#67 2A GROUP GETS NATIONAL COVERAGE! CNJFO EX. BOARD MEMBERS ATTEND CHRIS CUOMO CNN TOWN HALL LAST NIGHT! CNJFO "MAKES AIR" ON CNN TOWN HALL LAST NIGHT! INACKER ASKS THE PANEL ONLY PRO-GUN QUESTION! by Black Wire Media Thursday August 8, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us CNJFO Communications Director Theresa Inacker asked the only pro-gun, pro 2nd Amendment question of the entire national broadcast on last night's CNN Town Hall "America Under Assault: The Gun Crisis" hosted by Chris Cuomo! Inacker asked Cuomo and the panel of 2 consisting of the former Philadelphia, PA Police Commissioner and a Brady campaign spokesperson, "Do you believe a woman has a right to chose whether or not to defend her own body? And in the manner she chooses? And the government should NOT interfere with that decision?" Inacker's question caught all three men off-guard, with the Police Commissioner agreeing that deadly force is sometimes necessary and Cuomo admitting he owned a gun! Last night's appearance on CNN came about because an assistant producer at the network sought-out CNJFO Vice President David "Rosey" Rosenthal, asking him to appear on the Town Hall and invited Rosenthal to submit three questions for the panelists. Rosenthal, realizing that Inacker stood a better chance of "making AIR" (getting to ask a question), immediately asked the assistant producer if Inacker could attend in his place. The end result is they both were invited & submitted questions on an electronic form, in advance of the show airing. Although all three of his questions remain unasked, here is what Rosenthal submitted: 1. "If the next five unconstitutional gun laws stop the problem of mass shootings and murder WILL YOU STOP promoting gun control?" 2. "Who exactly is going door-to-door to confiscate legally-purchased personal property in the name of "feel-good legislation" and are the criminals that use illegal guns against society going to be visited FIRST or will the legal, law-abiding, registered gun owners be disarmed and made vulnerable to the criminal element? In what Utopia is this scheme going to work?" 3. "There's over 20,000 gun control laws on the books throughout America. Crafted mostly by Politicians that say things like this, "What makes guns so special, we vote on things we know nothing about all the time!" --NJ State Senator Loretta Weinberg direct quote. So when do we start having a serious discussion whereby the law-abiding gun owner isn't locked-up because a new law makes them an instant felon before the ink is dry?" In addition to Inacker and Rosenthal, CNJFO President Matt Andras was in the audience sandwiched between a slew of "Brady Campaign" paid lobbyists. Andras and Rosenthal tried to drive to Tony Simon's house (CNJFO got him an official invite also), but due to torrential rains & flooded streets, couldn't pick up Simon to drive to NYC. Representing a pro-2nd Amendment viewpoint on the national stage is both an honor and an awesome responsibility. The Coalition will always strive to represent legal, law-abiding gun owners everywhere. So they want to make a movie where the safe space / can't figure out what bathroom to use crowd wants to hunt the 2nd amendment loving deplorables? So its a fantasy movie?

It's what the movie is about. Totally wrong, Not what the country needs. The haves and have nots with all the division in this country already, last thing we need is a movie that might divide us even more.. Don't need crazies getting more riled up. Don't you think it would make it worse for all of us?

10X and Johnny B are correct. The guns are yours. If the guns are NJ legal (and it sounds like they are), you put them in your trunk and bring them into NJ. If you do not have a trunk, the guns need to be cased. There is no need to register the guns with the NJSP or transfer them thru a FFL. I am sure the NJSP would love to have you register all of your guns, but it is not required by law. I am sure some FFLs would love to charge you $50 per gun to transfer them to you, but it is not required by law. The NJ FPID card allows you to buy long guns as often as you wish & to buy handgun ammo. Legally, you do not need the FPID to buy long gun ammo, but some places make you show it. The FPID allows you to transport unloaded and cased long guns in your vehicle all the time as long as the location is not a prohibited location... ie gov. buildings, schools etc. Without the FPID card, you would only be allowed to take the guns directly from your NJ home to a range, gunsmith or other property owned by you (which also includes any business you own). Deviations whilst traveling with a firearm are not allowed. Best of luck to you.

