I made a snowman... 8:00 am: I made a snowman. 8:10 am: A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snowwoman. 8:15 am: So, I made a snowwoman. 8:17 am: My feminist neighbor complained about the snowwoman's voluptuous chest, saying it objectified snowwomen everywhere. 8:20 am: The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snow men instead. 8:22 am: My transgender friend passed by and asked why I didn't just make one snowperson with detachable parts. 8:25 am: The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with. 8:28 am: I am being called a racist because the snow couple is white. 8:31 am: The Muslim gent across the road demanded the snow woman wear a burqa. 8:40 am: The police arrive, saying someone has been offended. 8:42 am: The feminist neighbor complained again that the broomstick of the snowwoman needs to be removed, because it depicted women in a domestic role. 8:43 am: The council equality officer arrived and threatened me with eviction. 8:45 am: My local TV news crew from the ABC showed up, asking me if I know the difference between snowmen and snowwomen. I replied, "Snowballs." Now I’m called a sexist. 9:00 am: I'm on the morning news, being described as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe, and sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather. 9:10 am: I am asked if I have any accomplices. My children are taken by social services. 9:29 am: Far left protesters offended by everything are marching down the street demanding I be charged by the Anti-Everything Commissioner and then beheaded. So, how's your morning been?

The same people who are trying to label gun violence as a health epidemic? And get their hand in regulations to bypass legislative measures? Those doctors?

So they passed a law, that says they cant change the law, but what if they change that law that allows them to change the law? I don't seem to recall they changed the state constitution. It blows my Fukkin mind that this would even be considered an argument with how quickly and easily laws can be changed with a majority. Are they like totally like, like pinky like swearing to SCOTUS they gonna be good little libbies? There is also the point that even in the absurd chance NY really cant change the law(which is pure BS on its face), any other state could. In fact, the law in NJ is very similar. You can only bring a handgun legally to an FFL or range. Transport out of state is illegal since its NOT an exception. IMO, SCOTUS should rule that these laws are illegal, that the state cannot provide for vague exemption, but rather outline explicitly what is NOT permitted. at the VERY least. my hope is obviously for MUCH more.

It's not, and I did before asking. I asked because..... I couldn't find a statement you were referring to.. no one suggested drinking water from roof run off. Rain water IS potable... Tap water is potable too, I wouldn't suggest drinking out of the toilet tho.

Yes, I read the article. It mentions, "Some cisterns, which are common in certain areas, can provide safe drinking water". You bolded "properly collected and stored". That's what I said. Reading comprehension? So what's your issue?

Says the man who usually places so much trust in the government. The link to the CDC uses a lot of "may" and "might". I agree with may and might. However, at least hundreds of millions of people have been collecting and living off properly collected and stored rainwater for thousands of years.

What blew my mind was when Sotomayor said why don't they just get a carry permit if they want to carry a gun somewhere? Even if you are anti-gun didn't one of her clerks tell her that's the whole point of the lawsuit!

Well, she watches Youtube and movies so it isn't like the TV isn't used at all. I miss you

90% chance that is the fast color changes overloading the bandwidth available on the TV channel, and/or the compression method of transmitting the live signal (believe that is a cause of some of the green you see), and/or the compression of the signal from the cable provider. If you own a blu-ray of a movie and see the same movie on cable TV, you'll be amazed how much of a difference there really can be (and that is on something created under near-perfect conditions, almost the polar opposite of LivePD). You will likely see compression effects (blockiness) most in highly detailed areas, especially with motion, like looking at lots of leaves/grass or at slightly choppy water. The broadcast has a set, finite amount of bandwidth while the bluray tends to have a much higher bitrate. You might also see less color banding in large expanses of sky on the bluray. So really, don't think it is likely to be your TV as much as the content being displayed. If you have a computer monitor with an hdmi input that you can try, maybe see if it acts exactly the same. I expect it will. Unless you are trying to convince the wife you need a new TV, in which case, you absolutely need a new TV. And a new gun to go with it.

Nice! Those Alpha tubes are great for free floating the handguard without having to cut the muzzle device and removing the gas block. Arisaka: https://arisakadefense.com/products/inline-scout-mount-troy-vtac-alpha and Arson Machine Company: https://arsonmachine.com/product/troy-light-mount/ make great light mounts specifically for The Alpha tubes if you are looking. Also the Troy Squid grips are worth the minimal investment. That tube can eat your hands up.

