I got an email from them a few days ago saying they’re sending me a free gift. Hmmm. Ok. got it today. Ammo can embossed with target sports on the side. Ok. Cool. But. Then i opened it. Ts patch. Federal sticker. Ts sticker. Blackhawk dual mag pouch 10 rds of hornady 165 gr gmx. With a letter of thank you for ordering from them over the years. Now there’s a company that’s showing customer appreciation. Although they pretty much have nothing in stock. That company will retain my business when this shitshow subsides. thank you Target sports USA

I ordered an el-cheapo brake for him that clearly isn't a flash hider. I have a bunch of guys willing to pin and weld it for me for free on my "local gun forum". (I have raised a lot of pro 2A hell in front of our politicians in Analpolis (sic), so I have many allies in Marylandistan)

It's too bad you don't have some WW2 era 22lr ammo. I really get a kick when I run an en bloc full of 1940 something ammo through my Garand. Hearing the sounds, feeling the recoil, smelling the smells, it actually gives me chills.

So, are you going to just gently molest that rifle in a dimly lit room, or can we expect a range report any time soon.

I dont trust the whole thing. My wife has a ballot in her maiden name and her moms address as well as one with her current name and address. 2 different counties.

To be clear, everything about NJ is a joke. NJ is the model for the rest of the world of what not to do.

yes an no, if reread what I said, we only tap on mostly domestic sources but Europe has plenty of manufacturers that supply NATO who we don't import. It's there..... We've got Bosnian ammo, Polish, and now Lithuanian supplying ammo to NATO and they have capacity given the procurement requirement schedule for NATO. it's there..... not only that but I want to see quotes where they say, 'I tell them to remember this when you vote' lol

Midlength gas tubes are 9.5" long so with a 10.5" barrel, I believe that's too close. The gas port would be almost at the muzzle threads. Do you really want a gas block that close to the muzzle?

From the article: Interesting choice for a quote source? I rarely hear him mentioned on this forum.

I just popped on there, are they nuts? You have to commit to a 2 hour block of time, and there's only two time slots during the 2 days of the week (Wed and Fri): 2-4 and 5-7. You have to show up one hour early of your reservation to check in.. On Sat and Sun, there's two time slots, 9-11 and 12:30 - 2:30. Each time slot has a max of 16 reservations per slot, so once they hit 16, they're closed. Forget about showing up and waiting for the next open booth. To renew membership, you also have to reserve that time slot, which are different than shooting slots... What a C.F.

Preaching to the Choir. PA PICS takes 15 minutes on a bad day. NJ NICS takes days.

You can open up all you want. You can’t make people show up. I expect that they own a cruise line isn’t helping their numbers. I can’t see spending $1k a day minimum for my family of three to just wait in line all day. Or you can upgrade to the waiting less package for double. But still expect to spend most of your day in line.

Hi everyone, First, The person I found for $750 is a psychiatrist. I spoke to her on the phone two weeks ago and she gave me that price. I called her 2 days ago and left a message but she hasn't responded. I'll let everyone know. I've now found a second psychiatrist that will provide the same services for roughly $1,200. So that might be my best bet if I don't hear back from the $750 psych. Dr. Pirelli's team seemed very nice on the phone but they quoted $2,500, which seems a bit high given the others I've found. Regarding the request from the detective, I was told, "it will help if you get the signed letter from a medical doctor. Just needs to be a signed letter stating you are not suffering from a disability that would interfere with or handicap you in the handling of firearms. Needs to be a medical doctor or psychologist licensed in New Jersey." And lastly, I don't live on this forum. I have other things going on. Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings by not responding sooner. Thanks everyone for their help. I've very much appreciated all of the feedback/input.

In NJ we play the "evil features" game - you can have 1 evil feature on a semi auto rifle w/ detachable mag. On ARs that one is the Pistol grip. Any stock your cousin-in-law will get will need to be pinned, or use a fixed stock (like a Magpul Fixed Carbine stock). Bayonet lug (if using an A2 front site/gas block) will need to be ground off, and a muzzle brake/compensator will have to be pinned/welded on. A threaded barrel is one of the evil features.

Even dreaded NAPPEN said long gun can be hanging out your front window, although not advised, unloaded with FID and legally you're safe. Handgun is different though.

False. I know the answer to all of this, but for those that may ask....I own a pickup. There is no trunk. If there is no trunk, it must be out of the drivers reach, but that is for handguns. Long guns do not have these restrictions.

Ok. So, explain this to me... • Why do you need to freely change muzzle devices? • What advantage does this offer in the “real world”? • Do you actually have different devices for different applications? • If so, do you routinely swap them out? • If so, do you follow the manufacturers recommended installation method - to include timing/shims/rock set/etc...? • How many times have you actually used this “feature”? Other than testing different devices, or someone that is trying different suppressors, I don’t know anyone that actually swaps muzzle devices on a regular basis. I have a device I like and that’s it. I have never once said, “damn, I wish I had a different muzzle device today....” The advantage of the short barrel is to have the short barrel. One advantage for having an “Other” is the ability to use a flash hider instead of a brake or compensator. IMO, pinning my preferred device (Surefire Warcomp) to a shorter barrel and losing the ability so “freely swap” muzzle devices - something that isn’t really an advantage and I would never do anyway - is a no brainer. Pin the Warcomp and have a shorter overall barrel. But maybe I am missing something.... Now, if you said I prefer 12.5” because the ballistics of a 12.5” barrel are superior when compared to a 10.5”, I would agree 100%.

If I was going to go for one, I would go 10.5". If you are going to go short......go short.

Last night I was able to acquire a set of Fuzzy Farrant grips. I imagine not many of you know who that was, but Google will provide the answer. I bring that up because it got me thinking about how I knew about Fuzzy Farrant and who taught me. You may or may not remember this thread... ...but the support and good thoughts garnered from the board after posting it will always be remembered. It was, indeed, Leo who introduced me to the story of Fuzzy Farrant and the grips he made. I haven't had any contact with Leo since my trip to see him last October. I had been through the whole dementia thing with both my mother and father and I just couldn't bring myself to go back - selfishly preferring to remember him as I knew him best. And then Covid happened and there was no way I could have seen him even had I wanted to. I did monitor what the progress of the virus was with respect to our veteran's homes, and the facility where Leo was housed fared pretty well. So thinking of him I e-mailed Scott (from the original post) to see about Leo's status. I'm sad to report that my buddy Leo passed away in May of this year. It brings me solace to know that he is finally at peace, but I will truly miss the Leo I once knew. Adios, Pizza Bob
