Just picked up the Romanian Military Classic from Lee Armory, at a quick glance I'm impressed! If you don't know much about Lee Armory, they're based out of Arizona and assemble AKM's from virgin ROMARM Kits and they make them right. What I like from just one session at the range: -Polished TAPCO Trigger feels real nice -Cerakote job on the receiver is well done -Magwell is cut perfect. Used Magpul (gen 2), XTech Tactical and Chinese mags and they fit perfect without any wobble For $800 it's one hell of a gun, better than my WASR was that's for sure.

For what it's worth, the airport is not an exempted place to have hollow point ammunition, nor a place you can legally transport it to. That said, no one is going to check. If you have any bulk amount of it, just ship it to your destination. You have to declare it Hazmat. You need to place ORM-D markings or the Hazmat Diamond. That particular process is changing, ORM-D will no long be valid after December 31, 2020 it will become a "Limited Quantity" Hazmat Diamond. You must ship it from a UPS Depot, no UPS store or whatever will take it.

Currently watching Solo with my son. Every time I watch it, I notice something new that makes me like it more. It’s a great entry in the SW universe. May the Fourth be with you all.

Hello hello everyone! So who wants to go shoot but is too cheap or broke after buying new guns? One of the things I wanted to return to, in part due to being jelly of how well @67gtonut organized the RTSP shoot and @Krdshrk and @sota do the regular NJGF clay shoots at Clinton.... is doing regular community meetups like we did 10 years ago when the site was launched. The goal is to eventually have a regular weekday, once a week at least, at a range throughout the state. The first one I was able to hammer down is right where it all started, Brick Armory, Garden State Shooting Center. Thanks to Tony @tj462nj and crew, GSSC is going to host NJGF members the first Tuesday of every month. Best of all, Garden State Shooting Center is offering some AMAZING discounts for NJGF Members! $5 per person walk on! $5 gun rentals! Member pricing on ammo! Furthermore, if anyone joins GSSC, they get 2 months free membership! Thank you Tony and GSSC. I will be there at the first one and try to attend monthly. Will try to bring some new fun and exciting toys for folks to try (that are Jersey legit!) Range is open until 10PM so let's plan for 7PM?

So he scared the hell out of a home health aid. She ran out, called cops. Cops tried to get in touch with the guy who could of simply said... "Yep, inside home with a gun." Would have been end of story. I would say also makes a difference, was the guy there holding gun at her? or was it there simply on the table? People over react, assume worst case.

So I was thinking about it wondering when I last flew with Ammo. It was last month. Flew with a half full box of 6.5 PRC ammo in original Hornady box. Never declared, went into checked back, no issues. I would say look at the airline policies.

It appears that is a A2 Fash hider on the muzzle. You’d need another muzzle brake that doesn’t state or advertise it reduces flash, than have that one pinned and welded. Pin the stock. No mags over ten rounds and your NJ Legal.

Just remember, if the "peasants" decide to revolt, the most powerful military and police forces will be there in a second to snuff them out. The militia is no match for these warriors. This incident is proof, right?? Oh, wait... ONE GUY tied up and handcuffed a complete police force and caused issues for two schools... ONE guy... I wonder what a few groups of "focused" guys could do????

There were just a few spots on white clothing but Mrs. Rifleman was not happy. When she ain't happy, no one is and we get a new machine. That's how I roll yo.

Fairly positive would be covered under FOPA... but in any case, I have yet to have ANY TSA or clerk check ammunition. Btw, is the declare ammunition thing new? I thought it was only firearms. I am fairly positive in the past I just threw in ammo in the checked bag without declaring it. As long as it was in a box and not loose, you were okay.

I believe Mrs Peel @Mrs. Peel drives something more like this:

True but, other states do have minor hoops to jump through too. Safety courses and the like. Likely NJ will come up with impossible ones like guessing how many bubbles are in a bar of soap. And part of this case is to eliminate this step. The unfair judging of who can get approved and who can't violates the 14th of equal treatment. This is why the Chief is also being sued in this case.

Then it would have been a complete success.

Well, look at the actual features that it has. Collapsible stock, bayonet lug, flash hider. You can potentially pin the stock yourself. If you have a dremel you can dremel off a bayo lug (just hit it with some cold blue afterwards or a blue pen). Flash hider can be removed and replaced with a muzzle brake. Bring it somewhere to get pinned, or if you're a welder, drill a hole through the brake and into the threads on the barrel, drop in a pin and weld over the top. Where in NJ are you moving to? You could potentially just bring the upper to some place to get the compliance work done.

