Fixed it for you. Having been through this in England in 1997 I have first hand knowledge of how politicians from any party will say and do whatever they think it's best for themselves at any time.

Ok, a better answer then. If you read Kurt's article that you posted., he identifies several groups. I'll get to that in a second. I follow Kurt on Twitter and have read all his books. New one out Thursday. They are a hoot. Anyway, He's got 3 major groups. 40% that loudly and profoundly decry it, and quit or whatever. 40% That agree to their face but don't do it anyway. 20% bootlickers who will follow their master's orders. Kurt is missing a much larger contingent though. People, who, through the ordinary course of events, know how things work and subsequently know how to break things. I'm talking in generalities here. The electrical worker who knows which switch to trip at a sub station or even which contact to file to make something work flaky. The telco worker who knows what wire to cut. The programmer who knows what script to break. The sewage plant worker who knows how to close a valve halfway so the system clogs. Things that make life tolerable when they work, become intolerable when they don't. People who can sabotage ordinary life and make it miserable for the people who enact these asshole policies. This is the group I belong to. Once you truly grok how society works, it becomes trivial to make it not work.

In the majority of these situations that I've seen, the dog normally doesn't release until the perp is totally restrained. In this case, the dude was still resisting, so the dog stays clamped on, until the 3rd LEO finally gets the guy cuffed. I like the way the cop calmly walks back to his car, pops open the back door, and releases the fur missile.

@Pizza Bob based on the definitions in NJ Law IMO a bb or pellet gun would be held to the same standard as a regular firearm. Whether or not a prosecutor wants to pursue such a thing is another story.

The left really wants to start something. Good luck with that. It's a slippery slope. Once there is casual contempt for law, other laws become less likely to be followed. They seem to think we aren't voluntarily governed. We choose to live under these laws, many of which are arbitrary. Once their side of the deal is broken, don't expect us to hold to our side of it. This doesn't mean picking up a gun and harming someone, god forbid. It means the system gets broken, the same system upon which these fools are delicately perched.

They are all PIGS - that need a short piece of rope and a slightly longer drop, than the rope length. They have all forgotten their place, their oaths of office and the idea of serving and not taking and being 'privileged'. They serve at our pleasure, they forget that. as @Malsua has said - it is truly voluntary governance They also forget their is not enough law enforcement personnel in the nation - should a day ever come where there is 'mass disobedience' of unjust laws that are against the USCON. https://townhall.com/columnists/kurtschlichter/2019/09/19/violate-your-oath-and-turn-on-american-citizens-at-your-legal-peril-gun-grabbers-n2553286

Exactly. I have coworker in NJ that was totally anti, but seems to be coming around. He visits friends in Arizona, I asked him did he ever feel unsafe walking around with all the people carrying concealed around him. Said that felt no different than walking around NJ. He didn't realize that they could be all carrying without his knowledge. Then he asked why NJ does not allow, Told him because he and the other idiots always do the same stupid thing Vote Democratic..

In my opinion... I wonder when some on here realize that the far right has little power and in particular because they have no media coverage (and also because they are morons). The radical Left and its media on the other hand... though It is a fringe like the far Right is, it is much more dangerous because it is relentless and deceptive and has hijacked the discourse and the media largely through bullying and lies. Centrist Constitutionalists are lumped in with the loony far right to villainize them and silence them Undemocratically by the Radical Left as it incites a mob-like group think. These centrists with traditional American values are NOT radicals like the far right and the statists and those governing mainstream radical "far" leftists in power. Biden was just trying to change the subject and focus on something besides the Ukraine for obvious reasons. The whole gun control tyranny of the last year was largely to do that as well and to take eyes off of those lurking in the shadows. The Left knew it as overplaying its hand and was taking a chance, much like it did when it "allowed" media coverage for Trump over the other conservatively portrayed Republican candidates. He was meant to be left with Hilary because they underestimated that he had more negatives. Trump was never suppose to have won but the American people don't want what the Left envisions. The false Russian narrative was suppose to have been an insurance policy AND the ludicrous Impeachment debacle was suppose to have worked as well when that didn't work. It wasn't even so much as necessary to actually impeach the President unjustly, but to keep pounding the media with false and trumped-up negatives. The statists and Washington incumbants have largely exposed and overplayed their hand in a frenzied and desparate effort. Nevertheless, Biden with his foolish comments illustrates that there will never be enough for the Left... Nerf guns will be next! There cannot be anymore compromise with the radical (mainstream) Left. They need to be made as irrelevant and insignificant as the Far Right. In my opinion, the media which attempts to divide and discourage and condition, it needs to be remade, and our children need to be healed from the progressive pablum.

