I am getting ready to submit a Form 1 to manufacture a silencer. I have been told that you can buy a kit and the whole process is very fast compared to a Form 4. If it goes well I may submit another to SBR an existing gun.

Thanks for the add, Brand new to Firearms. 56 now. Fired a few in the 80s but now that I moved on from last hobby(drag racing) very interested in starting a new hobby. At the stage of just received FID and awaiting Purchase permit. FID only took 30 days. Applied for PP after October 1st and if I read correctly it will be electronic form. Decided my first purchase will be a P226 Legion or possibly MK25. So far struggling to find one. Sill have time until permit comes in. I'm hopeful. Well hope the group don't mind questions, I'm a heavy researcher prior to big decisions. Thanks for reading

Assuming it is an issue with sizing, the worst would be a jam. A new gun shouldn’t fire out-of-battery (I.e. not locked up) so a case head separation would be unlikely

Assuming you aren't experiencing other quality-control issues with the ammo (squibs, overpressure signs like flattened or pierced primers, split cases) I think the ammo would be fine to shoot in the other gun. Match guns are expected to have tighter chamber tolerances, so use that ammo up in the other gun, find something else that works better in the Walther.

Not at all.... the problem with dry media...for me was the associated dust... wet doesn't have that issue. Winter time i let em dry by the woodstove...summer out on the deck in the sun..easy peasy

Not sure what you're point is... a law is a law, and a crime is breaking a law.. Other than a difference is philosophical opinion what does it being "victimless" have to do with the reality that he broke a law? Speeding is a victimless crime

Except that isn’t the scenario portrayed in the article. Your interpretation is 180 degrees off from what was said. Not saying the article is right.. it’s from the guys lawyer, on a pro-gun site after all... but yours is completely opposite. How many dolts who want illegal suppressors take their shipment to Napa? Turn them into police? Try to cancel their order via online service? All of that is easily verified.

Guy wants a suppressor Suppressors are legal in some states on forms and tax stamps Guy doesnt want to move to a free state, do the paperwork pay the fee and wait. Guy tries to be slick playing a word game to get his toys... Guy gets pinched...cause he's a dope... Guy gets what he deserves as you play stupid games you win stupid prizes...like silver braclets ... Don't be this guy or make him some kinda martyr for the 2A - he's a dolt. Can you argue its a victimless crime? Sure...however its still a crime till the law changes...work to change the law.

We didn't have an ace in the hole. SCOTUS Chief Roberts is a puppet of the left because they have dirt on him or he doesn't want to rock the boat and upset the DC country club. We're going to have Justice Barrett to nullify his compromised a$$. We will carry in NJ hopefully within 4 years. Then you can all stop complaining and do something productive.

Hands down the G34 is the best gun Glock makes. I have 3 of them - One I carried on duty for the last 18 years and is my primary training gun. One shoots comps. And one has a red dot and a SF light and lives in a safe next to my bed. Buy with confidence.

You can get them clean without pins, you just need the right stuff. Dawn is a degreaser, it doesn't really excell when it comes to crap baked into a primer pocket. Lemi shine is supposed to be good, apparently acidic, to aid in dissolving crap off the cases dish soap really can't work on. I still use pins though, I'd rather set the thing to go for an hour and come back to sparkling cases. A media separator makes short work of things.

I do not like the off center cant that can be seen.... Once fired the round may enter the rifling off center axis...if so, it could cause fliers and accuracy issues.

I agree at a high level this sounded like someone who tried to pull a fast one and got busted. What is interesting is the details of the story (or details we have been told) are easily verifiable and either lend credibility or completely incriminate him. If he was truly pulling a fast one why go with such a binary story? Even if the events of his story are true the timing could still discredit him. How long between when he received and turned in the shipments? Was it right away or was it after he had an idea the Feds were on to him?

