2 pointsReally? Do you work hard at being a putz or does it just come natural? How dare you! You ought to be ashamed of yourself! I can understand the frustration, but this keyboard commando bullshit of yours has to stop! You want gun industry people out of work & ranges closed forever? Because they didn't do what YOU want them to?

1 pointI bought two Berettas recently, here is the straight story. Both were older: 2002, 1992. Bought online for very good prices. Both were clean, well made and great values. The 1992 is a wide receiver model and built like a tank. I expect many years of service from these guns and I shoot often. That's the good part. 28" O/U White WIng and a trap combo set with 34" single barrel and 32" O/U 686 models. Both were about 1/3 the cost of new guns. The White Wing is a plain vanilla 686 designed for retail stores. Although they both test fired fine upon arrival, they had broken parts inside the receiver! The firing spring bushing end broke off. They would not fire the second barrel consistently. Not cool. Hey, buyer beware and they may have been like this for years. Easy fix for me- send to Cole's in Maine for complete internal rebuild. Lesson learned: Buy a used Beretta for a good price online and have the seller send it directly to Cole's for rebuild. It probably needs something, even if it is not apparent. This way you can save one shipping charge and end up with a great gun in factory new condition. The rebuild is about $300 and well worth it. Maybe a lightly shot gun would not need this but mine were well used and I plan to run thousands of rounds a year thru these firearms.

1 pointlast I heard about this is that murphy and grewal are suing them to keep them closed, the two assholes will win in NJ but hopefully the restaurants appeal to federal level ASAP where they "might" stand a chance and at a minimum have asshole reveal his scientific data to the court as to what determines what can open. All lawsuits against murphy should include all financial losses should his science prove to be phony which all of us here know it is all personal. This fight is far from over, in September/October when the regular flu season starts to ramp up murphy will try this shut down bullshit again so the lawsuits must continue against murphy,

1 pointAll that has been done as a matter of course... Yes that would be good if you could ask. I saw a lee 405 open base.mold....might get it and cast some up and see how they do. Just was wondering if the process seemed sound and in line with best in practice etc.

1 pointAs a certain 2A heavy lifter has stated on a few occasions, Murphy is consulting a magic 8 ball as his source of data & science. I hope someone does a FOIA request on what information the governor is using. He should be held liable for negligence.

1 pointDo you have any factory rounds to measure over-all case length? Did you make any "dummies" w/o powder & primer to check to see if OAL fits in your gun? It should chamber & extract effortlessly in a Trap Door. Some guns don't like the 500 gr offering & prefer the 405's. Not sure which, and you seem to have a newer model. Springfield started making them in .50-70 prior to the .45-70 chambering. I have a .50-70 original Trap Door a friend gave me. Your loads sound about where you want to be. Compressing the black powder uniformly each time is the key to accuracy. Most guys use SPG lube or a grease cookie to keep the fouling soft & maintain accuracy. Paul Matthews wrote a nice series of books on the .45-70's. Found them on Amazon. Let me know if you want me to ask the OBRPC BP league chair about this. He owns a .45-70 Sharps & reloads for it. The ladies love it at Ladies Day at the Range!

1 pointYes, the shorter "pits" towards the left half of the range are for pistol. Look at the satellite view.

1 pointIt was a blind sale from 2 gun shops. If they opened them up, the pieces were sitting in a recess in the stock. One seller offered "to take a look at it" but Cole is THE Beretta shop. I think the nuts backed off and the bushing thread snapped when the end of the nut bottomed against the stock counterbore. Hey, but what does a mechanical engineer know about machinery? They were still worth buying and owning. You will not see them up for sale.

1 pointLoaded small arms ammo is NOT a HazMat item. It is an ORM-D item and can only be shipped (non-USPS) by an ORM-D contract shipper. Primers and powder are HazMat items and can only be shipped (non-USPS) by a HazMat contract shipper. Primed brass is subject to neither of those classifications and can be shipped through the regular USPS mail. Go figure!

1 pointWhat was interesting was what he did with said ARs. He didn't use them, he didn't keep them loaded. He broke them down and slung them. His thought process was, I know my gun works. I don't know what this gun does. Also, he was trying to blend in. Not become a target. Very good listen.

1 pointI for one have lost all respect for the owners of all the shooting ranges, they have essentially laid their swords at the feet of a communist dictator and are begging for mercy. They should have sued in federal court 2 months ago to force the asshole to produce his "data" that shows an indoor shooting range is more dangerous than a Walmart . I hate to admit it but I wouldn't feel bad for them if they closed their doors forever and lost everything. Stand up for your rights people, the barber in Detroit has more balls than any of NJ's business owners.

1 pointYes, sir. I only carry one bag to the range. Don't over think this. That bag Is fine to carry it all and fully complies with the law. If you want to carry the ammo in a separate box or bag like many do, nobody is going to make fun of you, either. And another thing, it's perfectly legal to transport your magazines loaded, as well. Just do not insert them into the firearm; keep them in a separate pocket.

1 pointThen pizza bob's answer is correct. that bag is fine. I use an old laptop bag myself.
