3 pointsI've been thinking this for awhile now. If they're taking your guns, but sending you home where you can download instructions for a pipe bomb... or rent a box truck at Home Depot... the violent threat has NOT been eliminated!!! Don't forget: Worst massacre in our lifetimes? 9/11 - box cutters and airliners were used - no guns! Worst school massacre in American history? Bath School Massacre 1928 - explosives were used - no guns! And if the person is suspected of being suicidal... what?... you take their guns - likely leaving them feeling humiliated and even more depressed, but then you send them home to a house with pills, knives, razor blades and rope? What sense does THAT make? This is an end run around the 2A... nothing more!

3 pointsTwo Arabs boarded a flight from Washington to New York. One sat in the window seat, the other in the middle seat. Just before take-off a little Israeli guy got on and took the aisle seat next to the Arabs. He kicked off his shoes, wiggled his toes and was just settling in when the Arab in the window seat said, “I think I’ll go up and get a Coke.” “No problem,” said the Israeli, “Stay there, I’ll get it for you.” While he was gone, the Arab picked up the Israeli’s shoe and spat in it. When the Israeli returned with the Coke, the other Arab said, “That looks good. I think I’ll have one too.” Again, the Israeli obligingly went to fetch it, and while he was gone the Arab picked up the other shoe and spat in it too. The Israeli returned with the coke, and they all sat back and enjoyed the short flight to New York. As the plane was landing the Israeli slipped his feet into his shoes and knew immediately what had happened. “Acchh, how long must this go on?” he asked. “This enmity between our people…this hatred…this animosity…this spitting in shoes and pissing in cokes?”

2 pointsChicago Mayor Lightfoot: "The problem is all the guns coming from Indiana where they're easier to get." Chicago Tribune Reporter 45Doll: "Well if guns are the problem and much easier to get in Indiana, why isn't all the shooting going on over there?" Later that day... Chicago Tribune Editor: "45Doll... you're fired!"

2 pointsWho cares what he was thinking then? It aint Ham even when he called it Ham. Read the Bold above, He called it Ham at one time....since then Mr Taylor and his kin label it "pork roll" ergo, there is no such thing as Taylor Ham. As for your fake news photo of that box, go buy me some pork roll in that packaging from a local supermarket and present a receipt from the sale at that store on which the product is labeled taylor ham and I'll make you a PEC, apologize to all the misguided Hammers out there and refrain from ever calling it pork roll again. Deal?
-
2 pointsWe formed a focus group, then a committee, and finally a tribunal. We thoroughly investigated the matter, by which I mean, we looked at a package of Taylor Pork Roll, and it's STILL Taylor Pork Roll. Seriously, as litigious as NJ is, I'm surprised nobody has sued these greasy spoons for false advertising. If they are selling a product as ham, it had better be ham.
-
2 pointsFrom the article: "North Jersey calls it Taylor ham, South Jersey calls it pork roll, and Central is split on the issue, though most of the Central Jersey places visited on my road trip called it pork roll. (All Taylor ham is pork roll; not all pork roll is Taylor ham.)" - Hogwash Pork roll is pork roll, Taylor ham does not exist. The parenthesized sentence would be accurate if written like this.; All Pork Roll is Pork Roll; Not all Pork Roll is Taylor Brand Pork Roll. NJ.com.....Pffft.

2 pointsAs per the OP, he already replaced the gas block and a tube. Leading to improperly done hole... Humn, got access to a bore scope? My first thoughts were screwed up chamber causing issues with extraction but more and more agreeing with @Scorpio64 that someone botched the barrel job. And btw, for new folks... THIS IS WHY YOU TEST FIRE ANYTHING YOU BUY USED! But I have yet to see a barrel from a quality producer have issues... and well.. whoever sold it to you saying 40 rounds with "no problems" likely lied.

1 pointYep. Behind a few dozen protesters who have never swung a hammer and who don’t have the foggiest idea of what a sickle is for.
-
1 pointThanks @Smokin .50 good point. A Private club. Now that you mention it there's still some around. I guess if the poop ever hit the blower that would be a direction for the ambulance chasers to take too.
-
1 pointWasn’t trying to poo poo your truck. She is a beauty, wish i could afford one too. One in college and one in private high school. I probably have at least 4 more years till a new truck will be in my driveway! Good luck with her!

1 pointI believe you. I'm 6'7" so when I say compact and comfy it doesn't necessarily mean the same thing to others. I also run into a lot of ~6ft people that seem to think things are cramped when they aren't. My current ride I can wear a hat and get my legs under the steering wheel. That's luxury to me. Then I hear a bunch of 5'10" people whining they don't fit and I have to ask what they hell they are doing while driving a car.
-
1 pointIt's the magic of turbo charging. Most turbo setups, prior to ending all the fun, start dumping a TON of gas to use it to cool off the charge. There's lots of people who got REALLLY bad mileage out of the escape your wife liked because they would just keep smashing the pedal anytime their not fast car wasn't as fast as they thought it should be. And you start dumping gas just to keep it from eating itself. This is why I laugh to myself when I see people pushing turbos to save gas.. yeah right. Most drivers don't know how their car works and will not see good mileage from a turbo engine.
-
1 pointRespectfully I disagree. No ballot needed. The question above is invalid. It's been long established that the tubular meat product to which we refer and love, regardless of which brand it may be, is in fact "pork roll" An interesting question would be why someone would knowingly, and with disregard for the honor of their family name, choose to call pork roll - Taylor Ham.