This. If NJ if forced to become a shall issue state (after years legal battles), I believe NJ will make the CCW process so onerous and expensive that, once again, only a select group of citizens will have access to it, leaving most of us with nothing. I want the right to CCW, but cannot afford it if that "right" costs me thousands a year between licensing and training and insurance...You just know there will be a huge insurance requirement.

Here is a link to a video about a guy that is being investigated for buying diesel filters as suppressors. He bought them as diesel filters, go figure. His hobby is working on diesel trucks, the channel is Truck Master. Big Brother is watching. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=270sLN5WL2I

The problem is that NJ will likely attempt to delay delay delay with laws to create restrictions, fees, and where you can carry. I'm trying to remain optimistic.

Well, an 80% lower is missing the FCG pocket. This is missing a single hole for the bullet to exit, which is predrilled/dimpled. Its why the atf years ago said they are illegal. Many solvent traps out there are legal. They have individual core baffles that have no dimples. But they cost as much as the real thing. This is why you dont screw around with NFA items, its very unclear what is and isn't allowed through ownership of unfinished parts. There is a intent and construct clause similar to our awb ban in nj. Just like owning full auto m16 parts... is it legal? Maybe? Most belive its the hole in the reciever that makes one a machine gun, but you can still get one to dangerously go full auto on slam fires.

Guy wants his freedoms. Suppressors are illegal in some unjust states and tax stamps are BS Guy shouldn't have to move to a free state (he lives in the US of A), shouldn't have to do the paperwork or pay any fee Guy is foolish because he cannot get past the "gotcha" goons Guy's life gets destroyed since he obviously isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Guy gets much more than he deserves because we live in an upside down world (too bad his name isn't Biden) I agree, Don't be this guy, his life is ruined. It is much better to comply in a police state and a post-Democratic Republic. He will put on those bracelets and stay in jail, unlike the real criminals and the pathetic justice system that get released. I do see your point though, and he and I and you must all try to comply to the letter and spirit of the law.

Not sure of your point here. Are you saying that its somehow less of a victim-less crime if its a federal level infringement as opposed to a state level infringement?

I went to Tech Ops on Thursday (10/22) afternoon. My A4 is the 9mm 10.5" barrel. I wanted black but it came in gray - which must be a new color. So an extra $100... It looks nice though. Submitted the background check info on their computer. Hopefully I'll be actually picking it up and bringing it home next week. There's a few things I still need to do: get some ammo, a decent case and cleaning kit. At the same time, I'm looking to find a beginner firearms class. Safety and basic info on a semi auto. I want to learn how to safely handle the gun and to dismantle and assemble the gun for cleaning purposes primarily, but also to be familiar with the workings. Then some shooting instruction. Once I get that under my belt, I'll feel pretty confident about using and maintaining the gun. Did I miss anything? Anybody have any experience with taking courses at the Tactical Training Center in Flemington? They're pretty close, but they don't seem to have many classes scheduled... Thanks for your help!

"Nobody can hurt my feelings, I have extremely thick skin. But his childish attacks get old because he's either pissed he didn't think of what I post, or extremely jealous of what I've achieved, and he hasn't. You can decide which one it is. What you've achieved? Did I miss something like you've walked on the moon? I'm sure you've achieved something but I don't remember you mentioning anything someone would be jealous about. I'm rarely, if ever, wrong. Just because he and you don't understand what I post, and it goes over your collective heads, doesn't make me wrong. You always used to blame everyone's reading comprehension. Rarely, if ever, wrong? Go back to the quote @USRifle30Cal posted. Insecurity?" Lmao.... just...wow...

Nick — pictures but don’t send it back till I see it we could always run it through a lee factory crimp die if it will help — that should iron out any issues as long as it’s not over crimped

Oh, good. Life is so much better with the law requiring that P2P's be issued in 30 days or less, so I expect NJ will follow this with equal diligence.