I will assume that the AR has a flash hider, not a muzzle brake (correct me if you replaced it already). In that case - Pin stock, Block or replace mag(s), Remove Bayonet lug and pin / weld a Muzzle Brake to the barrel. I would not bring the rifle here (non-compliant) yourself, but would arrange to with a local dealer in NJ to ship it to them and after compliance work is done, you can p/u the rifle. We do NJ Compliance work - If interested, PM me and we can discuss it........... JT

Put your ammo in an unmarked cardboard box, address it to your new address using UPS Online, and handwrite with a marker "ORM-D". Hand it to a UPS driver that you see driving around on that day or any day thereafter.

When I called TSA, I asked the clerk if she could tell me where on the site the info was that she quoted. She instead offered to email me directly the information. I had it within a half hour. Fantastic to deal with that day. Additionally I would look at it this way: I'm moving my legally owned and purchased HP ammo between two points of exemption. Nothing more. Pistols, same deal. Deep breaths...

I'm not a lawer When I flew to Michigan I declared what I had. They checked the box was locked. They did not open it. This crap is only a big deal here. Other parts of the country they simply don't make a big deal of it. I also called TSA to clear something up with them and the clerk was awesome to deal with. Good luck with your move.

it does. I MAY get the Khyber Customs mount that replaces the iron sight for an Aimpoint, MRO or RMR style mount. I may do that with a RMR replica like the vortex....or get a dog leg

Agree. However, Roberts needs to follow the Constitution. And must do so with strict scrutiny in our case. It is not supposed to be about wrestling with any personal views or outside noise. The 2A is clear and States within the union that attempt to usurp it must be stopped. I get your sentiment and I too feel he is the wildcard, but being on the high court, Roberts need to put that stuff aside and rule based on law. Hopeful on my end here and for us all.

Due to the popularity of the "Survivor" shows, Texas is planning to do one entitled: "Survivor - Texas-Style!" The lucky contestants will all start in Dallas, drive to Waco, Austin, San Antonio, then over to Houston and down to Brownsville. They will then proceed up to Del Rio, El Paso, Odessa, Midland, Lubbock, and Amarillo. From there they will go on to Abilene and Fort Worth, and finally , back to Dallas. Each contestant will be driving a pink Prius with 15 bumper stickers which will read: 1. "I'm A Democrat" 2. "Amnesty For Illegals" 3. "I Love RAP" 4. "Boycott Beef" 5 "I Voted For Obama" 6. "George Strait Sucks" 7. "Elect Hillary In 2020" 8. "Vote Eric Holder Texas Governor" 9. "Rosie O'Donnell Is A great role model" 10. "I Love Obama Care and Chuck Schumer" 11. "Kaepernick Is My Hero" 12. "I Side With Jane Fonda" 13. "It's all Bush's Fault” 14. "Islam Is A Peace-Loving Religion" - and the last sticker is; 15. "I'm Here To Confiscate Your Guns" The first contestant to make it back to Dallas alive wins.

I will apologize in advance for this post being off the topic of the thread's title, but for the lack of a more appropriate thread on where to post this, I decided to post this here. I received an email today from RM Sotheby’s auction house with an update of the various automobiles that they have had consigned for auction at this year’s big automobile auction in Monterey, CA in August. I had to chuckle when I saw this and read about it and had to think of NJGF’s very own, @Mrs. Peel. This would be quite the comical conversation vehicle to drive around town, but I would be very reluctant to attempt to take it out on any sort of highway. How about it.... would you like me to bid on this car for you Mrs. Peel? FYI, the Trident was manufactured by Peel, a building of fiberglass boats and motorcycle parts, located on the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea. The Peel Trident was launched at the 1964 British Motorcycle Show in the UK and is one of the smallest cars ever made in any quantity. It was made from the fall of 1963 to the end of 1964, with a total production of 80 Tridents. The body is made from fiberglass, with a clear Plexiglas bubble top, that serves as the roof and windshield and folds forward to open, allowing access. It could be had with either one or two seats and runs on 5” tires. It is powered by a 49 cc 4.2 hp DKWengie scooter engine coupled to a 3-speed transmission, (forward gears only), that gives the 330 lb car a top speed of 28 mph and prodigious gas mileage of 83 mpg.
