Just for fun, I showed the photo to 15 people today. 10 young 25ish true millennials , 6 didn't get it, 1 said something wrong with the clip and 1 questioned the plastic but wasn't really sure, 2 got it right. other 5 were 40ish to 50ish all got it right, I stopped there, no reason to go on.

Looking at this as my next possible caliber up. Debating .308 vs 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm leaning towards 6.5 Creedmoor as it maintains velocity better, recoil is about 2/3 of .308, overall better ballistic coefficients. And the price is solid.

Believe it or not it's the round. The 200 grains fail the "pluck test". My 230 grain pass and fired. It was the ammo type all along. I don't understand how the shell diameter differs in the same brand with the bullet weight but there you have it.

I rented the Troy this morning at Longshot and must say that I was really impressed with the handling characteristics and absence of recoil. I only put 50 rounds through because buying ammo at range will make you poor quickly but it really is a well made and balanced firearm. And of course it's pretty loud esp in an indoor range but that's to be expected. If I wasn't waiting for a 9mm NJ legal SBF I would pick one up.
