Split wood lights a lot faster too. Logs have the least surface area per volume of wood, and it's protected by bark. Split wood has more surface area, and the exposed wood is a lot easier to get burning.

So if the "enemy" is "probing" us with questions what's wrong with giving the correct and LEGAL answer. Would that not show the probes, trolls, enemy, or who ever elce that were all legal law abiding gun owners on here?

That is a completely wrong mentality and against the spirit of why the community exists. Yes, majority of the people visiting here are here to learn and very few actually have the will or nerves to register to ask a question... at the fear of being called an idiot @Smokin .50. As gun owners we say "there is no such thing as a stupid question" when it comes to firearms, yet some old timers can't help but be internet commandos themselves. Yes, I did check out the username and email and it is a legit person. @Sniper holding off answering the question is ridiculous especially as those answers are going to answer 5 or 10 others who have the same question but did not know to ask it, were afraid to ask it at the fear of sounding stupid, or will ask in 3 or 4 years finding it on Google. Or do you suggest they go post 20 things about why Trump is great and democrats are stupid before they are allowed to ask gun questions?

Hmmm....Split - not split / Taylor Ham - Pork Roll. A new test question for newbies?

Logs DO dry out....but as I said previously, the wood dries out quicker if split. Dry logs burn as well as dry split wood..

This is 100% true, and I'm pretty sure an NH NR permit does not give you access to additional states, so I don't know why this discussion continues.

I ordered a custom build from F1 Firearms. I have a decent social media following so they threw in a stand for it. Here is a picture I took of their website so you can see the stand.

Here is another indication for us to hope. Trump's Solicitor General asked for asked for leave from the Court to participate in oral argument was granted. The guy that was denied was an anti-2nd amendment lawyer with a specialty in linguistics. He wanted to take apart the language in Heller largely placed there by Scalia. The conservative justices on the Court wanted none of that! 18-280 NY STATE RIFLE & PISTOL, ET AL. V. NEW YORK, NY, ET AL. The motion of the Solicitor General for leave to participate in oral argument as amicus curiae and for divided argument is granted. The motion of Neal Goldfarb for leave to participate in oral argument as amicus curiae and for divided argument is denied.

NJ sellers are ridiculous in their asking prices. I've seen very very few that were realistic.

I believe I may have heard about a Tanfoglio 380 selling for at least $700 from one of those trunks a few years back.

Be very careful about using the kitchen sink defense. One of these times, your willy is going to end up in the running garbage disposal!

If you're buy out of the El Dorado trunk, you're paying too much. Shop at Juan, Jose and DeShawn's. They're in the 66 Impala tonight and the 70 Imperial tomorrow night. Right in front of the State House.

I feel I need to jump in because this is getting ridiculous. First, thank you to the people that actually helped and answered my question. To the people with their smart ass comments and the ones with their crazy theories, maybe just keep those to yourself. This is my first AR so I was not sure of the rules. Instead of buying a cheap one damn well knowing I’d want to start upgrading it right away(it’s my personality) I decided to go straight for the higher end build. They sent me a table top stand(fancy fake mag attached to a cut out base) that I can insert the rifle and display it. I do know jersey has crazy stupid laws so was just checking if I could actually display it. Again, thank you to the people that honestly replied and helped me out.

In most of free america, you are allowed to manufacturer your own gun, and it does not need to be registered in any way as long as it is for personal use. These 80% lowers/frames/etc. are essentially fully made, you just need to make the final cuts, typically holes for the pins to go through. As far as I know... (and I really should), it is no go in NJ anyway since Murphy passed something on it?

I was over at MM today. They are building their SBFs as we speak. They just got 11.75” barrels that will satisfy the 26” OAL requirement without any pinning of the muzzle device or pistol brace. They are also machining new longer hand guards that will maximize the available real estate to coincide with the extra barrel length - it adds a whole extra MLOK slot. New configuration looks very sharp with less barrel hanging out in front. Subjectively - it balances better and the extra length actually makes the gun more comfortable, especially when using the VFG and a white light. I also saw the parts for a few 9mm versions in the bins getting ready for assembly. Those are going to be amazeballs.

You spent so much money on a custom build that they gave you a stand-up table display for it? And with all of that money spent, you ask IF it's "legal" to display it? WOW, just WOW!
