1 pointMy agency considered P90s for a time in 2004/2005 and I did a bunch of research into agencies that carried them. No one was happy with the ammo performance. Almost every agency that I know of that had 5.7 duty guys have all switched back to 9/40/45 or .223/5.56 (platform depending). The switch almost always came shortly after shootings where the 5.7 performed terribly. Doc Roberts is a smart man, and when he talks about ballistics, you’d do well to listen. Buford Boone is another guy that knows his business when it comes to ballistics. They both agree - 5.7 is not a recommended round for duty or self defense use.
-
1 pointIf it was such a great round, everyone would be using it. The fact that so many people that have the ability to pick whatever round/platform they want In order to hunt bad guys still don’t choose the 5.7 round, speaks volumes. The fact remains - real world uses against determined bad guys show abysmal terminal effects.

1 pointYeah, I know with patience I can eventually get a lane. Last time I made it up there late I had to wait an hour. Unfortunately with a hour drive on both ends any wait is a pita since my wife ends up with all the kids for 4-5 hours.

1 pointIf you just Google Hi Standard magazines you'll get plenty of hits. IIRC, and I'm working solely off memory here, there are two basic types of Hi Standard mags. The ones for the military grip angle, like are used on the Victor and then the ones for guns that preceded the Victor, which had a steeper angle. I have a Hi Standard Model 102 a Supermatic Citation... I believe that your Model B would take the more steeply angled mags like my 102. Adios, Pizza Bob

1 pointHis campaign slogan should be " I'm Michael Bloomberg, and I know what's best for you"
-
1 pointThat too was unreliable. But I remember the gun choking a few times.
-
1 pointIf they are willing to sell it, I'd still buy it.. lol I would just have with it in the back yard. I would keep every piece of documentation. Worse case scenario its confiscated.

1 pointI don't think he necessarily disagrees with your enthusiasm, I think he's pointing out that trying to get random people to send random "2A Resolutions" from an unknown "2A Sanctuary" group to county governing bodies is about as effective as shouting out the window. I personally think that ANY effort like this is a good one. It's polite, orderly, and at a minimum brings attention to the fact that there are people in NJ who are looking for change. Also, for what it's worth I'd recommend re-shooting the video at the website. Have the person shave the awful neckbeard and DON'T shoot the video in a friggin car. It would look 1000 times more polished/professional if you simply put the guy in a button-down shirt sitting at a desk or table. Good luck.

1 pointWhen we first investigated the legality of the VR80 & Citadel RS-S1(AK Semi) , photos and descriptions were sent to the NJSP for clarification and they responded that both are legal in NJ. We also contacted the ATF for their interpitation of Pistol Grip vs Thumbhole and they acknowledged that both weapons are not considered to have a Pistol grip
-
1 pointThe VR80 is recommended to use Target Loads for the first 50-75 rounds to break her in. Also - you need to verify which Valve is on the barrel, if it has the Heavy load valve it may not cycle on anything other than 3" / Mag. loads. The Light valve is for Target & Standard High Brass - very few semi's will run on low brass.........
-
1 pointWe have sold over 50 VR-80's to date. The NJSP have issued a ruling in writing (via e-mail) that the state does recognise a Thumb hole Stock is not a Pistol grip and that the VR80 is legal in NJ.........

1 pointThis should surprise no one. Bloomberg is, and always has been, stereotypical.
-
1 pointThere is a 2A movement in NJ. Check it out at nj2asanctuary.com. Each county has a Facebook page also. Search the county name followed by 2A Sanctuary.

1 pointFunny tidbit about Bloomberg. Years ago, I used to work for his competition in the newswire business. His main campus is not far from the Princeton area. Many college grads were thrilled to get hired there as it was a good paying job. They would enthuse about getting free lunch provided to them each day, not realizing until later that this was intended to keep them yoked to their desks all day and not waste time going out for lunch. lol! The whip cracked early and often.

1 pointor don't even bother wasting your time calling, just go online and open an account to see the online calculator. the SSA reps are going to supply the same numbers as to what's posted on the account page. You could have an account regardless if you are ready to collect or not https://www.ssa.gov/onlineservices/

1 pointEntering the race also allows him to use “campaign finances” and assistance to fund a anti-gun media blitz. No more trying to gloss it over by finding “grass roots” organizations and PAC’s.
-
1 pointWhat really burns me about Bloomberg is he is such a $(%&^)#$ hypocrite on guns. Here's an example of the security detail he traveled with when he was mayor: He apparently loves being in Berumuda at his house there - it was an issue when he was mayor, how much time he actually spent in NYC vs. Bermuda. He apparently obtained special permission for his security detail to be armed in Bermuda when most police there do not have firearms: https://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/26/nyregion/26bermuda.html
