It is a cheap enough gun to replace.... I would sell it to another NJ resident on your way out of the state and buy another one when you get to America.

Never held one. Probably won't. It was a rhetorical question. Folding gun is good. Folding stock is bad. Figure it out.

What NJ "license" are you referring to? This is precisely the trap our liberal friends want ... yes go ahead and legalize marijuana in the state ... oh wait now you can't own a firearm.

Thanks Jack! I appreciate all the info you've given me, you seem like a stand up guy. At this point it's done and they did it for free. They were really nice about it too.....they just thought I was making a mistake. Now just hope it doesn't void the warranty. Thanks a bunch to all of you who responded!!

He's obsessed about a lot more than just that.

That question "Are you" is present tense! If you gave up your medical card and stopped using, I see absolutely no reason to answer "Yes" to that question. You would in fact be GTG! It does NOT say "Are you now or have you ever been"!

@Zeke How about using the CNJFO spot as the NJGF meeting place?

No, they'd be angry. "I've got Rights!" would be their response

Actually - Hi-Point has a Lifetime Warranty - go figure.......

And that’s what you get for being a douche

Does hi point even have a warranty? @JT Custom Guns and @PK90 won’t lead you astray in their advice

You can tell your dealer that the Sub 2K is exempt from having the stock pinned because if you pin the stock you cannot take the gun apart to clean / repair it properly. The NJSP have issued a letter on that. there is no exception for either rifle on a threaded barrel. If he gets arguementiive - ask him to show you the statute that says it's ok.........

Other than eggs, poaching is bad

It's crazy how thick the cover can be up here. I cut down a few alders when I shot this snow shoe hare last year. I was surprised that any pellets made it to the hare. A 4" shorter barrel would definitely be an advantage.

The Hi-Point 995-TS falls under the same compliance rules as any other Semi-Auto rifle in New Jersey. You are allowed One (1) "Evil Feature" and since the 995-TS has a pistol grip - that is your EV. The new models are all coming with Threaded barrels, and as such the muzzle nut (or a Muzzle Brake if you so choose) must be pinned and/or welded to make it compliant. The dealer who told you about the magwell being inside the pistol grip is wrong - period! You should go back to the dealer you bought it from, and tell them you need it NJ compliant and make them do it; if he says no - find yourself another dealer - fast!

The muzzle device must be welded on. The mag outside the pistol grip only applies to semi pistols.
  21. 1 point
I could be wrong but I think if it has a pistol grip that is one feature, and the threaded barrel that is a second, so you would have to have a brake or a thread protector pinned and welded.

@Bully why not consider or recommend the RPR? Just curious from your standpoint.

Don't mind @Zeke - he's Sig-obsessed. Can't stand anything non-Sig Zeke, be polite to our new poster! Glad you've decided to post, and not just lurk. I'm going to move this over to the NJ Gun Laws section...and I'm sure lots of people will weigh in to answer your question!

Last Saturday and Sunday , I shot the Delaware Long Range Championship. I came in Fourth Place. A cop from North Jersey won in the F TR Division (.308 and .223 )

I carry. I just figure if I ever need to zap someone, I'm not going to be sticking around until the cops show up. They can sort it out with the dude smoking on the pavement.

With Dicks it wasn't a business decision, it was a political decision. The CEO had his business take a strong stand against my rights just before he announced his bid to run for president as a Democrat. He put the company's interests second and cost the company a lot of money for his own political gain. If I owned stock in Dicks, I'd be ticked.

Anyone who would cook ribs, or cornbread, in a crock pot deserves to be goaded.

Your question has already been answered by very knowledgeable folks, so I'll just add the short answer I give folks when asked this question: You can either BANG or BONG, but NOT both!

As soon as the cornbread comes out of the oven, it gets soaked with butter. Sometimes I'll dust it with confectioner's sugar. I've also added a pinch of nutmeg or allspice to the batter. Leftover cornbread goes well with sausage and eggs with a drizzle of pure maple syrup. Jiffy mix is good, it's what I use most often, but Bob's Red Mill is pretty good too.

There can be only one reason for this... that the media believe the rise of the Islamic community in the US will surpass the Jewish community and (eventually) the Christian Community. Or, at least, that's where they're trying to drive the momentum... and, perhaps, the $$$.

Look back. He didn't just make a statement about not carrying ARs. He ordered all the nation wide inventory of ARs that Dicks' had destroyed. He soap boxed. He showed direct anger toward us. Destroying them was him saying "in your face. You'll be back". He bank on us having short memories and apathy. Now he's counting on our value of shopping coupons.

I used to spend lots of money there. I even had a Dick's credit card! I realize that the loss of my business alone will have no effect on their bottom line but it makes me feel better to be true to the cause! Together, we do make a difference! They do feel that!

Thanks for the heads up, but even if they were 11 boxes for 1 cent they can shove it! I have an excellent memory and Dick's will NEVER get one penny from me ever again!