@basshole - it's a good thing you posted your question here, isn't it? One of the things that consistently amazed me when I first lurked on this site was seeing how often cops (and occasionally FFLs, too) give out the WRONG LEGAL INFO!!! Though granted, some of them have an anti-2A slant, I think ignorance is far more often the cause! For instance, in the last 4 years, there have been 3 different troopers that rotated through the firearms assignment at my local state police barracks. And that's NOT the only duty they're assigned --- the same person that processes the firearms paperwork is also the state police rep for the local municipalities (attending their town council meetings and dealing with issues that arise, etc.) and other duties as well. Firearms law in this state is quite complex - and yet, in some cases, the people tasked with doling out the info will almost inevitably be new to the role. I'm sure they get some kind of training... but if they're only in that rotational assignment a brief time, how can they ever really build expertise? So they could either constantly call the real experts at the firearms unit in Trention, or more likely, if they're rushed... on occasion, if they're just "pretty sure" about the answer (but still WRONG), I'm sure they just give out the wrong info anyway. Case in point... one of my girlfriend's inherited her son's guns when he (sadly) passed away. When the cop released the guns to her - he told her she "had to apply for an FPID within 30 days." It took me pulling up the same info online as W2MC just did (above) AND showing her several posts on NJGF to convince her that what he told her was total poppycock. LOTS AND LOTS of bad info being given out, unfortunately!

https://www.njsp.org/firearms/firearms-faqs.shtml #10: direct from the NJ State Police If I inherit a firearm what must I do? Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2C:58-3j, a firearm purchaser identification card and/or a handgun purchase permit shall not be required for the passing of a firearm upon the death of an owner thereof to his/her heir or legatee, whether the same by testamentary bequest or by the laws of intestacy. The firearm must be legal to possess in New Jersey and the person receiving the firearm shall not be prohibited by N.J.S.A. 2C:58-3c before receiving the firearm. If the heir or legatee does not qualify to acquire and possess the firearm, then ownership may be retained for a period not to exceed 180 days provided the firearm is transferred to the chief law enforcement officer of the municipality or the superintendent during such period

Madison Trust company is the lien holder, they have filed to foreclose, and the owner, has filed an intent to relinquish the property. This should happen any day now, according to the township idiots. We shall see. Once the lien holder has possession of the property, I’m going to pester every township, county, and state office that is applicable to cite code and fire violations, until they either demolish it, sell it, or deed it to the township.

Well, it was worth a shot. My only experience with a live burn was decades ago in Idaho; I was working on a ranch for the summer, and the owner decided to burn down a small, run-down shed. It was in a safe location to do so, and we lit it up. There must have been four or five of us standing around watching it burn, when a fire truck came racing out from town and up the dirt lane where we were standing. The firemen got out, and just milled around with us once they realized it was a controlled burn. Finally, the ranch owner asked the driver who called in the fire. The driver replied that he didn't know, they just got a call for a fire three miles north and a mile west of the bridge. We all went back to watching the fire for a moment, and then when the statement sank in, all heads swiveled in unison around to the southeast, where a large column of black smoke could clearly be seen in the distance. The ranch owner yelled 'we're three miles west and a mile north!!' The firemen all piled back into the truck and raced off in the direction of the fire call. I never found out what had burned out there, but they lost a good 20 minutes in responding.

Not anymore. At least not in NJ. The safety requirements and EPA regs are insane for a live burn. They’ll use acquired structures for training but nothing with real fire conditions.

Interesting..the latest Jack Reacher novel is about a group of rich guys hunting a couple of poor young travelers stuck there by car trouble. Of course, any fans of the series can guess how it turns out.

No tin foil hat needed....It's pretty freaking obvious! According to the Hollywood trade publication, characters in the film refer to the victims as “deplorables,” which is what Hillary Clinton famously dubbed Trump supporters during the 2016 election. The report noted that a character asks, "Did anyone see what our ratf--ker-in-chief just did?"

I mean lets just be real.. "Pistol grip" means: well defined handle, similar to that found on a handgun, - CHECK that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon, - CHECK and which permits the firearm to be held and fired with one hand. - CHECK (keep in mind it just says that it can be.. not can be comfortably... or practically) you have to understand.. people ask questions.. you read the law.. and it is what it is.. are there shops not following this or that.. will the state prosecute.. I have no idea.. I am just answering based on what it is..
