As an aside, this reminds me why we both have explicit wills that include specific firearm bequests.

#44 HOW TO USE A 7 YEAR OLD FILE PHOTO FOR A SPECIAL MOTHER'S DAY MESSAGE! THANKS TO @Sandy FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT FRIEND & FRIEND TO THE 2A CAUSE AS WELL! TAKE MOM TO THE RANGE FOR HER MOTHER'S DAY! PEW-PEW THERAPY GOOD FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY! by Black Wire Media Saturday May 11, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us The sun might be shining this Saturday morning, but alas, Mother's Day is expected to be a wash-out. Tomorrow take Mom & the kids out to a classic Jersey Diner OR make pancakes & eggs at home, then pack that minivan/suv and head to your favorite INDOOR RANGE with the tools of Freedom! Moms everywhere deserve some trigger time! Moms also take firearms ownership & responsibility seriously, and can be the deciding factor on whether or not firearms are even allowed in the home. Having moms enjoy shooting is key, and a range trip often helps answer questions and allay fears of the "unknown". Sandy Muldoon, co-founder of the Second Amendment Women Shooting Club - SAW, based at Anthony Colandro's Gun For Hire Woodland Park Range, and her daughter Molly, then age 5, are seen here shooting for the very first time together 7 years ago, prior to the formation of the Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners! CNJFO Vice President David "Rosey" Rosenthal invited the sharpshootin' mother-daughter duo to the Old Bridge Rifle & Pistol Club's indoor range where they all met for the first time. Muldoon had posted on NJ Gun Forums website ( www.njgunforums.com ) that she wanted some help teaching her 5 year old to shoot and Rosenthal jumped at the opportunity, inviting the pair for some mentoring and live fire. Using his son Andrew's .22LR Marlin single-shot bolt-action "Little Buckeroo", Rosenthal then conducted a safety class on the Club's "Safe Table", where fellow Police Practical Competition (PPC) and USPSA action shooters holster-up prior to a match. Rosenthal is OBR&PC's PPC League Co-Chair & Match Director, and bought that youth model Marlin a quarter of a century ago to mentor his own 4 year old, now a 29 year old married PA home owner. Molly Muldoon needed some help with the mechanics due to her small size, but the safety info was memorized, much to mom Sandy's pleasure. Using two fingers to pull the trigger, Molly kept all of her first shots on the target and smiles filled the range! Not wanting to make Molly's first shots a chore, when her muscles tired, everyone took a break, used D-Lead soap the range supplies, and had a snack prior to pumpin' more lead into her target. Lifetime memories were set in stone and a warm friendship blossomed. Sandy went on to co-found SAW, earn several NRA Instructor ratings, become an IDPA shooter, and hunt both pheasants and hogs at Coalition sponsored fundraisers with Rosenthal. Teaching kids to use firearms responsibly is just one of the Coalition's missions. We currently have a spot open for next month's Youth Day at the Range on Sunday June 23rd at Union Hill Gun Club in Monroe Twp., NJ. To purchase a ticket, please go to: www.cnjfo.com/event-3303402 . CNJFO wishes all moms a very Happy Mother's Day weekend! To find out more about us, JOIN or make a tax-deductible donation, please visit: www.cnjfo.com The above was posted to CNJFO Facebook page. It serves as the CAPTION for this image! The lead-in Story I shared to almost 50 pages is directly below: THIS MOTHER'S DAY REMEMBER TO BUY THE AMMO TOO! A HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY WISH FROM ALL OF US AT CNJFO! by Black Wire Media Saturday May 11. 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us Moms are great. They somehow manage (on top of everything else in our fast-paced lives) to send the kids to school wearing matching shoes. For the most part, they're also the decision makers when it comes to whether or not firearms are allowed to be stored under the family's roof. If you've "had the conversation" and lost, or attained a stalemate or "truce", consider taking mom for a range experience tomorrow so she can see for herself just how fun & safe shooting can be! With all of the expansion of firearms ownership and new ranges in NJ, and more & more women shooting, NOW is the perfect time to get mom to the range so she can witness women just like herself having a rewarding and SAFE experience. Women like SAW co-founder Sandy Muldoon, seen here with her then 5 year old daughter Molly, are the largest growing customer segment according to NSSF, the firearms industry's leading trade group. Modern families, single parent households, hate crimes in the news, and natural "Mama Bear" psychology all lead to the need for female empowerment. Sam Colt said it best, "a firearm in a woman's hands is a true equalizer". The Second Amendment Women Shooting Club -SAW, based at Gun For Hire's Woodland Park, NJ Range, is a group of empowered women that teach women how to shoot safely (www.sawshootingclub.com). Larger groups such as The Well Armed Woman, a nationally sanctioned women's shooting group, has several chapters throughout central & North Jersey. To find a chapter near you, go to: www.twawshootingchapters.org/find-a-local-chapter/ . Wishing all of the moms in our lives the best possible & happiest Mother's Day, from our house to yours, Pew-Pew-Pew!

