You're preaching to the choir! Welcome to the choir loft, but beware of the trolls in the closet.

I must have received a dozen notifications of range reopenings, which I welcome as heartily as I do emails from Oroho informing me that there's a coronavirus flying around, and from Allstate that "no action is required." I'm sure there'll also be so much patting on the back, both genuine and self-inflicted. Just like the announcement that retail was reopening. If by reopening they mean we can still order online but now we have to wait in a 40 minute line to pick up our CUOMO for PRESIDENT boxer shorts. Guys, the ranges are not open until we can enter the premises as free people taking whatever precautions we ourselves have decided are appropriate, up to and including staying home. Until then we are beholden and (willingly) subservient to the various connivers operating behind the scenes to grant us a tiny sliver of our rights in return for shutting up. Somebody please show some testosterone.

Thanks cm. The one on the left is a standard that got an overhaul from carl leisig. The leading US m1a gunsmith. Its a tack driver. Trigger job. Tuned harmonic rod and peep sights for 1/2 moa adjustment. Less than 1 moa rifle. Btw. The mounts are for Sale.

I shoot at CJRPC and the 10 person limit is just plain stupid. There could be 10 people in the pits, 10 on each of the rifle and pistol ranges and 10 shooting clays and still easily maintain social distancing. The 10 person limit is just another FU from our governor.

Range 14 is ruled by the Base Commander. They don't have to obey/follow Murphy. The question: does the BC have any common sense?

The crown over X is a Spanish proof mark associated with the Eiber proof house up until 1931 when the king fled. The crown changed to a knight's helmet. The rampant lion is actually the final proof mark and was used from 1923 to 1928. Just a guess but the EN is probably the Eiber Nitro proof (smokeless powder). Eiber was a hotbed of S&W counterfeits. With the exception of the cylinder release, this gun is very much a copy of a S&W Military and Police. That's all I've got. Adios, Pizza Bob

Maybe because what a State puts in its constitution is none of the Federal government's business so long as it does not contradict Federal law. The 2nd Amendment is applicable to all the States through the 14th Amendment so no mention of anything similar in the State constitution is irrelevant.

Yes I heard this on NBC, CNN, MSNBC. Opening Range 14 is going to wipe out The Joint Base, Cookstown and Browns Mills. We are all gonna DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are many old dudes (like me) that hang out at Range 14. Just think, Young Ones, if the old ones get IT, you will get a table sooner. No waiting. Sorry for the sick humor but I am just tired of all the experts and politicians and their expert opinions and their modeling. HAHA. The only accurate model I know of is the plastic F4 Phantom on the shelf in my family room. The half life of a CDC model is about 20 minutes. It wrong before the ink dries. I heart venting. LOL.

The DoD is not going to risk letting civilians onto the base recreationally even if it's not interacting with soldiers and risk spreading the pandemic through an entire military base.

A private range probably wouldn't. ANJRPC already has my money. Their finances are probably ok. They'd only need a weekday staff at 1/4 capacity. I hope they're paying those guys anyway. Point is very few businesses are profitable at 10% capacity.

I need to ask a potentially stupid question. Since when can the executive branch of government pass laws? Isn't the ability to draft and approve laws reserved to the legislative branch of government?

Not a peep out of SJSC yet. I'm looking to join once they re-open. I want to be able to shoot further than 100 yards and Range 14 is about an hour and fifteen minutes. SJSC is maybe 30 minutes at most. Cumberland is also about 30 minutes. 600 yards would be awesome to shoot at.

I wish i could. It says ive exceeded my limit or some other bs. I meant to ask maks about that. How i clear it out. Ill send pics to #cmjeepster and maybe he can post it for me.

Well, I'm breaking out on Friday, regardless. 72F and rainy will be just fine. My mother always said about going out in the rain "Don't worry ... you're not so sweet you'll melt!" If SJSC isn't open yet, I'll be at Cumberland. My trigger finger is so itchy, if I can't put it into a trigger guard, I'm afraid I'll put it in someone's eye!

Maybe check care dot com, see what is the going rate in your area, and undercut a tad. My sitter is 18 and charges $10 an hour for two kids. She's really good with my kids, so I always overpay her. What she said.

If I were her I would go to www.care.com - it's a site were nannies, eldercare workers, petcare workers advertise their services and people looking for those skills can find them. It does force you to fill out a free profile - but I'm guessing she would get the "intel" she needs. She could fill out the profile as though she was looking for a nanny within her customer's zip code, fit the profile to her own credentials, and then review all the profiles of her "competitors" and see exactly what they're charging. I'm guessing 10 minutes of time would probably provide a wealth of geographically accurate, real-time pricing info.

Granted my experience is limited to R14. I think it has around 25 ports between rifle and pistol ranges (not including shotgun and archery ranges) with up to 4 people per port. Depending on definition of “range” in the EO limiting all of R14 to 10 would be severely limiting. Even if just applied to individual ranges it’s still a big restriction. Given that restriction and demand I may not get range time for 4 months. Ironically that’s when mom will let me out of the basement.

