Have always loved the way the Walther PPK looked and wanted one, until I shot one and remembered the horrible recoil and the big reliability issues with the various US Made and imported models. Was out visiting a gun auction in the middle of PA (or what felt like) and found this guy that I needed to liberate. 1940 Walther PP. 1 Mag, no holster unfortunately. Generally not a fan of Nazi stuff but this was a very good piece of history at a very reasonable price. Really good condition, regular holster wear.

Only thing nicer than the BRT linear comp was the Griffin Armament M4SD Linear Comp, but good luck getting one, those things are like good dust, and Griffin Armament told me two weeks ago that they have no intention of ever producing another run of them. Should've bought two when they still had 'em!

Hi Jay Jay! Welcome to the forum. I think the OP got his answer about 8 years ago! You do NOT need that stupid card to shoot. Only to buy in the PRNJ!

@Maksim nice gun. I've always had a PP/PPK around since 1973. I have a few now. I have a late war (1944) PP in 32. That was when they stopped marking them except for serial number and an acceptance stamp. It has some serious pitting but for $125 I couldn't pass it up. The pride of my PP/PPK assortment is a mid-60s PPK in 32. JUST LIKE THE GENUINE JAMES BOND!!! I've wanted one since 1962 when I started reading Bond and eventually got one. It was unfired but I changed that! Some of the forum members got to shoot it at one of our informal meets. I share Skeeter Skelton's opinion that a PP/PPK in 32 or 380 with FMJ is about as effective as a 2" 38 with 158 RNL. Not something you want to dismiss.

Stay as far aft as you can while underway. Don't eat a big meal or a greasy meal before heading out. Don't look at stuff close up for any length of time, like, don't read a book. Move around. Don't sit with your head down and eyes on the floor. EDIT: Have your cuppa Joe well before you head out, dont drink citrus or acidic beverages. Get yourself a bag of Gem brand ginger chews.

I have never been bitten by mine. Interesting side note, my 22lr will take any .22 ammo and cycle properly. Even with sub sonic ammo.

Do not go inside the boat, stay out on deck. Allot of people who go indoors end up sea sick. I know a few people who get good results from the patches that go behind the ear.

Flotation panels are built into the armor package now. Plus they are probably wearing an inflatable yoke type vest. Alternatively, they may have a quick release on the armor, where if you pull a certain part of the armor, the armor will fall off your body.

It's a Firearms Purchaser Identification Card . You don't even need one to own a gun. So as BRaptor said taking wife to the range and letting her shoot is Good to Go.

Hi Paul I think your wife needs gun training and a NJ FID Card because it's better to be safe than to pay the price for accidents that'll cost both of you. I'm a NJ FID Card holder for 6 years now and I shoot a lot on Sundays for 6 years going on 7 years I have 12 years experience from the full time overseas Army I know about putting bullets in people's bodies because my body suffered the same faith bro in Iraq and Northern Korea, it's your choice. good day.

I see different she must possess a NJ FID Card and gun training like I do since the U.S. Army in which I'm trained for carrying and shooting why put a powerful weapon in a person's hand without mentally being prepared.
