Start collecting medium to large.road kill. Leave.it across property, lead trail to broken basement window, chuck a deer hind quarter or two through the basement window. Tell the township you think a mountain lion has made it their den. You're concerned it may hurt a neighborhood child. If that doesn't work, put up a very large "TRUMP 2020!" banner across front or side of house (which ever faces street). Some crazy lib will prob burn the house down.

Just a hunch, but I think even the liberal justices must be PISSED that legislators are threatening the court if they don't rule the way they want. This strong arm tactic could well backfire.

There won’t be a “test case” because there is no laws being broken.

wow reading the grammar one. Such disingenuous fucks. They make the claim that since the phrase keep and bear arms appears mostly in docuements referring to militaries that it can't possibly be referring to individual rights. Totally and willfully ignoring the "the rights of the people" part. Yeah no shit it is military language. It is saying the people have the right to keep and bear arms as any military would because THEY ARE THE MILITIA. It makes even more sense when you include the fact the government is not supposed to have a standing army.

This morning I called CC Fire Inspector. I had a nice discussion with him. He told me, because the property is a single family home, that they do not have much stroke in the matter. He referred me to the NJ Div. of Fire Safety. I spoke to the Fire inspector, and he not only made sure the complaint was logged into the system, but he called the inspector for the area (who covers Camden and Burlington county). Said someone should be out there in a day or so. He was also concerned that a property abandoned for 10+ years and falling apart has not been addressed by Stratford Fire. Told me after he gets a report from his inspector, he would be talking to both the township office, and Stratford Fire. I very well may piss off a LOT of people at the township! Just what I need to get people moving. Still, ZERO contact from the mayor.

We are not in some grey area here. The State police already gave their opinion that the submitted "firearms" are legal, and ANYTHING substantially identical.. I have no doubts that regardless if you had a TROY MM or DS or home built, they will probably take your gun for inspection... because even those listed could be reconfigured to be illegal.. so what does that letter you hand them really do for you? All of this hinges on whether the cop thinks the gun is legal.... I had a cop give me a ticket when i moved because the DMV stopped giving out stickers for licenses, all i had was a print out from the DMV.... So just be aware theyre gonna do what ever they want regardless and let who ever figure it out later. DOES MM EVEN HAVE A LETTER? all i found is DS and TROY.

Really? Pretty sure the fact these things even exist in this state is enough.... hardly doubt the fact one can be assembled from a transferrable receiver would push them over that edge. The fact is, the state wants these registered through their NICS system... thats it. The fact is, they are legal to build... as outlined in their own letters, no such law states they cannot. The fact is, they outline the legal definition of substantially identical to include anything the resembles by law the firearms given the green light. THE FACT IS, once you build a substantially identical "firearm" it makes zero difference if it was built from a receiver or purchased... A complete home built firearm... is NO DIFFERENT than a MM Firearm.

Is it really any different than people building their own normal ARs instead of purchasing complete rifles from manufacturers? Its the same middle finger, just a bit shorter.
  11. 2 points
I’m in the process of building mine. The brace came today. I pick up the lower tomorrow. Upper receiver will be build by Andro Corp. The NJSP provided a letter that outlines what characteristics make his type of firearm legal. Follow it and you’ll be fine. In one of these threads, the guy recorded a conversation with NJSP and they said it was fine to build your own, just be carefully not to create an SBR. Not sure I fully understand the line of thinking that the letter only applies to that specific firearm and nothing else. AFAIK, you don’t need NJSP approval to sell NJ compliant firearms. Does every single AR manufacturer and home builder get approval letter for their version of an AR15 or do they just follow the law? I don’t understand why this would be any different.

I'd say Congress needs to pay more attention to what the Public thinks of them and not what they say the Public thinks of SCOTUS.

Awesome. Can’t wait for this one. I’m very illiterate with computers. Never needed them in farming. My wife does that stuff. But stilll. I use my phone to get emails and respond. Whats the mayor. Like 114 years old. What a useless asswipe. And if thats the case. Why does he have an email address? Sounds like the same bs in my twsp. Lies and incompetence.

Township meeting tonight. I’m going. This isn’t going to be pleasant for the mayor and the town council.

