing is a bit steep too IMO.

I was thinking about it for awhile but then I found a nice colt with a mismatched numbered slide for $350. So I am going to pass for now. I don’t know if anything I would have gotten would have been as nice or have original finish.

Been to 3 or 4 meet ups since becoming a gun owner. Always a pleasure chatting with Bob, Maggie and whoever else shows up. The only time I have patronized a Starbucks is during these events, since I am taking up space at their establishment after all (I refuse to pay more than 50 cents for a cup of coffee so I brew my own). I also believe the franchise owner is a 2A supporter. In any event, I don't care if we meet in a parking lot someplace, I still plan to attend.

@Howard try putting the stock recoil spring back. It looks like you've been getting away running a softer spring until now. Is this new ammo softer or standard? A softer recoil spring makes the slide come back harder than a stock spring. This puts more wear and tear on your gun. It also makes your slide come back into battery slower. I don't think your magazine springs are bad. I think they're performing as they are supposed to. By using a softer spring the timing of your gun is screwed up. Engineers figure out what weight springs to use to get the gun to work reliably. There is a balance here that you've upset with that softer spring. I'm speculating what's happening is this new ammo is loaded to standard pressures and running the slide back harder than it was designed to be. The magazine, assisted by the extra hard whack of the slide when it comes back and extra time it stays back, is letting two rounds out instead of one. If the mag spring was soft it would have a hard time pushing one round up. The major function of a recoil spring is to return the slide to battery and chamber a fresh round. That's it. When one does something to change the parameters the gun was designed to do this in there can be problems. Many put in an extra power spring in the belief it will help them shooting +P ammo. See the first sentence of my preceding paragraph. Now +P does make sense in ammo that is underloaded from the factory like 38 special. However a semiautomatic pistol is designed to work within a certain pressure range. Shooting a softer recoil spring slows down the return of the slide and a heavier one speeds it up and slams the slide back harder than it was designed to be. My idea of +P 9mm is called 357 SIG. A 10mm is a +P 40 S&W to me. How much of this new ammo do you have? We need to get your gun working so at least you can use it up.

Brings a whole new meaning to the term "stealership". I need to let my buddy who lives in OB know to avoid that place. If the service manager is defending his guy I'd go up the food a chain, or blast them on social media.

There is a small difference tho,Aimpoint and trijicon have already beat the shit out of their optics for you in testing. Since these guys get le and military contracts, a lot of the price is in designs that eliminate failure points. While many will never abuse their optics, or even their firearms, it's important for them that if they have to, they can. It's not to say others won't be as reliable, but you have so much real world experience to trust in.

I think he still may. NRA dumped a ton of cash into him based on it. He's waiting for the right time. You cannot expect something like this to go through or even mentioned during a mass shooting,. It would just not look right. Everything needs to calm down. He has been fulfilling promises. He's hell bent making sure things are done as promised.