That's two of the numbers in a new ATF report. There's a lot of other interesting data in there as well. Coupled with the recent record in Black Friday background checks, it doesn't seem like Americans' 'love affair'' with guns is ending anytime soon.

Got to eat the yellow snow though. The white snow just has no taste.

While the CDC is a bit misleading on the issue, rainwater itself is fine to drink even with atmospheric impurities. I would avoid it in areas that have acid rain tho.. I would never drink rain water for the simple purpose that you have little control over what ends up in there due to the water collection system itself. This is what the CDC is referring to. Their citations include rain water from a household roof system... which i would think doesn't need further explanation. The contamination is not in the water, but mixes with it during collection. You could always treat and filter the water though.

Everything will remain in their possession until it's determined administratively (ie Red tape) whether you will get it back or not. Them being in your possession would be ideal, of course, but it's a good sign that they are still at local PD. I would go to local PD and talk to Chief and ask for help. Not saying or asking anything unnecessary. Right to the point. My shit was taken, I cooperated, I went to court and the reason you took my shit no longer exists. Here is the proof, exactly how do I go about getting my shit back. Please don't tell me you are not involved and I have to talk to someone else. You have my shit, what do I need to do to get it back. I'm asking you to please help me understand this process. Not that I've had a lot of involvement with police, but in all my years I only came across one that was a dick. If working from the top down isn't working, try a different approach, starting from the bottom where your personal property is physically located, up to the pen that needs to sign a paper authorizing the return. It's all part of the process. If you meet with the chief, one of two things is going to happen. The chief will either be helpful or unhelpful. If the latter happens, at least you know what you are dealing with.

Yup rainwater is definitely potable. I lived in an apartment on the top of a victorian home in pittstown and had a rainwater collection cistern. Also where I stayed in the bush in Belize we had rainwater cistern, my wife and I drank it and did not get sick

Rain water is actually quite good, IF your collection and storage apparatus is clean and sanitized (I know, rarely the case), and if you don't collect until 30 minutes or so into a given rainstorm, which gives time for most of the particulates and microbes in the local atmosphere to be washed out.

I got power back yesterday, but there are still a bunch of folks without it. My Generac Standby ran almost exactly 48 hours. It used about 8 ounces of oil over that period. I run synthetic and I haven't done an oil change on it for at least 3 years. The recommended interval is 200 hours, but even with the exercises and now this outage, it is not near 200 hours. I ordered a tune up kit and will do that whenever it arrives. I posted a quick video of my trip down Canistear on Tuesday morning. It looks like February. Stupid clock is off by an hour. The effective speed is 210mph

In my opinion... I wonder when some on here realize that the far right has little power and in particular because they have no media coverage (and also because they are morons). The radical Left and its media on the other hand... though It is a fringe like the far Right is, it is much more dangerous because it is relentless and deceptive and has hijacked the discourse and the media largely through bullying and lies. Centrist Constitutionalists are lumped in with the loony far right to villainize them and silence them Undemocratically by the Radical Left as it incites a mob-like group think. These centrists with traditional American values are NOT radicals like the far right and the statists and those governing mainstream radical "far" leftists in power. Biden was just trying to change the subject and focus on something besides the Ukraine for obvious reasons. The whole gun control tyranny of the last year was largely to do that as well and to take eyes off of those lurking in the shadows. The Left knew it as overplaying its hand and was taking a chance, much like it did when it "allowed" media coverage for Trump over the other conservatively portrayed Republican candidates. He was meant to be left with Hilary because they underestimated that he had more negatives. Trump was never suppose to have won but the American people don't want what the Left envisions. The false Russian narrative was suppose to have been an insurance policy AND the ludicrous Impeachment debacle was suppose to have worked as well when that didn't work. It wasn't even so much as necessary to actually impeach the President unjustly, but to keep pounding the media with false and trumped-up negatives. The statists and Washington incumbants have largely exposed and overplayed their hand in a frenzied and desparate effort. Nevertheless, Biden with his foolish comments illustrates that there will never be enough for the Left... Nerf guns will be next! There cannot be anymore compromise with the radical (mainstream) Left. They need to be made as irrelevant and insignificant as the Far Right. In my opinion, the media which attempts to divide and discourage and condition, it needs to be remade, and our children need to be healed from the progressive pablum.
