They'll buy one gun and then sell it when / if life normalizes. Or maybe some will abandon the loony left? We can hope.

Easton Game and Fish Association (EGFA) right over the border. Approx 50 minutes from you. All highway except last 10 minutes. Stop at Pop's Restaurant on way the home for a tasty burger and to pick up some microbrew beers.

25 lbs and no suspension? You should sell him the Brooklyn Bridge too, while you are at it.

It's actually William Penn atop Philadelphia City Hall, not Benjamin Franklin. But the joke still works because Penn was whiter than Franklin!

From the article, a quote from Gov. Murph: "Kennedy is “independent,” he said. She “thinks for herself, acts for herself and will represent South Jersey in a way that it’s never been represented before.” 2 paragraphs later in the same article: " Like Murphy, a wealthy former Goldman Sachs executive, Kennedy had the benefit of personal largesse, to say nothing of the weight of the Kennedy family name. Her husband, former Rhode Island Rep. Patrick Kennedy, is the son of the late Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy. She is bought and paid for. NOBODY in NJ politics thinks for themselves. They are all corrupt. Anyone would be a blind fool to believe this chick, a Kennedy, is going to come in here and give a flying fuck about about us working class peasants. Last thing we need is another rich, from-out-of-state socialist to come in here and take our tax money and feed it to the socialist machine.

@AVB-AMG I wasn’t joking. That bike is 28 years old. It doesn’t look like you ever road it but still... it’s very old and the fact you got someone to give you $250 bucks for it is amazing to me.

I would recommend starting with pistol calibers. They are much easier to learn the basics of reloading on. No need for length trimming, lubing etc. Also MUCH less force required to resize a 9 vs a 3006. So it is easier to "get a feel" foe when something is wrong. When reloading if something doesn't seem right, stop and triple check your setup. Reloading is not hard, but if you make a mistake, very bad things can happen.

Well, I moved out of that sh*thole 5 years ago, but you could still fly up and down the Hudson then at or below 1100’, so don’t know why you said “you can’t do that these days”. Also, JFK jr, if I recall, didn’t have his instrument rating yet, he was working on it. Even for an experienced pilot, flying in haze with no horizon and not using your instruments can be hazardous, especially at night. I remember years ago, when flying a VFR A-Star across LI Sound from LI to Ct on a very hazy day at 2000’, having to get on my instruments constantly to maintain heading and altitude. Flying low, close to the water, you would have a visual reference. At 2000’ with that much haze, even during the day, you have no reference outside the windscreen. Please, stop with the ridiculous conspiracy theories while posting about things you have no clue.

For anyone else who was curious, here's more about the criteria for the MDA "Gun Sense Candidate" - from their own website: At a time when the NRA has scrapped its now-toxic past grades from its website, more and more candidates are actively running on gun safety platforms. Moms Demand Action volunteers have been distributing questionnaires to candidates across the country and educating them on key policies and what it means to be a Gun Sense Candidate. To date, more than 2,600 candidates have sought and received a Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction this cycle. Incumbents, challengers or open seat candidates for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, State Senate, State House, the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives are eligible. So far, there are Gun Sense Candidates in 46 states ― red, blue and purple. Criteria on the questionnaires for receiving the distinction includes a candidate’s stance on background checks and disarming domestic abusers. Criteria also includes stances on concealed carry reciprocity for federal candidates and red flag laws for state candidates. Everytown will continue to evaluate questionnaires and award the distinction to additional candidates in the coming weeks. Now, whether the candidates will feel obligated to uphold these policies once in office is anyone's guess. But, on paper anyway, sounds like they have to align with the philosophies above.

Where in NJ are you? I work sales at Shooters in Little Egg Harbor (Tuckerton). As of Sunday, we had 2 Mini-14s on the shelf, as well as some NJ legal AR rifles. $700 gets you into a S&W M&P-15. We had a few of those left Sunday night. We also had some Ruger PC Carbines available. Pm me and I can provide an inventory update tomorrow around 7pm if you want.