Not that confusing in my eyes... fired round that you have to manually eject is along the lines of a malfunction (talking about semi-autos). So, the rifle is not ready to fire at that time... when in most circumstances, it should be (you pull the trigger on a semi-auto, fired case is ejected/new round is chambered). Unless you train to the point that you’d likely be wearing out that bolt tail quick/fast/in a hurry, you are going to be shooting it unfolded 99.9% of the time. That means the subsequent rounds will go off without cycling the action. Where are you going to default to? All the YouTube videos showing it does work folded are nice, but what happens when you are amped up, don’t unfold the gun, and treat it as a malfunction? Bolt is locked up, charging handle isn’t moving... not something I’d want to be diagnosing under stress. It is a lot easier to perform that task when you have a camera recording (which can edit out mistakes), and nothing is being fired back at you. I rather chamber a round from Jump Street knowing the gun will fire until empty than maybe fire folded, unfold, and possibly not cycle the action... leaving a spent case in the chamber. Gun isn’t going to go off when you need it to after that point. Consistency is a very nice thing to have in your corner. Grab the gun, try moving the selector to safe... it doesn’t. Obviously, the hammer is down and nothing is in the chamber. Chamber a round, either you are ready to fire or you are putting on the safety. And the biggest part... no odd quirks to consider. Besides, it isn’t what I’m using to shoot from the driver’s seat. Having it folded and getting into the fight isn’t the biggest concern for why I have it (it sits in my truck at some work locations where long guns are not present; or if I was ever off duty, and something along the lines of an active shooter occurred). If it were a big enough concern, it would be a pistol that fires 100% from the folding orientation (my AK-P... for example). I don’t see the negatives outweighing the positives, especially when not needing the shorter profile... and that doesn’t even get into the $270 price tag.

Ok, I know there was a thread a while ago on this but figured I'd start a new one. Let's see 'em! I have the 92G Langdon Tactical, M9A3 FDE, Wilson Combat 92G, Wilson Combat Compact, 92FS Inox with Silver controls, another 92FS Inox with black controls, A 92FS with OD Green frame, a 92FS in Sniper Gray, and a 8040 Cougar NRA edition. Not shown is a 92S Surplus Italian police model.

Ok, got another unique Beretta - I call it the "Papi Greco" gun. If you've seen the move "Two Guns", this is what I think Papi would have used. Found this at my local FFL's months ago and finally talked him into selling it. Yes, I know it's a bbq gun but I like my Berettas and this is just too cool. Gold and silver plated throughout with obvious carry wear, and it's filthy inside from being shot. It's a Centurian. The back story is this came out of a police impound in Arizona after being recovered during a drug raid when it was found in a field, supposedly after being dropped during a chase. Seems (so I'm told) the police are required to sell recovered guns unless it can be proven they were used in a crime. My FFL regularly buys from impounds and this showed up. Story could be completely made up but that's what I got.

I went to the gun store this afternoon intending to pick up the full sized 92X de-cocker model. The guy behind the counter told me it was sold in the morning. I ended up walking out the door with this: Sig P320 X5 Legion

Close up view of my ODGreen frame version 92FS. I added the Beretta grips and skeletonized hammer (and the G spring). I like the look of the grips but they are a bit "fat" for my hands. What I really need to do is get a set of the Wilson Combat thin grips for it.

Here's mine, sporting the spiffy wood grips that were a Christmas present from my wife a couple of years ago. I replaced the main spring with a lighter one and added a dot of fluorescent yellow paint to the front sight. It's one of my favorite pistols.

Aww shucks, I'm going to keep up the Beretta submissions. 92FS Compact Inox. I went overboard with the INOX upgrades and replaced every available piece with an INOX replacement from Italy. I then added on 92SB Compact grips with very custom modification to the inner surface so they fit over the larger 92FS hammer pin. I have a stainless magazine floor plate for the total look but it didn't make it out for this photo.

It's kinda hard to get excited about a muzzle break. I use the BCM Mod 0 and it is fine.
