^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This - @Spawne32There is a time for war gaming the what if's - and there are always what if's - and you know what - I hope to practice what I preach more, but, " worry is interest on debt you may never owe " Considering all that has been presented to us, I think we are all handling this quite well. There are always the 'one off's' - Truth be told I have not been sleeping so well lately, but I took some advice from my daughter, write down what is concerning me, compartmentalize it and adjust what you can control to mitigate that concern. I'll help you and me: What is buggin you? Make a list ! Food = Check: we have no less than 12 weeks of food for 5 adults and we do not have to go out if we have to in the coming month. So far all places by us are overstocked., yes overstocked it seems. TP = Check: Yes, we have more than enough and we didn't panic hoard, just always buy sales Disinfectants = Check: We prepared accordingly Defense = Big Check: This is not going to be the walking dead and is not a lights out event - aren't we always ready for self D at home anyways? Work/Money = Check: I am in construction engineering low voltage technology - My office is in Manhattan, haven't been there in over 20days. Working remote, as most of my type are with architects and developers etc. But, jobs are going on hold, not dead, hold. We took a across the board pay cut company wide, it hurts but we can survive. Will we be furloughed? Who knows? But luckily we live well within our means, we have savings and in speaking with my accountant if I need to take a chunk to float till we get back online, we can do that. Health Physical = Check ! We are exercising as we always do, we are eating healthy, we are distancing, we are soaking up Vitamin D when we can (c'mon sunshine) . Hope to get a LOT of yard work done this weekend Global/regional/local Situation: Guess what, you cant fix it, you cant control it, some things are 100% out of your hands, but you can help it. Do what you know to be right, do that social distance thing. Do not feed into negativity, do not let this enemy win. Care for yourself, family, neighbors. Do wellness check calls, lift someones spirits up. if you cannot be your own rock, try to be their rock ! Try to be the sound of comfort, assurance, and let them know you are their for them to listen to them, assuage their fears. Be compassionate. There are many people way smarter than any of us working this problem, trust in them. There are many people that are very courageous that are not shirking their duties, believe in them. There are many people that are venturing out everyday, to keep us going, honor them. Support them, pray for them - and when this is all done - and it will be done. We need not forget how hard it was to be apart and how we should be better to our fellow human. Mental Health = HUGE CHECK FOR ME ! I also refused to look at my phone after dinner last night, I stopped my consumption of fear and watched Disney shorts with my wife and 23yr old daughter ! AWESOME ! I also got in bed early though, and read, finally read for pleasure - that Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys, what a bunch of brawlers ! Went to sleep about 930 and no weird dreams, no anxiousness, no concern - nothing that disturbed precious sleep till 6am. You go this - stop playing mental trapeze with emotions and worries, be in the moment, and be grateful that you opened your eyes this AM - not because of the virus, but because life *is* that precious that many many just by the fact of living, lose that opportunity each day. Hope this helps - it helped me.

Governor Dumb Ass just stated he's talking to NJ congressional members to try and repeal the SALT Tax cap. He could just suspend NJ property tax by executive order. I'm sure it will be easier to convince 435 congress critters 100 senate members and the president to roll that back. The guy is an idiot.

Don't be a fearmonger. Yes, there will be blows to the economy. This is mitigated somewhat by the fact that we went into this with a very good economy. Mass looting? You have to realize that most looters are not armed. When one gets shot the rest disperse. This is America. Don't compare it to Russia, China, or Hungary. Many unanswered questions but things can be dealt with.

I came across this data study from Ammo.com this morning. They published consumption figures by state up through March 27. Texas gets the first place award. BTW, in 9mm still only Gold Dot and Federal HST in stock at TargetSportsUSA, and at the usual prices.

I didn't know where to put this so I placed it here - I was hoping to start a thread of support for those that may be challenged in these times, and whether you may admit it or not, we all have personal demons that poke us from time to time. God knows I do ! Maybe this thread can be populated with wellness, uplifting thoughts, mental strength, fortitude etc. There is enough crap in the world that can tear the best man or woman down, beat them to a pulp - let's try to lift each other up. Remember one thing - this 'war', is going to end and there is another side to all curves. Oh and finally, it *is* - Taylor ham, egg, american cheese salt pepper ketchup....on a roll, with a greek cupped black coffee...

Z-Pak is being used to prevent secondary infections of the lungs by bacteria. It has very little to do with the virus itself, same with Doxycycline. Neither of these drugs are being used to treat his condition, and thus will have little impact on him getting better. However, these drugs allow his immune system to focus on eliminating a single threat(virus) instead of multiple.. Many respiratory viral infections becomes complicated over time with bacterial infections as the tissue becomes compromised.

