Ummmmmmmmm, not exactly, lol! I broke the story last month on March 31st. With an interview of a teacher who's parents live in Toms River and were turned-away. Then I called IdentoGo on April 1st at 9:10am & spoke to an employee, who I then quoted in my follow-up story that same day using it to intro the original March 31st story. Even as I typed & broke the story, folks that already had confirmed appointments at SOME locations were allowed to complete their application requirements on March 31st. April 1st the system was completely shutdown statewide, and we broke THAT part of the story too. Anytime you want to see what we're doing, and how news gets reported, feel free to take a gander at our blog, as John Petrolino works diligently on posting our articles from our entire writing staff! https://www.cnjfo.com/news FIREARMS FINGERPRINTING AT A STANDSTILL! NEW PEOPLE GETTING COMPLETE RUN-AROUND! by Black Wire Media Tues. March 31, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us While folks who went through the "NJ meat grinder" that is the firearm permitting process these past weeks to get their firearms permits in-hand and then go back to the store celebrating the NICS portal being turned back on this morning, there remains a HUGE, little-known problem here in NJ with firearms fingerprinting for all new applications! THERE ISN'T ANY! At least not in the Toms River, NJ area! We have first-person interviewed Christina, a CNJFO supporter, NJ teacher & firearms owner, who's parents in their mid to late 50's, have decided that NOW is the time to get serious about self-protection! Here's the UGLY truth! Christina's parents live in Toms River, NJ and right now Toms River is only accepting online electronic firearms applications through the new FARS system. When reached today, IdentoGo, the company hired by the state of NJ to provide fingerprinting services for firearms applicants, told Christina, "IdentoGo employees can no longer access their own software to enter fingerprints for firearms into the system". IdentoGo further stated, "NO FINGERPRINTING FOR FIREARMS IS ALLOWED!". ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "My parents are in righteous FEAR that something will happen to them, that they'll be attacked, that a HOME INVASION may happen! What can I do, I live 2 HOURS away!" ---Christina ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Without new applicants being able to submit fingerprints, the entire application process is but a farce. The online FARS system isn't providing a solution as of yet, and Christina is worried. Guess who IdentoGo takes their marching orders from? You guessed it, NJ Governor Phil Murphy, 2nd Amendment hater extraordinaire! Was this an "oversight" to not remind IdentoGo that they can once again accept fingerprint requests from firearms permit applicants OR was this a deliberate attempt to impede the flow of guns into new gun owners hands? We'll leave that to our readers...

In these strange times of shortages and extra time on our hands, I've taken stock of my inventory of reloading components. I find that I've got an excess of some items, and am in need of some others. Some of the items can be shipped, others must be picked up in person. My list of excess is: CCI #34 Large Rifle Military Primers .45ACP (large primer) spent brass (tumbled clean) .40S&W spent brass (tumbled clean) .357 copper jacketed soft point 158gr projectiles (Magnus #J-119) I'm in need of: CCI, Federal or Winchester Large Rifle Primers PM me if you need any of the things I have excess of, or if you have what I need. We'll try to work out an equitable exchange. I would encourage all of you reloaders to take stock of what you have and what you need, and add your post to this thread. Thanks, Brian

The virus is not motile. If it winds up in your ass, you put it there with your fingers. Besides, you can just cook it in the oven for 30 minutes at 170. I wouldn't do that if you've wiped first. It'll be quite aromatic.

Won't the virus just crawl up my ass then?

See that's the kind of optimistic, can-do attitude we need. Change you handle from "Old Hunter" to FUDD and get it over with. Everything you complained about is very doable. Open every other lane boom, six feet of separation. Don't allow new shooters or instruction for the time being. R.O can spray down a port in about 20 seconds. Staff has to inspect firearms returned anyway, a quick wipe down with a Clorox wipe and it's done. Wow, I bet most ranges making NO money will put with this.

you are entitled to voice any opinion you have.. LOL it is just misguided.. as I stated.. most of the complaining stems from people that don't really have a proper understanding of the gun.. and that lack of understanding has created disappointment for them which then gets pushed out to the inter webs.. you can if you choose.. get these things to run any ammo.. there is a guy on the old S12 forum that built like an 7 or 8in S12 and that thing will rip through any ammo.. just depends on what you are looking to get out of it.. and the effort you are willing to put in..