We all know that, as far as purchasing, BB & pellet guns are treated the same as real firearms. Does the same apply to the use of same? Or is that up to individual municipalities? I'm speaking of an instance where someone is shoooting a BB gun in their backyard, in close proximity to other residences. Not exactly handling the gun safely either, but let's discount that and just concentrate on the core question. What say you? Adios, Pizza Bob

It's a standard combination safe that is cube-shaped, about 14x14x14. I bought it at walmart many years ago. I'm not a fan of walmart anymore, but a similar safe could probably be found in an office supply store or similar megastore. I originally had it in a large closet out of site. Granted, people look for things in certain places, and that is where the safe "hobby" can start to get expensive. Similar safes have holes so you can attach them to the floor of wall. I also load mine up with ammo and other heavy stuff to make it difficult to move. It's not a perfect science, but it's a start.

I finally splurged on a MantisX. I'll start by saying I already knew I have an issue pushing in anticipation of the shot. I did a few dry fire sessions over a few weeks with overall scores in the 80s-90s. Did my first live fire session today; with a .22 and 9mm; about 300 rounds total. My MantisX scores were pretty bad; around 70-80 with the .22 and 50-60 with the 9mm. I'm somewhat confused because the scores didn't seem to jive with hits on target. For the most part I had fairly consistent groups of 6-8" at 15 and 20 yards. At times a "perfect shot" (hit exactly where I was aiming) would score sub 30. Other times I'd completely miss the target yet the score would be in the 80s or 90s. How does that happen?!? I know a few people here have the MantisX, anyone have a similar experience? I intend to rig up a bench rest to use my next time out to see if that helps any. If I am pushing down as much as it claims, the rest should greatly reduce it. I did learn that overall my sight picture and aiming is good. At one point I suddenly started consistently hitting way right. I then noticed the lock screw for the rear sight loosened and the sight shifted. I was back on target after I re-centered it.

Technically the BB / Air rifle is a "Firearm" in the eyes of the state. That being said, each town has it's own law regarding 'Discharge of a Firearm within City limits" or the like. Could you get caught? You could. Would you get caught? Who Knows? The chances lay between you, your neighbors and your luck.............. jmo

Same thing as when CT demanded registration, or when NY enacted their SAFE law, or when New Zealand & Australia enacted their laws...mass non-compliance. Its a stand-off --- gun owners are ignoring their demands, and govt isn't going to go house-to-house.

Bottom line, it is likely Trump is done, one way or another. Those who believe the Supreme Court is going to save us will probably be dead by the time that happens. If the Senate goes Dem it is game over.

yeah no....I hear you but believe me, I'm not like a lot of these cats who run at the mouth. I practice what I preach and you'll be hard pressed to find me supporting companies that are anti 2a or things I believe when humanly possible. I'm not 100% as you astutely point out with the money trail but I'll bet 1k right now I'm far less than anyone on this board:) There are some great websites that one can go to and find companies are American oriented, pro 2a, etc etc.... This is a great topic actually and we should start a thread on it not to derail this one. that said, grey ghost has a sick sale right now on stuff but out of the minimalist plate carriers. I need a few more of those for the family:)

you couldn't more wrong on both counts. Dollars matter and these companies feel it. Even Tractor Supply is backtracking now. My purchases, when humanly possible, do not support anti 2a companies etc.. I don't even buy Chinese when I can avoid it. I'm very conscious of where my money is spent in all endeavors.