They won't Not unless forced to open them by the courts. I hope this this is instrumental in torpedoing Murphy's plans to serve a second term. It's SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT to release convicted criminals from the prisons and leave the pot shops and liquor stores open than to protect the fundamental safety of the law abiding citizens subjects of this state. It's been that way for a long time and it continues. Long-standing, apparently lawful (ha!) behavior of officials who think they are our better.

The law suit should go forward. Ranges have barriers between lanes, so murphy can't say its to stop the spread of the virus. It would be the most isolation compliant business open. Also this proves every thing he does is ideologically motivated. It holds an entity, that allows exercising a constitutional right that he himself De Facto concedes to being essential, to higher standards than a liquor store (that it seems he thought was essential from the very beginning, who's product potentially promotes ciaos and violence) , appointment only, sanitize the store after every customer leaves. This goes to prove its nothing more than attack on 2A. As I said, the law suit should go forward to reverse the above two instances. Everything he's said about the issue since his EO will make an excellent argument in court as to his underling reasons.

Well I remember Ray's too. I'm sure I bought the Python at Edelman's, so I just looked at the P2P. It was their store on Route 46 in Wayne. I confused the Ray's location with Edelman's. I have to credit the salesman for steering me to it. I knew very little about guns at that time, and bought the first one to find out why I was so afraid of them, and if the fear was justified. It was a 'factory tuned' version that received a little extra attention and cost me around $400 in 1978. I thought that was really expensive (especially considering my weekly salary at the time) but I thought the revolver was beautiful and the trigger was smooth as butter. (Little did I know!) The rest, as they say, was history.

Wasn't that Ray's, on 22 in Watchung? Heckofa fine choice for a first firearm! Most of us start a few notches further down the quality chain...

Can anyone explain to me how drawing this out to maximize the number of people exposed and re-exposed and re-exposed again, is for the benefit of the many? How many times will you need to self quarantine because someone where you work, shop, exercise etc now has a case? Please do tell what is the exit plan? How those that are "at risk" eventually go shopping again? See their grand-kids? etc etc etc. Making people introverted, people interaction fearing hermits. Yeah that's a proven winner. Anyone have a number of people that died because they did not have a respirator? No I didn't think so. How about Cuomo's stockpile of unused respirators? FOLLOW THE MONEY.

I read it, too. And nothing pisses me off more when a "scientist" makes a claim and doesnt reference the study or research they conducted. When and how was this "27 foot" number calculated? Was it a projectile uncovered sneeze? I can spit further than 6 feet, does that mean the 6 foot rule is not enough? A lot of would be scientists are coming out the woodwork looking for recognition.

Uh, they confiscated firearms in new Orleans after Katrina. Rounded up people via the nat gaurd... I may not agree with his overreach of shutting down everything.. but I dont think hes over stepped the powers of a SOE, yet. There has been no precedent on how our rights are maintained during these times.. a lot of language in case law weighs the burden of an individual vs the general public.

in the near future you might find ACOG's cheap, now that the Army switched to the Sig Tango 1-6 and the Marine Corps is switching to the VCOG I think Trijicon might discontinue the ACOG. I agree with High Exposure, you can get Accupoint's and Accupower's for a lot less. I have the Accupower 1-8, has a FFP reticle like a red dot, nice 28mm objective lens for better visibility. I like the Accupower's reticle options over the Accupoint along with better windage and elevation turrets. The only downsides are the battery life and with a 34mm tube it's a tank on most rifles, I run mine on a AR-10 and it's perfect for that application, not ideal on a AR-15 for me atleast. Outside of the VCOG and ACOG you can get most trijicon optics for less than their listing price. Accupower 1-8 has a list of $1800, I see them selling for $1100-1200 regularly. I've been told the new Credo line is replacing the Accupower so you might find Accupower's even cheaper. I have both an Accupower 1-8 and a Nightforce NX8, it's tough to say which one I like better. I can give you a comparison between the 2 if you're interested but if you're not looking to spend $1500+ on a Nightforce, go with a Trijicon.

Initially, CJRPC had indoor range closed and maintain social distance on the outdoor ranges. It might be hard to maintain social distance at an indoor range. Then they changed it to closed which is still posted on their website last I looked. Give it time. We'll see. Murphy sees "club" and might think we drink and dance to rap there.

What?!?! PM me your address! I’m sending you a new trigger guard and a new pistol grip. You dropped a $200 trigger in your carbine before changing the most important interface you have to the rifle - that being the one between between the shooting hand and the firing grip. My wrist and hand ache, and the first knuckle on the middle finger of my shooting hand itches just looking at this. Craziness!!!

I think it’s ridiculous. How about just giving It to small business owners that are affected and double to all of the citizens that are out of a job due to covid 19. And triple to the business owners that are closed down.

So, technically you can be a drunk and buy as many guns as you want but God forbid your subscribed medical marijuana for the pain and want a 38 special revolver for self defense. Ridiculous