Subject: The lawyer A lawyer, who had a wife and 12 children, needed to move because his rental agreement was terminated by the owner, who wanted to reoccupy the home. When he said he had 12 children, no one would rent a home to him because they felt that the children would destroy the place. He couldn't say he had no children because he couldn't lie (as we all know, lawyers cannot, and do not lie). So he sent his wife for a walk to the cemetery with 11 of their kids. He took the remaining one with him to see rental homes with the real estate agent. He loved one of the homes and the price was right. The agent asked:"How many children do you have?" He answered: "Twelve." The agent asked, "Where are the others?" The lawyer, with his best courtroom sad look, answered, "They're in the cemetery with their mother." MORAL: It's not necessary to lie; one has only to choose the right words. Don't forget - most politicians are lawyers.

The ATF has released Guidance in connection with the Covid-19 Virus regarding application of CDC Guidance on the 6’ social distancing requirement for persons who are handling rifles, shotguns, pistols, AOW and NFA items. The 6’ measurement should be taken from the end of the bore of the firearm being handled to the mouth of the assailant and in cases of multiple assailants, to the mouth of the closest assailant.

I would agree with you that it's wasteful to get rid of a mask after you use it for a few minutes. I believe a week in the sun is more than sufficient. You would probably be OK with just a day or two.

While everyone is arguing about the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, some aren't paying attention to a couple of problems that are looming. First, food supply was at a very high stockpile back before these stay in place orders hit. That stockpile has been reduced significantly. Read this article: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/31/opinion/coronavirus-food-supply.html This means a couple things to you. 1. Plant a garden if you want fresh veggies this year. Get your seeds and whatever you need to plant and get it now. When people realize what hundreds of thousands of migrant workers not showing up means, all those supplies will disappear. 2. Get more of the canned types of veggies now. There is no real downside to this as that stuff lasts years and in 2023 if there are no veggies shortages, you can open that last can of beans and finally clear out your stockpile. As a corollary to point 2, learn how to can. My wife has been doing it for years. My favorite are her bread and butter pickles. We opened a can last week for some frozen burgers. Nothing like it you can buy anywhere. Totally awesome. 3. If you can get a small freezer, lay in some extra meat. Once again, I don't think there will be shortages. There will however probably be outages. This means if you can't get to store around when the truck has shown up and the products are put out, you won't be able to get it. Supply bottlenecks are going to occur. Count on it. They look like the toilet paper situation. The next big problem will be the recession/depression that's going to come. Once all the fed party money gets spent, real pain is going to happen. When we start seeing the real unemployment numbers hitting 20+%, and the fed realizes that the fire hose of money isn't helping, they will turn off the tap and deflation is certain. Everyone will be competing for the jobs that do exist, meaning wage deflation is certain. This means a couple key things. 1. Don't incur any new debt. You don't want to borrow money that is worth more tomorrow. This is what is great about inflation. Every year, the value of the dollar goes down. I could buy a 1970 $15,000 middle class home out of my 2020 savings. What changed? The value of the dollar went down and $15,000 today is worth probably 10% of what it was worth in 1970. 2. Eat cheaper. Grow a garden. See point above. 3. Pay off the debt you can. I have two mortgages, both are small. I could probably pay one or maybe both of them off this year if we re-structure things. It would help if the market recovers. 4. Having some hard assets is helpful, but not depreciating assets(like cars). Not mountains of it, just some to get through a lean period if you need to sell. Guns, ammo, silver, etc. Use your imagination. 5. Improve your skillsets. I can do framing, plumbing, electric, finish carpentry, cabinets, trap, hunt, fish, cook, rebuild engines, swing an axe, a sledge hammer, I can write code, fix just about any computer, make rj45 cables, configure commercial networking equipment, monitor and configure your AD, your DHCP, DNS, set up surveillance systems, use wireshark and track down misbehaving network devices, on and on. Some stuff I suck at. Fidgety work that requires patience and finesse. Like sewing. Stuff that requires good dexterity is not my strong suit, but I'm learning. Everyone should.

What?!?! PM me your address! I’m sending you a new trigger guard and a new pistol grip. You dropped a $200 trigger in your carbine before changing the most important interface you have to the rifle - that being the one between between the shooting hand and the firing grip. My wrist and hand ache, and the first knuckle on the middle finger of my shooting hand itches just looking at this. Craziness!!!
