I sent an email out last week and got zero response from them. I will be canceling my credit card with them and discontinue business. Why support a company that won't support me?

I belong to a private outdoor range in PA (it was the best, closest option to my residence), and a private indoor range in NJ - but I was also going to a commercial range in NJ (TTC in Flemington) primarily for a women's shooting group I belong to. Not only will I go to TTC once those chapter meetings resume in-person, but I intend to go to TTC on my own this summer at least a handful of times... even if it's inconvenient and even if I have to endure some wait times. Why?... Because our Governor is biased against these businesses (he's made that abundantly clear) and the easiest way we can fight back against his authoritarianism is to throw these ranges our business, and plenty of it! If not, as @SJG rightly pointed out upthread, these businesses will surely go under - giving our Governor and his minions exactly what they wanted! Can you imagine how difficult it will become to introduce new shooters to the sport if the # of ranges in this state shrinks considerably? So, you can certainly do as you wish, but I would urge you to consider making at least one visit to a NJ commercial range this month. It's bad enough this administration is overtly hostile to them... they should at least be able to count on NJ's gun-owning community to support them and to keep these facilities open for new, incoming shooters. Just my opinion!

Shot the G43x at SHOT Show. The length of the grip makes it very comfortable. Very quick shooter as it's a short slide - cycles quickly. Between the 43X and the 48, I preferred the 48 though, but that's just me. I've got a G48 waiting on permits...

Bought one of these from Schuyler Arms last time they were on sale and just bought another 2 since they are on sale again. I was skeptical of the Holosun to begin with but after putting a bunch of rounds on it I actually like it more than my RMR01's. I have an astigmatism and the RMR gets blurry on me but this circle/dot stay super crisp. Shop is legit hundreds of dudes on Reddit have ordered from them in the last few months with no issues, and those guys are notoriously finicky. I would guess - 1000's So many new owners buying Home Defense weapons. Liberals are even seeing the light in terms of owning a gun. When there are 2000 + NICS checks in the que in one day, you gotta believe at least half are new owners. That's why all the guns are out of stock..................

It's sad, but they don't give a damn about rights. All they want is the money. If they thought they could make more selling BLM apparel than firearms they would switch in a heartbeat.

Went to RTSP Randolph today. Arrived there at around 3 pm and I was told the wait had been 2.5 hours but it was moving a little quicker now. Ended up waiting for 2.5 hours anyhow but I got 60 minutes of range time. It felt so good to shoot my new guns for the first time since I bought them in March and June, respectively. It worked pretty well since they can give you a rough estimate of the wait when you sign up. You sign up and leave and come back a bit earlier than the estimated waiting time to minimize the wait in the car.

you can do this, but there's little idiosyncrasies. first off....r134 works TONS better than r12.....and so far it seems better than the new r123hf. it is sensitive to temp/humidity though. you pretty much need to see the pressures. I helped johnnyb out yesterday. on an 87degree day with about 78% humidity, his pressures were about 48psi and 145psi low and high respectively. those were just a hair low, and the vent outlet temp was about 64 or 65 degrees. I added a couple ounces, brought the pressures to about 51/155 and dropped the vent temp into the lower 50's I think it was. if you overcharge these systems even just a few ounces, they'll start to get warmer. overcharge too much, and your high side will get high enough to pop the blowoff valve. if you use one of the small cans, hook it to the system, open the valve, let it go for just a couple seconds, then close the valve and give it about a minute to see what the vent outlet temp drops to. repeat and rinse. just add tiny amounts each time so you don't overcharge. the ones that come without the hose, you need to buy a hose assembly to tap into the can with

Have you shot handguns before? It's not difficult to become accurate with one. Practice or take some classes. You dont' need to be a sharp shooter especially if self defense if your primary concern. Revolvers are, in my opinion, one of the simpliest to understand and operate firearms. They are great self defense weapons espeically for people who are new to firearms or not have much experience with handguns. Most don't have a safety, no worrying about sliding the rack, loading a magazine, stove pipes or failures to feed, flying brass, etc. Just open it up, load it, point and shoot. If you've already shot 22 handguns you know there is hardly any recoil. As others mentioned, a revolver such as a full sized 357 revolver like a Ruger GP 100 or S&W 586/ 686 fired with 38s is low recoil as well. Wadcutter rounds are VERY low recoil. And learning to shoot on a double action revolver is a great place to start learning how to shoot a handgun. Shooting 357 is a HUGE step up from 38s so if you are newer I would stick with 38s. You can shoot 38s through a 357 but never the other way around. I would stick with a 4 inch barrel to start. Not too short that you'll feel more recoil and not too long to be TOO heavy. If you want to try 9mm, CZ makes some great firearms that are considered by many to be some of the most ergomatic handguns around. They are also pretty affordable. The CZ75 is their full size. It's all metal and will absorb a great deal of the recoil. But 9mm is a snappier round than 38s through a 357 revolver. Not unmanagable by any stretch of the imagine but their will be more "POP". Their medium sized handgun (CZP01 or compact) is a fantastic gun. I have smaller hands and both CZs fit my hands very well. I hear very good things about Glocks as well. 45 is an interesting round. I though it would have a lot of recoil but it really doesn't. I describe it as having a heavier "thump" but lighter "SNAP". Renting guns and buying range ammo can get pretty expensive fairly quickly. You should find some friends with some different guns, buy a few boxes of ammo and ask them to take you to the range because you are interested in learning. Most gun people are very friendly and willing to take newbies to the range and to share their guns with you. Good luck. You're in for a BUNCH of fun!

Well, yeah...but seriously, acetaminophen (generic Tylenol) is the #1 cause of acute liver failure in the US. It has passed both hepatitis C and alcohol abuse in that regard-although as noted, alcohol and acetaminophen are a particularly bad combination. Read and follow label directions, as they say, and you should be fine, but don't equate 'over the counter' with 'totally safe'. Overuse it, and it'll mess you up. Public service rant off/

147 @ ~880 FPS. You could slow it down even more as there's no minimum power factor for 3-gun but at major matches you could be faced with ~100 yard pistol targets and I didn't want to be sending rounds like a mortar it's not like you're going to gain much more by going as low as reliably possible. It's super flat shooting as you can see in the photo

I’m kind of surprised no one else has mentioned this yet, but of course guns are allowed on boats. How else are you going to lose them in a boating accident?

The bar for lethal force in NJ is in theory a credible threat of risk death, disfigurement, maiming/crippling, or rape of yourself or another. Outside the home you are obligated to retreat if you can do so safely. If you cannot do so safely, or cannot do so without credibly abandoning another to such a fate, you can use lethal force in self defense. Inside your home in NJ, you have no obligation to retreat. Regardless of what happens, you will likely be prosecuted because NJ views bot you and the dead/injured guy as chattel of the state, and you must answer for harming their property. At which point they may decide they gave you permission to harm their property in the course of their property trying to harm you.

You don't need any "implied sign" to tell an intruder you don't want him or her to break in. If it's not their place and no one is there it's burglary. If someone there it's robbery. You can't shoot someone who broke your window and offers no threat. You are allowed to defend yourself in your home at any time unless the state has a must retreat law. Even then if you have no way to escape you can defend yourself. How you defend yourself is the question. If you encounter the intruder and they turn and run you can't shoot them. You can use deadly force when there is no other alternative to prevent death or serious injury to yourself or another. Everything else is in between and is dependent on the totality of the circumstances. No short answer to your question.