For the people who come across this thread later on and during this pandemic. I finally found my gun. I ended up calling and emailing a bunch of the vendors suggested here, as well as others I found online. They're all telling me the same thing. 1. They don't have a lot of items they normally have in stock 2. They can't order it because they're already on order, it's whenever they can get a shipment 3. Suppliers are having delays shipping due to shortened hours, staff and inventory. The silver lining, there were a few other options I came across, which another new gun owner might not know about. On another thread someone suggested using this tool, which emails the vendors on the forum. I did this before calling all the other places. https://www.njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/forms/2-handgun-price-request/ I also found the gun online at 2 locations: https://www.kygunco.com/ https://www.sportsmansguide.com/ Came across this site and it was pretty useful, but tough to navigate: https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/320xc-9-bxr3-r2-10 Did some research and considered ordering online and shipping it to one of the FFL suggested. I almost did this before I got a notification that a vendor on here JT Custom Guns, replied to my request saying his warehouse has one. Jack seems to have good reviews and is reputable on this forum. The price he quoted was consistent with the costs I've seen online including transfer fees, so I called him up to put the order through, so far he's been really professional, responsive and informative. Definitely a tough time to get into this hobby, but on the positive side, I've probably done more research now than I normally would have. Definitely use the NJGF price request first and then start calling places.

If they withdraw the lawsuit we should withdraw our membership dues. Simple as that. I'm not waiting in the car for 3 hours so ANJRPC can make sure all of Governor Gopher's wildest fantasies are realized. I'm not wearing a mask outdoors any longer, PERIOD. I'd love to see how they're going to remove Lung Flu Sicken from wooden benches. Oops, someone forgot to disinfect the switch for turning the range cold. Someone sneezed! Let's ask our superiors if we should close down for a few more months. I wonder what Murphy would say? I'll drive to PA to shoot, or go to a friend's, shoot my pellet gun in my basement, or do what I've been doing for the last three months (including pre-COVID time off). By now there should be NO restrictions on ANY outdoor activities ANYWHERE but in New York City, and even that should be voluntary. If you are afraid I don't blame you one bit. I wouldn't bring my mother to a CORONA protest, and if I had a health issue I'd be maniacal about this, FOR ME. So if you need to stay home STAY HOME! Wear anything you like, don't touch your face, don't breathe my air, don't walk by anybody, but please LEAVE ME ALONE.

That's awesome... But the indoor lanes should still be opened up. I know the air is cleaner in there than it is at freakin Walmart.

Cumberland Riflemen in Millville (the ONLY 600 yard range in our G-dforsaken state) has announced it will open to members on Friday morning. No word yet from the owners of South Jersey Shooting Club in Winslow (Camden County) on a reopening.

Murphy is a fucking idiot. "RANGE REOPENING GUIDELINES IN NEW MURPHY EXECUTIVE ORDER May 19, 2020. As we reported yesterday, in response to ANJRPC's lawsuit, the Murphy Administration has reversed itself on its improper closure of outdoor ranges, which are now authorized to reopen as of 6:00 a.m. this Friday, May 22, subject to social distancing and sanitization protocols, and a capacity limit, among other things." Can someone explain to me how you sanitize an OUTDOOR range?

2011 open gun I assume? MBX has 10rd 2011 mags that are 140 in length work well. other option is to buy 2011 sti gen 2 mags and get the atlas kit to block the mags BEFORE you come into NJ. I'm also in Bergen County and can tell you there are many like minded individuals here. https://mbxextreme.com/index.php?page=Magazines_10Round_141mm https://atlasgunworks.com/product/atlas-gunworks-mag-capacity-limiter/

in *Bergen County* ??? - some liberal pinko commie neighbor is going to drop the dime big time on you - even if you talk to the PD, and they are receptive, don't count on it - watch for no discharge laws in your town on your own property. Additionally, the 'neighbors' are not going to take lightly to you even messing with toys like that in the yard. This ain't nuthin like being back in the bayou....

You're right, doesn't matter what I think. You know what else doesn't matter? Everything else you listed. Mostly the " pounding of Rights at the academy", why even bother teaching them when in the end the cops just do their jobs enforcing laws, constitutional or not as dictated to them by their superiors and bad lawmakers? I don't blame them, and don't absolve them either. To me they are a neutral entity and not to be counted on as part of the checks and balances when debating a tyranical govt.

What's a COE? Oh yeah, I had a bunch of those stored with some other papers in my basement, the papers got wet and moldy so I had to discard them. A tragic loss! I don't think they used COE's back then. They serve no purpose.

M855 “green tip” was designed to defeat Soviet helmets at 300 yards. It was designed for a time when we were preparing for a conflict when the Commie Hordes would come pouring through the Fulda Gap. We realized in the late 80’s early 90’s that the round flat sucks against unarmored folks.