1 pointI love Mr. Hungry... but who in the hell appointed him "race steward"?! Nope, not buying it.
-
1 pointMy neighbor bought a Ranger about two months ago. He loves it.... His wife loves it more. It's a great looking truck, and about time the Ranger design actually looked like a work truck instead of a toy.
-
1 pointYep, click bait. The luncheonette counter in the main building at Collingwood Flea Market has one of the best PEC in NJ. Good burgers and fries too.

1 pointIndeed it is amazing how a tiny bit off impacts it. Leaves me scratching my head a bit.

1 pointI wonder how many complaints under this new law have been processed so far? I doubt we will hear about more than a small handful of these cases.
-
1 pointOn propose? What did you do that for? You have my deepest sympathies. And for the record; it's Taylor ham, and fruit, any fruit on meatloaf and crackpot rib soup are abominations that no human being should be subject to.
-
1 pointShould be one fee to whoever agrees to pay. As a seller, I'd request full payment for item up front and they pay the fee. As a buyer, I'd request to do the background check prior to paying and ask that the seller pay the fee. As a dealer, I don't care who pays as long as it is up front.

1 pointYou might find this paragraph from my PA attorney interesting, referring to my post above: "I’ve argued that since ERPO’s started being discussed - and more importantly, the fact that we ALREADY have that exact form of treatment in place in every state. In PA, it is our Mental Health Procedures Act that allows a person to be brought in, evaluated, and kept within the hospital until he/she is cleared, where they cannot have possession of any firearms or any other things that constitute weapons. Thus, ERPOs are truly and solely designed to be gun confiscation orders." Emphasis mine.

1 pointI didn't say to clean the tube, you only quoted a portion of what I said..............
-
1 pointHow many rounds before a gas port, block or tube gets gacked with carbon buildup... 100, 1000, 5000? The upper has, if all accounts are true, less than 100 rounds through it. If there is buildup, spraying cleaner is more likely to clog the system, instead of blowing anything out. I've read more posts about people screwing up their rig trying to clean the gas system than I have about folks correcting it. Whatever the problem is with the upper, it is compounded by using a carbine lower with a rifle upper. A new gas tube and an inspection with gas port gauges is in order.
-
1 pointBoys, boys, boys! Let's not squabble in front of our newest family member. (But, for the record... tearing down the stretch and... yes!... crossing the finish line... why, it's Taylor Ham by a nose for the WIN! [and the crow roars!]) Welcome aboard, NChander! I'll ditto what another poster said - please do keep an eye on the events section - the shotgun shootouts in Clinton would not be far from you at all. There are also other organized events at various ranges. Any/all of them are a really nice way to meet other members. And yes, the state is virulently anti-2A, but that's why we need pro-2A folks to get involved - whether it be attending a rally, doing some pre-election phone canvassing, etc. You'll see those kinds of things announced on here also! Enjoy!
-
1 pointI've seen people clean the gas tube by spraying cleaner in it and using a pipe cleaner, but this tends to push the carbon sludge into the gas port. When trying to solve a problem, it's best to go through all possibilities because it's usually the one you miss in the first place....... jmo
-
1 pointThis too. I've read many a post about out of spec gas ports. It does not happen often, but often enough that it comes up every now and then. #1, eh, not so much. 15K+ PSI is a pretty good pipe cleaner.
-
1 pointIf the rifle is Short Stroking, it's not getting the proper amount of pressure to blow the BCG back far enough to allow the proper timing for ejection. Going from 5.56 to .223 would just reduce the amount of gas (pressure) and make it worse imo. The cal. of the barrel should no impeed the stroke
-
1 pointTwo things I would check: 1) carbon build up in the gas block? Plug the back end of the chamber, and Use an Air Gun to blow air into the barrel from the muzzle end. This should route the air through the gas block port and blow any debris back through the gas tube. 2) Remove gas block and see if the hole (port) in the barrel is properly drilled, and there are no burrs blocking the gas port. Also check for proper alignment between the hole in the barrel & the hole in the gas block.

1 pointThe republicans are all sitting on their hands with their mouths shut....they see the writing on the wall and are biding their time not making waves or standing up as they should until the next election so they can go back to business as usual ... sucking Democrat a$$ and being the rinos they are ...ensuring they will continue their career politician lifestyle
-
1 pointAnd have you tried the upper on a known working lower with a known working BCG? How is the barrel cut? How does the brass look? Possible the chamber was cut poorly and holding up the brass? Does the gun fully cycle when you manually rack the bolt and then extract it?

1 pointDefinatly not true. I was rear ended in my wrangler on my way home from shooting Clay's in Clinton a few years ago. I had 3 shotguns in the front passenger compartment in gun socks. The cop looked at them and asked what they were, I answered shotguns. Then he asked if they were unloaded, I said yeah I just shot up all my ammo at the clinton wma. That was the end of the conversation about guns. This was Raritan twp PD

1 pointStop picking on @voyager9 - face it, he has carefully cultivated a near-intoxicating level of mystery and intrigue. He's a man who is always invited, yet rarely seen with those who desire his company. He's totally working his "personal brand" - like a boss. Gotta respect that, Zeke!

1 pointTed is not well liked in Texas for his personality. He REALLY IS the smartest guy in the room, but he doesn’t make any bones about letting you know that. That being said, he’s going to make AM hang herself. She’s a complete idiot, this should be mildly entertaining.
-
1 pointNot technically, but it certainly could make a sticky situation go a lot easier.

1 pointSo far so good. I’m 359 rounds into this build. No malfunctioning. Smooth as butter. I shot m855, m193, and black hills 75 grain. It really liked the black hills Carbine length system, A5 buffer system, milspec bolt, pinned 10.5 1x7 government profile barrel, low profile gas block and a warcomp right hand timed. Thumbs ups. I’ll do another 900 this week.
