Breaking — FBI arrests left-wing Anarchist leader John Sullivan for inciting riot in Capitol siege…

Federal law allows an FFL to refuse to sell a firearm to anyone for any reason. Suing the dealer will go nowhere. That said, if this store wants to have stupid policies, that's their loss.

Hmm, well, good luck with that.

Looking for some decent 7.62x51 or .308. Nothing steel cased and no reloads. Have ammo I could trade. Have 5.56, .300blk, 9mm and .45acp. If your interested let me know and maybe we can work something out. I’m in the ocean Monmouth county area.

Apparently, the market didn't like Joe's Socialist give-away plan last night.

I think our chances of a national AWB would be closer to 100% than it currently is.

You're late to the party. Retailers are essentially empty. Primers won't be around for a LONG time (other than through private sales) and when you do find them they will be costly. Powder may be available sooner and prices will be very inflated, but it won't be meaningful unless you have a primer to make it go boom. Bullet heads are still available at moderately increased prices, so now wouldn't be a bad time to get a few thousand as something to get started. Brass prices are inflated but there's still some (new) out there. You can get previously fired brass from private sellers (even people here) but prices could vary. IMO you should find whatever you can get at a reasonable price and stock up. At least you'll have brass and bullets handy if primers and powder come back.

You're not serious? The issue isn't NJ. The issue is everywhere. Yes, you can ship it to NJ. No, it's not widely available, not now and likely not for a long time.

Federal law requires FFL's no longer in business forward their records to ATF in Martinsburg, WV within 30 days. The penalty for noncompliance can range up to $250,000 and/or 5 years in prison.

Once a NTN is issued, the FBI has 3 business days to approve. The dealer needs that number before the clock starts ticking. I recently transferred a firearm to someone after 5 total days, and NICS denied him on day 8. Oops. LOL. They should have been quicker.

When I left NJ, the State did not want the COEs, SAW book, or ammo log book, so they were destroyed.

maybe if gun owners acted more like the left, we'd have few problems? it's a thought

Federal law requires that out of state purchases comply with your state's laws. Some sellers like Cabelas and some Dick's comply with NJ law by providing NJ state forms (usually electronically) and requirements. Some dealers can't be bothered or are afraid to be in non-compliance.

I was more concerned that I wasn't allowed to purchase a long gun in person because I'm from NJ.

Save your spent brass when you do find some to shoot.

Just to be clear, does this mean you will trade one round of 22lr for one round of 12ga?

I guess it would be in poor taste for me to mention how happy I am with all my new 30 rd p-mags so I won't. Also won't mention the 20 & 30 mags for my CX4 & 92.

It makes plenty sense - several people use mag pouches, etc. 20 round mags would get lost inside pouches where 30 round mags would fit perfectly.

All handguns sold in NJ on a P2P are kept in a database by NJSP. Records for long guns are kept by NJ FFL and I imagine are turned over to the state when the FFL goes out of business. States with registration laws record handgun and maybe long gun sales. The Federal government has no database on gun sales. If a LE agency requests a trace on a gun, ATF goes to the manufacturer or importer and finds the distributor the gun was originally sent to. The distributor supplies the FFL the gun was sent to. The FFL supplies the person who bought the gun. Joe bought the gun from the FFL and sold it to Charlie. As long as they can find the new owner this system works. There are also older inexpensive guns that were manufactured before 1968 that have no serial number. No way to trace that gun at all. There are several instances where the trace stops. Some examples: 1. Someone buys a gun from someone in a "free" state. No paperwork, no registration. Like buying a hammer in many states. The seller doesn't remember who he sold the gun to. 2. Inherited guns that were bought out of state in a "free" state and willed to someone. I mention this because as long as the heir is not a prohibited person this is one of the rare exceptions someone (the heir) can take possession of a handgun or long gun in another state with no FFL involved. This is legal under Federal and NJ law. There are others but I think I gave you the idea.

A fleeing Taliban terrorist, desperate for water, was plodding through the Afghan desert when he saw something far off in the distance. Hoping to find water, he hurried toward the mirage, only to find a very frail little old Jewish man standing at a small makeshift display rack - selling ties. The Taliban terrorist asked, "Do you have water?” The Jewish man replied, "I have no water. Would you like to buy a tie? They are only $5." The Taliban shouted hysterically, "Idiot Infidel! I do not need such an over-priced western adornment - I spit on your ties. I need water!” "Sorry, I have none - just ties - pure silk - and only $5." "Pahh! A curse on your ties, I should wrap one around your scrawny little neck and choke the life out of you, but I must conserve my energy and find water!" "Okay," said the little old Jewish man, “it does not matter that you do not want to buy a tie from me or that you hate me, threaten my life and call me infidel. I will show you that I am bigger than any of that. If you continue over that hill to the east for about two miles, you will find a restaurant. It has the finest food and all the ice-cold water you need...Go In Peace! Several hours later, he crawled back, almost dead and gasped, "They won't let me in without a tie!”

Nice. Is Muuurrrrmaidman a member here? Probably not, because he sounds knowledgeable of the law. Good for him. Hmmmm. Should I bring my Triple Honcho to NJ and CCW it?
