We have always had to be vigilant, but the buffer is eviscerating. A couple of generations of "progressive" education and unbridled purposeful immigration to change our American identity and this is what it has come to. Dependence on a tyrannical government is not a good thing and the deck is stacked as the government is stacked with traitors of the people. A major disruption in our daily lives could come easily and leave a vacuum for the organized and funded statists to march on. Even If the POTUS and the SCOTUS can slow it down, there is still an inevitability of the coming future that will be written as Trump won't be there forever, just as the opportunist Christy has left and the collectivist statists have taken over. Coming from this corrupt shithole of undemocracy (NJ) we are lacking a perspective of other areas of our nation that are at least a generation behind with the ramblings of unconstitutional gun control and their agenda to create a terrain in which the people CANNOT stand up for their freedom and to the aggressive and coordinate designs, propaganda, and machinations of those that would chose to rule without checks and balances. Under the current trajectory one of two things will happen, either a civil war OR a neutered and disarmed Slave State seems to be inevitable. In either one, this nation and its people will suffer and a brilliant rendition of a people seeking to live as free as possible by limiting the power of the government will fade. What amazes me is how people can blindly follow this ruling class and their media and the agenda being put on us without critical thinking and looking at the big picture and how slight changes have big affects in the future and what the decisions now hold for that future.

Chris Smith (R-NJ) will vote with the dems. So will Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA). But I don’t think it will get past the senate. Even if it did, it would not be a veto proof majority. If Trump maintained the stiffness in his spine....which is no way a given....he could veto a ban with good political cover. Plus...I think he knows that if he signs an assault weapon ban, he is gone in 2020.

I will maintain my membership but will not contribute anything additional. What is interesting is that this full-on gun agenda is being pushed just as OUR NRA organization is having trouble. Coincidence?

OK. I'll just vote for him. Again.

Yes! It bans almost every semi auto in existence! I am not worried about it as long as Trump is in office. Also, it won't make it out of the Senate.

Tony, I would file in Special Civi court. I had a deadbeat tenant that owed me almost $10K in back rent when evicted. I filed all of the paperwork myself and won by default because the renter did not respond to the complaint. I had to file two more times to have wages garnished and got every penny owed me plus mileage and interest. It is a very simple process that just requires documentation. I had attorneys tell me that they would handle it for 1/3. It cost me postage and one trip to the Ocean County courthouse. Don't believe that you need an attorney to handle simple filings, especially when it is a clear cut case with documentation.

Again, no semantics. Sometimes the chief may sign them late on a Friday and the records clerk doesn't get them back until Monday or Tuesday to notify me. My permits might be issued 4 or 5 days before I get notified to pick them up. I don't wait 6 weeks to do so. I understand they forgot to put in the date. You should have caught that when you picked them up. Mistakes are made by everyone.

Not semantics - The “Issued date” is when the Chief approves your application in FARS, signs the paper permit, and you are notified that your permits/ID card is ready. There is no “issued to you” date - it is simply up to you to come and pick it up. The fact that it took you 6 extra weeks to come pick it up after being notified it is ready is not the Department or the Chief’s fault. That’s on you - Own it. Yeah, I get it, you are busy - everyone is busy. Again, that’s on you, not the PD. As for entering the date - mistakes happen. That is why you are supposed to review the forms for accuracy when you pick them up.

The date they are issued is what counts and the clock starts ticking. The PD will probably enter the issue date on the permits. The fact that it took you time to pick them up is on you not them. I've never had an issue getting permits extended. IIRC it is up to the chief if he or she wants to extend the permit or not. I've never heard of someone not having their permit extended but I'm sure it's happened.

THAT is the travesty of America - TWO sets of laws and rules, where states can override the American Constitution. It should be the other way around - states need to ENFORCE the American Constitution, not violate it. Our nation is deep into an ideological civil war that's slowly heating up. Patriots, be prepared for what's coming.
