Let us not forget the sacrifices our brave men and women made by defending our country, past and present. There are still many of us who support and appreciate the sacrifices you and your families have made for us all. We have reached another chapter in our country but the story is not over. Thank you all and God Bless America

For sale is a very lightly used Beretta 92 FS Inox manufactured in Accokeek, MD. The pistol has about 500 rounds through it since new and has been meticulously cared for. It comes with a Plano hard case and one 10 round magazine. The pistol is a “Ghost” model because it has all stainless parts from the factory. The magazine release is currently on the right side for left handed shooters, but is reversible for right handed shooters. I do not have the factory case or owners manual for the pistol. All New Jersey laws must be followed. Your FFL must be willing to hold the pistol for you if your waiting on permits or NICS. I would prefer to use GJ Arms in Bayville for the transfer, but I’m willing to travel within Ocean county to your FFL at a mutually agreeable time. The buyer is responsible for any transfer fees. The pistol must be paid for before it is turned over to the transferring FFL. The price is $625.00 in cash. Please ask if you need anymore information. The first posted “I’ll take it” establishes you as the purchaser. Thank you.

I've been an avid wreck diver for many years, and this past weekend, I had the opportunity to dive on the oldest intact naval warship in North America. The radeau "Land Tortoise" was built in 1758 by the British during the French and Indian wars...so it predates our Navy, and it predates the US. The radeau was a larger version of the bateaux, which were simple flat bottom boats build by the hundreds as the war raged along Lake Champlain and Lake George. Bateaux mostly carried troops, could be used as small gun platforms, and were light enough to be transported overland. The radeau was a different beast, 50 feet long, 18 feet wide, propelled by 26 oars, with ports for 7 cannon. The model in the photo shows what it looked like; the angular, sloping sides were intended to deflect cannon fire. It was common to sink the bateaux when winter approached, to prevent them from falling into enemy hands, or being crushed when the lakes froze. They'd fill them with rocks and sink them close to shore, then they would be re-floated in the spring. The remains of a few bateaux that weren't recovered can still be found in the shallows of lake George. The sinking of the Land Tortoise on Oct 22, 1758--just two days after it was commissioned--didn't work out as well. That huge flat bottom caused the sinking boat to hydroplane, and it came to rest nearly a mile offshore, in 109 feet of water. It was finally located in 1990--the guy who found it briefly ran a SCUBA shop in Mercer county, where I had met him--but he soon decided his real interest was in hunting shipwrecks. There is a short video linked on this page that shows what it looks like now: 265-year-old sunken warship Diving the site is by permit only, and generally groups have to be accompanied by a guide, though that was waived for our group. Visibility, unfortunately, was poor due to an algae bloom in the lake, so it was quite dark on the bottom and visibility with even the largest lights was perhaps 10 feet. Since the radeau is a national historic landmark, divers aren't allowed to get close--there is literally a chain suspended on posts around the entire perimeter of the wreck, about 5' out from the hull, and divers have to stay outside that perimeter. It is also pretty cold on the bottom...43-44F yesterday, and those mid-August temperatures are the warmest it ever gets at that depth. That's good for the wreck, though...the cold and low oxygen levels have done an incredible job of preserving the wreck. It is almost perfectly intact, there is virtually no growth on it. it looks like it could have been sunk earlier this year. It was a real treat to get to see it.

I'm waiting for the new lcp max prices to settle down and grab one for my pocket carry but haven't seenany in stores near me yet.The lcp2 is my current carry but the max will almost dbl the mag cap at12 rds. Also keeping an eye out for a Plainfeild m1 but again pricing and scarcity on that but no hurry. Also had some fun this weekend with my son taking stock of our combined parts and realized we can pc together at least 1 maybe two ARs lol. Just need to do some parts trading but that's future fun. He actually broke down and spent a grand on ammo, its only twice what it used to be, I'm still well stocked and can wait it out.

After nearly two years of no guns or ammo purchases, I recently picked up a Beretta 1301 Tactical shotgun (as noted in another thread). And last night I bought some 00 buckshot from SG Ammo at $170 for a 250 round case (plus tax, no shipping charge), which is a decent price compared to what I've seen in the recent past.

Ant, I despise this "chapter" and I pray it will end quickly! I sit back and watch what is happening to my country, the one I swore an oath to when I joined the US Navy, and I am totally depressed to a point where others notice the change! I keep telling myself we WILL take our country back! What I fear is the damage that is being done now.....We went from being respected and even feared to being the laughing stock of the world!

This advice is not one of your noob questions. Shoot your AR @ a outdoor range its just more rewarding. You will be able to track your progress shooting @ 25yds 50 yds 100 yds 150 yds 200 yds over time. Shooting a AR indoors is just a waste of good ammo, This is JMHO
