Declaratory Judgment Sought in NJ’s Carry Permit Scheme, Violates Full Faith & Credit EATONTOWN, NJ – -(AmmoLand.com)- The U.S. Constitution’s Full Faith and Credit Clause (Article IV, Section 1) requires that states respect the “public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state.” Yet, New Jersey refuses to recognize any other state's licenses to carry a handgun. Charles McDowell of Georgia and Thomas Muller of Delaware possess judicial court Orders granting them licenses to carry weapons. Their Orders were issued by judges in judicial proceedings by state courts, just as New Jersey's licenses to carry are also issued by judges. Based on the above, the law firms of Evan F. Nappen Attorney at Law, P.C. and Giaramita Law Offices, P.C. have brought a Civil Rights Action in the United State District Court, New Jersey, on behalf of McDowell and Muller against NJ Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and every NJ County Prosecutor. Plaintiffs seek a declaratory judgment that McDowell’s and Muller’s judicial Orders granting license to carry weapons be honored in New Jersey pursuant to Full Faith and Credit. https://www.ammoland.com/2020/01/declaratory-judgment-sought-in-njs-carry-permit-scheme-violates-full-faith-credit

Doubt it. It's not a slam dunk case. Yes.. every state respects other states' licenses to drive. However, they don't do the same for a license to practice law, medicine, be a barber, etc. It's a mixed bag. This is not a clear slam dunk.

I just got my gun permit. Where is a good place for me to go to learn about gun safety as well as how to handle a gun better. I am located in Jackson. Thank you

Most free state's issue CCP's through a regulatory state agency. They do not require the applicant to appear before a Superior Court judge with their petition as in NJ. By using out of state permitee's that have appeared before similar court hearings you take away one major argument from the state.

I have been summoned, so I am here, lol! @DirtyDigz You're not the ONLY one who doesn't know where we're meeting. I'm their leader & even I don't know YET. I'm bringing the banners, so look for them. Theresa Inacker, our Communications Director, will be coming with me. @AlexTheSane will be driving us there from his house (he's a Jersey transplant). You & several others mentioned interest. If I were to tell you ahead of time where to be and the Cops set-up a mobile command post on that spot, I've wasted my breath, so let's see what the land lays like the day of shall we? I can tell you where we won't be! That's next to anyone wearing "Battle Rattle". Between the state of "EMERGENCY" BS & metal detectors & only one way into the grounds thru said detector(?), it promises to be an interesting day. I'm there to make contacts & show support, not dress-up for the "Boogaloo" which I hope never happens & then be forced to stay completely off Capitol grounds along an enforced (possibly fenced-in_ perimeter. PM me so we can exchange ph numbers. I got an iPhone now, so I can actually text Rosey

Here's mine, sporting the spiffy wood grips that were a Christmas present from my wife a couple of years ago. I replaced the main spring with a lighter one and added a dot of fluorescent yellow paint to the front sight. It's one of my favorite pistols.

Do you know if there is a spot where everyone is meeting? I will be parking at the "Stadium", about two blocks away, and catching the shuttle over to the rally.

One of the purposes of the trigger safety as you find on Glocks - or some derivative thereof found on other striker fired pistols - is to act as a kind of drop safety. It prevents the mass of the trigger from discharging the firearm via inertia if you drop your pistol. If Sig had one on the 320 from the start, a whole lot of bad press may have been avoided.

Beautiful guns but they weren't made in the Czech Republic where the best 9mm is made, Ray. I would not have sold my 92FS if it had been one of the thinner grip models, though.

Thanks for the link. I just made a donation of one seat($35). Btw, this topic is getting a lot of coverage by Mark Walters on his Armed American Radio podcast. His Dec 12th show was mostly devoted to it.