For this case, No. Even the NY "law makers" have acknowledged that their law is no good. Worst that happens is law is over turned, with no other judicial findings.

I just heard that our mayor doesn’t ‘do’ email..... In this day and age??!!!! We DONT use stone tablets and chisels. I have the feeling he doesn’t want to go on record for saying anything.....

Am I the only one who's still concerned about the composition of our current SCOTUS? It's better than it was a couple years ago, sure... but with wishy-washy Roberts at the helm, and Kavanaugh still being a bit of an intangible IMO, this case's potential outcome is still a crap shoot, I think. Are these judges strong enough to withstand the pressure? I'd feel so much better if there was a bigger pro-2A SCOTUS majority before a 2A case was even heard... but I realize there's never any guarantees of these things. Fingers crossed though!!!!

It gets better. Democrats threatening the court with “restructuring” over this case: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/senate-dems-deliver-stunning-warning-to-supreme-court-heal-or-face-restructuring Also ignores existing precedent of Heller that clearly defines the 2A as an individual right.

This whole thing is an exercise in how this isn't true. The law bans a very specific class of firearms--if it doesn't fall into that, it's legal. People love ribbing Californian gun owners but at least they are always trying to work around their laws with things like the bullet button. Anyone here suggests anything that doesn't have a stamp of approval from both NJSP and Evan Nappen and it's definitely not legal, like some sort of Stockholm syndrome. Also, I have to imagine you're exaggerating, but if the average experience at Range 14 is LEOs checking if your guns are legal, remind me to never shoot there.

Built on a normal AR15 receiver. NJ legal. https://sonsoflibertygw.com/solgw-occupied-zone-other-firearm-customizable/ And another on a standard AR15 receiver. Neither of these have approval letters yet are being sold legally in state. Are these dealers pushing out illegal weapons? Or does that "clarification letter" really hold no power behind its "suggestion"

So I have not played with Joe's rifles... Waiting for @Modern Materiel to get me and @Rufio.Weaponworks one to demo for videos and magazines. But I have now put a few hundred rounds through my Troy A4 and should have a Dark Storm Variant this week. Realistically... what is peace of mind cost you? Do you go to a range or build your own range in back yard? As far as I know, there was a letter from NJSP saying that they only approve of the ones currently sold as such, that started out as an "Other firearm." When you think of the worst case... If you build your own... you are 100% responsible. IF you bought one... you have the manufacturer, the NJ State Police, the Distributors and retail FFL who all are in the same camp and said it was okay. So is saving a day's worth of ammo worth it? And besides.. when it comes time to resell OR when gun control starts clamping down towards election, that $1300 gun may be $2,000... Were you a gun owner after Sandy Hook when a POS DPMS that was $500 was now selling for $1,500? And people were lining out the door for it. Beyond that, you are getting good components on the guns, they are not cheap builds. On the Troy, I like the fact that it comes with Troy battle sights and I LOVE the new thin rail. @Modern Materiel uses good components too and @Dark Storm is essentially ALL US Made and was OEM for quite a few other gun companies. At this point I estimate there are about 2,000 or so of these rifles that are sold through dealers or in their inventories, based on discussions with the folks who produce them. No one is going door to door at this point. I can totally see it closed in the future though... but then you would either STFU OR send it to America. None of the three guns being sold are cheap $600 ARs and if you have ANYTHING to lose, I would urge not to build your own... even IF you could.... too much risk. I would rather drive around with the gun and the NJSP letter. lol.

State Police cannot set the "law" unless this is incorporated into an administrative regulation or statute. However, it would be stupid to "stir the pot" as we know what would come next. This is really guidance, but very important guidance. But it does beg the question if you assemble one, and what you assemble does not vary from the "mold". No harm, no foul? Of course, dealers would be well advised to follow this guidance.

