2 pointsJust a reminder for anyone considering the purchase of a gun safe. Unless Murphy has changed it, there is no sales tax on a gun safe. Adios, Pizza Bob

1 pointHello hello! Happy to join the forum. Just received my Firearms ID and Permits. I'll admit...I am super confused where to start. Where to go. I've done some research but now need to find the right places to go to 1. learn (most important) 2. Buy (find decent pricing) 3.Get back to shooting at a range. Interested in handgun target work. I grew up in the Prairies shooting rifles on the farm...but that was a long time ago. And in a place that had very little in the way of laws...haha. Any guidance would be awesome. Also, from the looks of things on this forum, it seems like a really great spot for support! So thank you everyone for putting the effort in to grow the community. -P

1 pointI declared war on the ones around my house. I got exactly 4 tomatoes this year! Trapped 10 in 12 days. Took them all to a park. Told them the next time they might not be so lucky cause I know this guy from Texas...

1 pointFunny, I was thinking the same thing other day, been seeing more than usual darting out on streets in front of me. Other day was driving on 287 by me it's 3 lanes each side with my son and saw squirrel sitting in middle of highway on a Jersey barrier, I said to my son that's a suicide mission, he said that so far so good, I asked what do you mean, he said its made it halfway already. I was just hoping it wouldn't dart out startle someone and cause a accident. If I'm on a small road doing 20 mph I'll avoid it, on 287 it's on it's own.

1 pointIf I was going to go for one, I would go 10.5". If you are going to go short......go short.
-
1 pointIts has to be over 26" anyway. What ever gets you closest to that number would be my choice. 10.5 with a pinned break to get you at 12" barrel would be my choice

1 pointTotally agree. I feel the same way about the steel M-16 20rd waffles (blocked at 15, that I had to throw away ,thank you gov'nah beaverpuss asshole) that I bought for a Vietnam era M-16 S/A clone I built for a retired USAF Lt Colonel. 10 rd plastic mags in an M-16 look retarded.

1 pointMet Billy Prempeh last night. Really great guy with some great ideas and some fresh energy in the New Jersey Republican Party. He is going to face an up hill battle going against Bill Pascrell, but I urge everyone to check him out. He may be what the 9th district needs. https://billy2020nj.com/issues/

-
1 pointI agree. All of mine are 20rd with the exception of a few 15rd and one 5rd from when I was a subject of NJ. The 20rd mags just look right.

1 point@Dave Archibald For whatever reason, I am not able to view the pix on imgur. I believe you have my cell#, could you send me a few pix. Honestly, I need another 22lr rifle like I need a hole in the head, but, it's a Marlin, and that is a fantastic price.

1 pointNot to nit pick but It's not an absentee ballot. You have to request that. We are being forced to mail in our votes. None of us requested these mail in ballots. With the various stories of fraud associates with mail in voting you have cause to be concerned. My wife said we received ours yesterday. I haven't even looked at it yet.

0 pointsToms River Police Department It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of newly retired K-9 Officer Gunnar. K-9 Gunnar #9020 unexpectedly but, peacefully passed away at home today. K-9 Gunnar was given an honorable send-off by ambulance from his residence to the veterinarian. During his final patrol, he was surrounded by family and escorted by members of our K-9 unit. Upon arrival at the veterinarian, K-9 Gunnar was embraced by numerous K-9 handlers and their partners from surrounding jurisdictions to show their support for K-9 Gunnar, his handler Officer Buhowski and his family, as well as our department. K-9 Gunnar started his career on January 28th, 2013 in the Toms River Canine Academy, class number 7 where he became a certified patrol canine. On September 9th, 2013 he attended the Toms River Canine Academy where he became a certified narcotics canine. While in training, K-9 Gunnar was one of the top dogs of the class and easily excelled at any task he was asked to do. K-9 Gunnar will be remembered for his numerous narcotics finds and his assistance in keeping officers safe while on the road. K-9 Gunnar retired in January of 2020. K-9 Handlers form inseparable bonds with their partners and this unexpected passing is difficult for Officer Buhowski and his family. Our hearts are with all of them.
