So I woke up My dog is laying on the back patio covered in dirt with a rabbit in his mouth. The rabbit's not bloody, just dirty. My neighbor's kids raise blue ribbon show rabbits. I instantly knew it was one of theirs. So I took the rabbit away from my dog, rushed inside, and washed all the dirt off it before my neighbors could come home. It was stiff but I heard some animals play dead when they are afraid but I couldn't remember which ones. I took it and placed it back in one of the cages in their back yard then I ZOOMED back home. Not 30 minutes later I hear my neighbors screaming so I go out and ask them what's wrong? They tell me their rabbit died three days ago and they buried it but now it's back in the cage.

...to be brief..... my son is on day 14 home quarantine and has been taking Doxicyclne and "Z" Pak....last day of "Z" is tomorrow...Doxy twice a day for 10 days....says this AM, canker sores that developed from the virus near his gum line have started to heal, has less of a cough and says he's feeling much better....his wife has a much milder case with just a minor cough.

Soooo, I asked Mrs. Scorpio to explain the test to me in a way that I could, in turn, explain to y'all. She handed me some package inserts from Abbott and Cepheid with big words and stuff. I gave up after about two minutes and sat her down (actually, she practically pushed me out of my chair) to type out the following. Bottom line.... Serology tests are crap, they only detect antibodies. The PCR antigen test detects the RNA and is very reliable.

Thanks for the kudos Rosey. Let me embellish one point. My dream required me to own a house in PA, so I can produce tax documents with our names on it to show to the FFL before he calls PICS for the background check. For good measure I bring an electric bill. Coincidentally both those documents show our PA and NJ addresses, because we have the bills sent to NJ (our state of domicile) where we are most of the time. But it's not necessary. Usually my PA LTCF is used for state identification, and my NJDL written in the margin if it's a handgun purchase, which has a separate form in PA. But PICS definitely uses my SSN and NJ DL to do the background check. Side note: Occasionally a PICS supervisor must be brought into the call, because some of the PICS frontline agents don't know the law either. If I was renting in PA, I would be able to do the same thing. Then it would be a lease with the utility bill. Kudos to you too Rosey for all your hard work at CNJFO. Your team too.

A denied FPID only means you can't purchase a long gun in NJ, transport outside the exemption, or buy handgun ammo. You may lawfully possess and transport under an exemption any already owned firearms.

Some, yes. Also many people that were oblivious and perhaps will pay more attention and help the 2A cause. I'd be willing to believe that until they prove otherwise.

I like to use this picture to put things into perspective, usually this is enough to scare people to stay home and you don't even need the fear of the virus. Let's let our friend Samuel Jackson give everyone advice on what to do.

Started off the whole quarantine thing by being productive. Garage clean up, yard work, home projects, and end each day with a glass of scotch. Now my productivity is waning and I just go straight to the scotch!

Citations please. People move into this state all the time with legal purchased firearms from other states.
  14. 2 points
You both are conflating domicile and residence. You can only have one state of domicile, but you can have many states of residence. My domicile is NJ. My states of residence are NJ and PA. I have homes and buy firearms in both. And transport freely between them.

Really Hope it helps the 2A cause. But also really hope that all the New gun owners practice gun safety, if they don't it could make things worse.

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Scorpio64! Your contribution to community health is noted. I thought of deleting that video, but perhaps I'll leave it up to demonstrate that it's been refuted. In light of this, I'll be watching for comments in the public airwaves about the specificity of tests. I think they should be pointing that out.

I only got three minutes in, alarm bells went off almost immediately when he said he's quoting an anonymous source, and I stopped the playback when he said PCR is known to not work...(it works, it works well, and it's been working for 35 years). Yes, there are multiple families of coronaviruses, but that's been known for decades. Right now, there are believed to be 8 strains of the particular coronavirus that causes COVID19. That might account for the highly variable symptoms infected people are experiencing, though that could still also be due to individual differences among the patients. The highly encouraging news is that the 8 strains are very, very, similar to each other, which A), makes it more likely that a single vaccine will work against all, and B), makes it more likely that if the virus comes back each year, a one-time vaccination will continue to protect. A) and B) aren't yet proven, of course, but what we know so far makes both seem likely.