There was no legal transfer of the firearms to you unless proper paperwork was done in NJ. The guns are part of your uncle's estate. AFAIK there is no need for an executor to have a FID to take possession of the firearms so they can be disposed of according to the will. That could mean dIstributing to heirs and/or selling them for cash to be distributed. If you refuse to turn them over to the executor that's pretty much like theft. There's no bsing anyone as the executor knows you have them. Whether the executors history of mental issues disqualifies them from discharging their duties in regards to the firearms is not for you to decide. I understand your concern. IANAL but IMO a lawyer will probably tell you to just turn the firearms over to the executor.

Maybe the guns were just in a box in a dark corner of your uncles basement the whole time. Just saying.

It was an illegal transfer. The old man was still alive. It wasn’t an inheritance. Find a 2a friendly lawyer ASAP or give them over.

A comment seen on Town Hall: Hillary Clinton and her driver were cruising along an Iowa country road one evening when an old dairy cow loomed in front of the car. The driver tried to avoid it but couldn't. The aged cow was struck and killed. Hillary told her driver to go up to the farmhouse and explain to the owners what had happened and pay them for the cow. She stayed in the car making phone calls. About an hour later the driver staggered back to the car with his clothes in disarray. He was holding a half-empty bottle of expensive wine in one hand, a huge Cuban cigar in the other, and was smiling happily, smeared with lipstick. "What happened to you," asked Hillary? "Well," the driver replied, "the farmer gave me the cigar, his wife gave me the wine, and their beautiful twin daughters made passionate love to me." "What did you tell them?" asked Hillary. The driver replied, "I just stepped inside the door and said, 'I'm Hillary Clinton's driver and I've just killed the old cow.' The rest happened so fast I couldn't stop it."

The 7T holsters are inferior to the 6300 and 6400 models.

I would like to know how the Executor knew you had them.

@High Exposure Thank you. I have the stock plunger that I put a good polish on. It seems pretty clean to my non-discerning trigger finger. Break is clean. A bit on the heavier side, I’m thinking 4.5-5 lbs as a seat of the pants guess. That’s fine for me. The connector is an Apex and again, seems fine to me. I’m used to DA triggers on revolvers so this is all good in my head. As far as springs, I’ll run what I have until I figure out what I want out of the gun and what it’s doing while getting run. As for the barrel, I’m gonna run the stock barrel for the moment. I plan to flush it to the slide. I also have some minor slide treatments that I’m planning on as I now have a milling machine. I have the threaded LWD barrel as it came with the package. I’m not 100% on using it and as of this moment won’t “build” it into the gun. I’m fine with sitting on it. That means that for the moment, no comp. Holster will be a gaming holster. I don’t CCW except around the house very occasionally. I have another pistol for that. And by gaming, I mean super casual Sunday nights at Tenafly once they start back up.