Here’s my email to the mayor of Stratford: Hi Mayor Keenan, My name is Displaced Texan, and I live at XXXXXX in Stratford. My wife and I have been homeowners, taxpayers, and voters in this community for 15 years. In the time we have resided here in Stratford, we have watched an abandoned home across the street from us (XXXXXX) steadily deteriorate. It has been abandoned and neglected for 10+ years now. This abandoned property is not only an eyesore to all the residents of Stratford, but it presents an imminent health, safety, and fire hazard to the residents of our community. My neighbors and I have observed vermin (mice and rats) in the yard, and I have personally witnessed a raccoon enter the house through a broken window on more than one occasion. There are homeowners with small children in close proximity to this house, and the vermin present on this property pose a VERY real danger, and health risk to them and all members of our community. There is significant overgrowth of bushes and weeds which, until recently, (courtesy of another concerned neighbor) has completely obscured the front of the home. There are 2 abandoned cars on this property adding to the list of code infractions. The roof of this house is in abysmal shape and squatters have cut out the copper pipes of the home. We are extremely concerned about the safety and security of our neighborhood, and the negative effect that this sorely neglected property has on our community. Numerous complaints over the years to the township (both under your administration, and previous administrations), have been unanswered...and most likely, not even documented. We have heard all the excuses, we all know the family history, we know the property is changing hands, and it is well past time for action. This property has long been a nuisance to the neighborhood, and it MUST be adressed ASAP. Sir, myself, and my neighbors are formally requesting via this email, that you, and the town council take immediate, aggressive action to remedy this unacceptable situation. It’s time to actually REPRESENT your constituents, and be a part of the solution, instead of being part of the problem. Should you and the town council fail to take action, I am prepared to take this issue to every relevant county and/or state agency the situation warrants, to bring attention to this property, until a satisfactory resolution has been achieved. Feel free to contact me via email with your plan of action. I’ll be sharing all correspondence (or lack thereof) with my neighbors, so that we are all keenly aware of the township’s intentions to rectify this imminently hazardous situation. We all, await your response. Respectfully. Displaced Texan and concerned residents of Stratford Email: I took a walk on the property a few moments ago, and see that the township boarded up the broken basement window. Mrs Tex things that they will clean up the back yard, and probably leave it as is. Still haven’t heard back from the mayor. ETA: I have also heard via a member of the Stratford FB page that Royal Farms may have pulled out, and that a Tim Hortons has also backed out. Have not confirmed either one yet, but I will.

There has been some traction on this today. The Camden County Health inspector was there earlier today. He called me to ask a few question about the property. Asked if anyone was living there, because it still has electricity. He was absolutely dumbfounded that the place had been abandoned for 10+ years, and still has electricity. Said it was a tinderbox. He told me he was going to the borough to speak with them about it. I’m working today, but Mrs Tex is home, she said that shortly after, Stratford Public works paid the place a visit. Seems as my work is beginning to get some attention. We shall see how far it goes. I emailed the mayor on Sunday, but have not heard a response yet. I’ll redact some personal information, and post the letter later this evening. It was worded ‘strongly’, and left no doubt the natives in the neighborhood are restless about it. I told him I will only correspond via email, as I’ll be sharing his responses with the neighborhood. Hehehehehe! Its a great suggestion to take this to the news media...and I will at some point, if action stalls. Stratford is trying to attract new businesses to the town, and I’m pretty sure the township won’t like the negative attention. For the moment, the pot is stirred. Let’s see how much soup we get out of it.

The township has been paying a contractor to cut the grass at this property for the last 8 years. Costs $45 per cut. I was told a little while ago by a town councilman that the township placed a lien against the property for 2 cuts...$90. After all these years of paying for it!!!! Are you KIDDING me?!!! The TAXPAYERS of Stratford will eat the cost of 8 years of yard work?! What a bunch of incompetent asshats!! I need a drink.....where’s my bourbon...

Also tex. I know this cause i ran for committee last year. Bad year to run gop in a 75 percent dem twsp ill win this year. But ive been to many committee meetings and if you raise a stink theyll do all they can do for you if you have a reasonable complaint. Which yours is. And they will probably move quickly. Remember. The mayor is the big boss and the other committee members are their consigliere's.

Thanks Peel. Mrs Tex and I have already thought about emailing 6ABC news and a few others. We are going to give it a few weeks to let the system work (as well as the mortgage company to take possession of the house). I am also going to the next township meeting, and raising hell. Mrs Tex is stirring up the neighborhood on the township FB page as we speak. Believe it or not, this old redneck bubblehead CAN be presentable and reasonable on TV...lol. My neighbors are also getting involved too, and don’t mind making noise. BTW, Mrs Tex says hi!