I started with the breech lock single stage, then I got the lee turret, and then "graduated" to a Dillon 650 with most of the bells & whistles. The single stage I still use, I use it for all my rifle reloading and also for depriming. I use it to deprime only because I'm OCD and wet tumble so it makes clean primer pockets and dries easier. You mention several pistol calibers, I would avoid doing these on a single stage. As a newcomer to reloading, I would also avoid doing these on a progressive (there's just too much going on). The turret is the "sweet spot" of speed and ease while maintaining cost effectiveness since it doesn't really cost much more than the single stage. With a turret I can do about 100 rounds an hour, I haven't timed the single stage with pistol rounds but it will be noticeably slower. You lose some of the speed advantage with rifle rounds on turrets and progressives because you have other case prep like trimming that interrupts the cycle. This is why I just take it a little slower and enjoy the benefits of the accuracy of the single stage although this is a preference thing, many people reload rifle rounds on turrets and progressives. I've dabbled with "blaster" 30-06 on my turret but I find it's barely any faster than doing batch work on the single stage. If you really want to reload all those calibers to start, I'd get both presses. Set the turret up for your pistol calibers and set the single stage up for the rifle calibers. You'll enjoy a little bit of the best of both worlds and the additional expense will be >$100. You'll also always have a use for both. I use all three presses (breech lock single, turret, and progressive) as they all have their own benefits and drawbacks. I do my high volume pistol on the 650, low volume pistol (.500 S&W, 8mm Nambu) on the turret, rifle on my single stage, and like i mentioned I do depriming on the single as well (and swaging if necessary).

A Turret Press is not a "single stage press" A single stage Press is limited to one process per pull of the handle. Limited to one die station. If you have 4 processes you will need to change the die station 4x's. A Turret Press is an automated Press that can be auto indexed or indexed manually. Holding minimum 3 up to 7 Die stations depending on the Press and Brand. None of the Manufacturers list or call their "Turret Press" a Single stage Press. The Flexibility of a Turret Press enables you Run like a Progressive Press or Run 4 single die stations manually. Turret set up One, Decap station 1- resize station 2 - expanding die station 3. Turret set up Two, Powder Measure Station 1 - bullet seat station 2 - Lee crimp die station 3. To do the above process with a Single stage press you would need 6 die changes. compared to changing out one turret. A Turret Press will run circles around a Single stage press operation, just as a progressive press will run circles around a Turret press operation.

Ive decapped and sized. I haven't swaged yet. however with the multitube adapter you can decap or resize as fast as you can pull the handle. The unit likes speed not slow cycling. This thing just cut my processing time (which takes more time than anything) by 75%!
  25. 1 point
No - it's a turret press. 4 dies are mounted all at the same time. Yes, it only uses 1 die at a time, but they are all staged and ready to go. It also auto indexes the turret for the next step in the process.

Yeah, I'm torn on this issue! My civil liberties brain screams "hey, this is wrong!" - but I'm kind of with you on this one. My pragmatic side immediately noticed that the 4 cities reported in the article are among the most dangerous, crime-ridden and gang-infested cities in the entire state... look at the NJSP crime stats and them compare to population stats. I've done that and these 4 cities (along with 1-2 others in that area + Trenton and Camden) account for a ridiculously disproportionate percentage of the state's violent crime. Sooo, honestly... I really don't want the gangbangers from those cities piling into cars and jumping on 78West (towards my town)... or jumping onto the Parkway (and maybe heading towards your town), etc. Of course, I also don't want them preying on their own neighbors! Because there are decent people in EVERY city. But, I've got to think that these police departments know their own cities... know exactly what they're dealing with... and they're trying to mitigate even bigger problems.

I was in Newark during the riots.....remember the tanks being transported on flatbed trailers passing me on Rt.1&9 and being stopped each morning having my car searched coming off the Rt.22 ramp on to Empire St. also, all the phone booths through the city smashed to get the coins out…Cops I knew were carrying multiple handguns and workin' around the clock..yup, it was real enough.