You don't need a button top. Some flashlights are not sized to accept them. Flat tops will work. However, make sure it has protection circuitry if you don't know that the light does. If that is what you meant, a button top doesn't mean a protected cell, and a flat top doesn't mean an unprotected cell. As for the OP, if it's a rechargeable cell, you will only be replacing it with a rechargeable cell, and shipped, lithium ion batteries will only be about 75% charged. The supply chain won't let you treat them like primaries. Honestly, I'd post a pic. 2800mah + aa on steroids sounds like an 18650, but there are lots of Li-ion cell formats.

I find it amazing that with concealed carry so prevalent around the country, when you go to those places, not only do legal CCW holders not run around shooting each other, but one never even sees a gun. Yet, here in PRNJ, our overlords (legislators) fear that if they allow us to defend ourselves all hell will break loose.

What?...I suck too... Although I dry fire every night at a spot on the wall specifically focusing on maintaining a clean sight picture while executing a smooth trigger pull. I use the itarget pro system at 7 and 10 yards for other practice at home (about forty "rounds" in a session) to get a feel for where the shots are hitting "down range". Live fire is a different animal altogether. While at the range try to focus on the same techniques you are using for dry firing, concentrate on site picture and breaking the shot while maintaining site alignment and don't worry about recoil. I've also learned over time that most issues (at least mine) with pistol shooting stem from your grip on the gun....BUT... there are far better and professional shooters here that can help you....though whenever you're ready to have some fun....we can go to the range and shoot Zeke's guns to show him how to use them. #sigmuscleisbetterforbighungry. #beersandwingsafter. #HK>Sig.

... oh and as far as I can see, no one from the 'right" is endorsing anything from the "far right", but sadly we can't say the same for the "left".

Siderman, I completely agree, except in my humble opinion it is not the RIGHT, but the mainstream Americans in general, some who have been hoodwinked, that are now finally saying NO... the centrist, law-abiding Americans, that are trying to stop the "fundamental change" of a Democratic Republic into something else. Simply put it is the Statist, Progressive, "Socialist" Leftists and RINOs and their agenda against the American People. They are not attacking Trump, they are attacking us and our Constitution (which was established and put in place to limit their power and their generated mob rule). Unless we take back the discourse and the media (and especially pertaining to our children's education) and give a little tap on the shoulders of those that have been conditioned, the globalists and their Leftist minions and their dishonest media will all continue to destroy our culture and erode our freedoms. We are not the Right, we are the reasonable, law-abiding American citizens. With all of Trump's personal faults he is able to effectively communicate this message over and over with a little tap here and a little tap there as more Americans begin to pay attention and see the treachery of the Statist-Controlled Media. Biden and the others cannot run on their tyrannical agenda. The Americans would never willingly accept it now, but that inevitable docile-ness and compliance are being cultivated as the Left runs on creating havoc, fear, scapegoats, and most importantly by dividing the American people.
  40. 1 point
Exactly. In short what we are seeing is the lefts advocation of absurd " something's" and the rights reaction to those "something's". The right is pushing back, they are not the ones initiating the trouble. Left- we want to take your guns. Right- no you can't have them........Left- we want open borders. Right- no, that's not safe and an economic catastrophe in the waiting.......Left- we want to give you free free free. Right- no, you will bankrupt the country so.......It's one stupid agenda after another. The right is trying to hold the line but the left is blazing a path that will ruin this country.

@fishnut Miss ya guy! Yep, this example is nuthin' more than a cheaply-made breech-action "modern 209 knock-off" of a Howdah Pistol by Pedersoli in Italy. To everyone on the thread: Italian exports are proofed at EXTRA high pressure, so this beautiful Howdah can load twice what that knock-off can. And THAT can be a real wrist-twister! Howdah's were shot from Elephant Baskets (the Howdah!) to repel man-eaters in Africa & India, they didn't have 1/2 oz pussy loads, lol This 20 ga. double-barrel smoothie in the photo (no rifling for the non black powder crowd) uses standard #11 caps and the same nipples as my 10 ga. SxS scattergun (1/4 x 28 thread). 70 grains of FFFg pistol powder & 3/4 oz - 1.0 oz load of buck, ball or combination thereof (Referred to as "Buck & Ball" loading since the Rev War) will tame any man-eater or miscreant with TWO OR FOUR LEGS! Don't forget yer Pith Helmet