I’m just catching this thread now. Bully, you got good advice so far and made some good purchases. I have the Overwatch triggers same as Mrs.Z. I like the Falx - I’m not a fan of flat faced triggers. KKM is my go to barrel, but I have tried some others. Lone Wolf is OK - I have an original and an Alpha .40-9mm Conversion barrel. I also grabbed a Victory first G19 barrel and I am really liking it. Great value to be had there. Understand that no matter what the advertisement says, you will never get a 1911 trigger feel on a Glock. If you are looking for the feel of a 1911 trigger, get a 1911. That being said, you can clean the Glock trigger up a bit though without sacrificing safety. First thing I would recommend is the Apex Striker Safety Plunger for the slide - if you have not already grabbed one. Makes a huge difference in the way the trigger feels. I’d rather a stock OEM trigger with the Apex plunger than an aftermarket trigger and a stock plunger. Second, throw a Ghost connector in there and you are golden. There are lots of options from Ghost. Some require fitting, some don’t. Find one you like, it’s pretty subjective. They are pretty cost effective, so you can try a few without killing your wallet. Remember, the higher “weight” the trigger pull, the crisper the break. As you get lower weight trigger connectors, you will start to get that spongey-feel. Finally, look at aftermarket triggers. I see you grabbed one already - the Apex is a solid choice by reputation, but I have no time on one. Don't mess with springs until you get time on the gun so you know what feels different. I use all Wolff springs at the stock weights in all of my Glocks (except for the Recoil Springs - I use OEM for that). The Apex No Fail Extractor is a good investment as well. It won’t change the way the gun shoots. But is a nice add-on especially if your gun is throwing brass in your face instead of to the side. For the holsters - what’s your purpose? Carry? CCW? Competition? You 100% going to put a comp in it.

That is EXACTLY the kind of bunk I was expecting. Now I want to cry all over again. The fire was bad enough... now they are intent on really ruining it for future generations. Can you imagine? Dropping a ridiculously modern-looking top right smack-dab on top of that gorgeous, ancient Gothic building? Mon dieu!!! It's freaking obscene! I knew as soon as that nitwit Macron mentioned an "architecture contest" that the building was forever DOOMED. No one but expert preservationists should be involved in a project like that... NO ONE!!!! Jackasses!!

Are you sharpening the blades from the bottom (flat side) of the blade? Blades that are sharpened on both sides (like a kitchen knife) will dull faster. It's a bad, bad, BAD shortcut. Not only that, but you cannot possibly ensure the blades are well balanced. Unbalanced blades cause excess vibration and shorten the life of a mower. The only way to properly balance the blades is to take them off the deck. Blades should be sharpened at least twice a year. A dull blade will make grass shorter, but it isn't exactly cutting it. It's more like ripping it to shreds. If your lawn looks brown a day or two after you mow, your blades are dull. Not only does it look terrible, but you are stressing the plant and also exposing your lawn to risk of fungal disease. Dull blades can also rip the grass (roots and all) right out of the soil. A nice clean cut heals, whereas a ragged smashed blade of grass may not recover. Over time, dull blades just make the situation worse with every cut. I'm not saying you need razor sharp blades all the time, but there is a threshold. If your lawn is small, then the interval between sharpening is longer, you can get away with sharpening only 2x every year. If you have a 1/2 acre or more, then maybe every 6th cut check the blades. They should be at least as sharp as a butter knife. Blades should be sharpened to a 45 degree angle, only on one side. The sharper the blade, the more healthy your lawn will be. Your grass will be spending it's energy on growing instead of healing and fighting off infections. Yes, lawns can get sick too.

Nick, didn't you shoot mine suppressed?!?!?!?! Or watch the video? Yes, it is threaded. There IS a non-threaded version for Commiefornia too though. Honestly though, don't see the point of a comp on this or a flash hider. Recoil is light as it is and the gun is heavy enough.

Stihl..which is apparently the Dillon of the power tools world. Bought the Stihl FS 56 RC last year and quite happy. Easy to start, lasts for a damn long time and powerful enough for anything I needed it for.

Fuck the french... Notre Dame was in need of major improvements for many years and the French Government refused to help due to its refusal to give funding on religious projects. The church ignored it as well except they started fundraising for the needed repairs. The people of France are now sad it burned down?? Where the fuck were they over the last few years when fundraising was being conducted to do much needed improvements to the cathedral... No where.... the vast majority of donations came from the American people not the french... They are secular and refused to donate to a catholic cathedral. Now that it burned down they all jump in as if they really care... Most do not. The french Government only now wants to help as they realized they lost a major tourist attraction.