    1) Buy 2) Bring Back It's still pretty straightforward, the only legal gotcha that comes to mind is if the ammo is hollow point--then once you enter NJ you have to drive directly to your home or to a range.

Do you need a BCG with it? I've got a Brownells 16" MLOK upper with a pinned VG6 Gamma brake on it. Has a CH but no BCG. Can definitely let that go for cheap.

The law is pretty clear, and not what many expect for NJ. This from the jury instructions for using lethal force in self defense in your home. "A reasonable belief exists when a defendant, to protect himself/herself or a third person, was in his/her own dwelling at the time of the offense or was privileged to be thereon, and the encounter between the defendant and intruder(s) was/were sudden and unexpected, compelling the defendant to act instantly, and the defendant reasonably believed that the intruder would inflict personal injury upon the defendant or others in the dwelling, or the defendant demanded that the intruder(s) disarm, surrender or withdraw, and the intruder(s) refused to do so." This boils down to 3 possibilities: 1. You were suddenly jumped in your own home, or a home where you are an invited guest 2. You reasonably perceive a threat from the intruder (i.e. you have a reason to think they are there to hurt you - it can't be a guess - e.g. they were carrying a gun or a knife) in your own home, or a home where you are an invited guest. 3. You told them to disarm, surrender or leave and they didn't do as instructed in your own home, or a home where you are an invited guest. I have been recommended to read The Law of Self Defense: The Indispensable Guide to the Armed Citizen by Andrew Branca. I have just started it and it looks very informative so far. Also check to see when the next class by Mike Wolhfert on the topic will be - he has been doing his class online and is tailored to just NJ https://www.justifiableforcetraining.com/upcomingevents

You don't need any "implied sign" to tell an intruder you don't want him or her to break in. If it's not their place and no one is there it's burglary. If someone there it's robbery. You can't shoot someone who broke your window and offers no threat. You are allowed to defend yourself in your home at any time unless the state has a must retreat law. Even then if you have no way to escape you can defend yourself. How you defend yourself is the question. If you encounter the intruder and they turn and run you can't shoot them. You can use deadly force when there is no other alternative to prevent death or serious injury to yourself or another. Everything else is in between and is dependent on the totality of the circumstances. No short answer to your question.

He doesn't know what a LRRP is....dollars to donuts .

Not a low blow. It's preparing for the mission. I met a guy over 30 years ago. He was a Vietnam LRRP (Google that if you don't know what that is). He loved that stuff but after being wounded he was put out on disability. After a few years of bumming, he got a bug, scrapped up enough to fly to Paris, and joined the French Foreign Legion. He signed the contract, in French, although he didn't speak a word of French. Told me lots of stories but one thing sticks out. He wound up in the 2nd REP, Parachute Regiment, and in 1978 was tasked to.jump.into the Congo. The only guarantee the Legion gave him was they wouldn't be resuppulied for 2 days. What did he and his buddies do? They threw out all rations from their kit and replaced it with ammo. They knew they would survive without food for two days but they might not without ammo. Was he a warrior? No doubt. Was he a good guy ? Don't know. Haven't seen him since. Prepare for the threat and the situation.

I have a 1992 Cannondale M2000 mountain bike that has a 22 inch size aluminum frame that I am considering selling since I have replaced it with a newer hybrid bicycle with a carbon frame. At the time I purchased it new, it was the top-of-the-line mountain bike that Cannondale made back in 1992. I had it totally reconditioned and serviced several years ago at a local bike shop, and had them replace the existing tires/tubes, brakes, chain and seat. I also have two extra inner tubes for the tires. I have not yet researched what the current market value is for this bike, but assume that due to the current high demand for bicycles, even an older, high-quality mountain bike that has been well maintained, should command a higher price than it would have even one year ago. If this is a bike that might interest you send me a PM and your cash purchase offer. Thanks.
