I just read the article in last May's American Rifleman. Went online to read this story mentioned in the article. Thought it was worth reading and remembering the sacrifices of so many. Sorry if this was previously posted. https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2019/4/16/known-but-to-god-the-unknown-soldier-and-the-uss-olympia/

When I read the original post in this thread, I shook my head sadly and thought: well, at least it started out so awful it can't get any worse. Apparently, I was wrong. So very wrong.

I'ts that one day of the year you have to buy her flowers/candy/fancy dinner to get what you can get any other night just by getting her drunk. She's standing right behind you as you type this, ain't she? Blink once for yes. Twice for send help.

It's never too early to warn newcomers about Zeke's meatloaf. And his boiled ribs.

There are actually two Trump/Pence sponsored race cars running this weekend. One tonight in the truck race, and one tomorrow in the Xfinity race. Check out these pictures: DAYTONA BEACH — Even before President Donald Trump arrives at the Daytona 500 on Sunday, race fans will see his name circling the track Friday night and Saturday. During Friday night’s NextEra Energy 250, Port Orange driver Tim Viens will be behind the wheel of a white, No. 3 Chevy Silverado with a Trump 2020 logo. Then veteran NASCAR driver Joe Nemechek will run the 47 car with the same pro-Trump message in the Xfinity Series race Saturday. Nemechek drives for Mike Harmon Racing. “I support the president. I support him and I’m gonna continue to support him,” Viens said, adding that the other benefit to landing the sponsorship is getting an opportunity to drive.

I don't need Hallmark to tell me what day I should appreciate my wife, I adore her EVERY day. She gets flowers every other week - I refuse to buy them on Feb 14th because the price doubles for absolutely no reason other than Hallmark says so. Same with restaurants...

What's wrong with heart-shaped meatloaf? I think that's totes adorbs. And he clearly appreciates her. Even better. Well done! You guys are so anti-Valentine's Day. It's actually sad. Open your hearts... embrace the romance, people!!

I'm cooking two pork loins on the smoker, and serving with corn bread baked in great--grandma's cast iron skillet.

My mother made the world's best meat loaf anyway.... Also, Taylor Ham is the correct term, good on you!

Welcome, Tom! A little advice - don't eat Zeke's meatloaf, do eat (the properly named) Taylor Ham - and have fun on here!

On the handle of the black plastic case that all Glocks come in, there is a white label, right between the two gray plastic clips that hold the box closed. That label has the bar code, it lists the model and caliber of the firearm, and it lists how many magazines (and of what capacity) are included in the case. If what he received does not match what the Glock label said comes in the case, I'd say he has recourse, and the vendor had better come up with the missing GLOCK OEM mags. And if there is a problem, I'd think Glock would want to hear about it. Glock Customer Service

Although there's not many of them, some people will flinch with a 22. The solution is one has to be mentally convinced recoil is going to happen and just let it happen. A consistent 3" low with a group could also be: Sight Alignment. Dots on the sights? Many mistakes align them. Trigger Control. Mashing the trigger will create a shooting low condition. @High Exposure brought out a very valid point. Using a DA revolver with a smooth pull. Smooth is more important than light. @Zeke if this doesn't work out let me know. I'll show up for your next session with the tools.

There is a summer biathlon series mostly based in PA that used to have a single race at Cherry Ridge in NJ. I competed in it about 6 years ago (and took first place in my age class), and I believe that was the last event they ever held in NJ. Edit - I think this is it: https://pabiathlon.com/events/ @dino71 - if you find something that is reasonably close to NJ please let me know.

USPSA and 3 gun is hardly standing like a bump on a log while shooting. The last thing I want to do is introduce less shooting and more not shooting and more work into a day of competition. I've got a gym membership for my cardio. Heck just actually help reset stages and you will get your 5k in for the day real easy. RO a lot and you'll get your 10k in too.

I embrace romance, but I absolutely refuse to use the expression 'totes adorbs' in any context whatsoever. Except in the preceding sentence. But never again.

Rest easy Emma. After all it was on national network TV originally, and again the Saturday before last Christmas. One of the few videos I burst out laughing for. And the whole stylistic way they parodied the boy band video was a lot of the reason why.