As per the NJSP - AK's in NJ are allowed as long as they do not say Kalasnikov on the frame! Cannot be Russian (A. Kalasnikov) nor US Kalasnikov Concern, USA. The fram can say "AK" on it - just not "Kalasnikov" All other AK's are considered Sporting Rifles, and as long as they meet the NJ compliance regulations then they can be sold.........

I run my gas items at least once a month and cycle the fuel among them and the vehicles. I add storage additives to the genny, but not to the blower, mower or trimmer as those get used more often than not. Also, I run the genny hooked up and test it under load to make sure I'm 100% ready.

All AK types are illegal in NJ. Always has been. The name means nothing. The NJSP has always looked the other way, except the one time with a dealer in Hamilton.

I wouldn't suggest any as good because it is NJ, price is high and not many gun stores stores is around. I saw them last year in good selection at RTSP and some selection at HeritageGuild stores. But again, price is horrible in my opinion in both. Reloaderz seem better store but price... Drive around, look, try, that is what I do.

ATF Rule 2010-6 states that you can have residences in several states and buy firearms in each if you observe any additional state requirements. (And we're not referring to your one state of domicile.) If you purchase a firearm legally in another state there is no NJ requirement to have an FID to possess a firearm in your residence or transport it to any other permitted location like a range or FFL, if you observe the transport requirements. If I were an FL resident I would want to read the relevant statutes or talk to a firearms attorney to make sure I was getting accurate information. Why? If I asked a hundred PA FFLs if I can buy firearms in PA with a NJ DL a substantial number will say 'No'. And they will mean 'No you can't legally do that', not 'No, you can legally do that but we don't want to do it'. And if I ask a random sheriff's deputy if I can have a resident PA LTCF without a PA DL, a substantial number will say 'No'. I've had more than one say that to me. I have a resident PA LTCF and I buy and possess firearms in both states according to the federal and state requirements, and I transport them freely between both. Observing of course, in the case of NJ, that firearms I bring here are NJ legal. Good luck with your exploration.

A single stage press isn't that hard to use to make a quantity of pistol ammo — you work in batches Size 200 cases prime 200 cases expand 200 cases seat 200 bullets crimp 200 cases It doesn’t take long, you get a rythm going on the press — I would recommend the little dandy pistol powder measure — powder charging on the included tool will be slow with the included measure Yes a progressive is faster, more expensive, and more involved — you don’t need to start with a progressive Just realize that you will outgrow this kit quick if you do actually become a reloader — even if you stay single stage you will probably upgrade every piece of this kit

But dont buy it there. Go to Titan Reloading, You will thank me later

It's a nice package that gets you started for minimal outlay. If you decide reloading isn't for you, you could sell the package and get most of your money back. If you decide to really get into progressive presses and such there is always a need for a single stage. Lee makes quality stuff. Their customer service is greatm

Won't see this in the mainstream press - it doesn't fit the narrative at all: https://bearingarms.com/cam-e/2020/03/28/armed-citizen-active-shooter-tulsa-shopping-center/ Here's how the local press wrote up the story (excerpted from above link). See if you think this narrative fits the circumstances: Tulsa police say a woman has died after a shooting in north Tulsa Friday evening. According to investigators a man shot and killed the woman near East 54th Street North and North Peoria Avenue. Police say it was all caught on security footage outside a local store in the area and that’s why they now have the suspect in custody.

Stuck inside again today, I didn't buy anything. But I did make 200 rounds of MAJOR zombie (as in circus animals and released prisoners) ammo for my Henry lever guns: 50 rounds of 350gr .45-70 with a whopping load of 54gr of H335 150 rounds of 250gr .45Colt with 6.2gr of Titegroup Tomorrow's agenda starts with (and continues for multiple days with my inventory of brass) .223 that needs to be prepped and loaded for the now-shortened competition season. When that's done, I'll make more zombie .223 (SS109 projectile) ammo, though I've already got enough to start a small war at this point. It's good to be a reloader with lots of time on his hands and components on the shelf!

Well, I mean, it’s already going to state and federal agencies. So, you know, they already have it. regardless, this is about opening an FFL. Please don’t step too far off the path and descend down the tinfoil hat rabbit hole.
