4 pointsIllinois number can’t be right. I guess the same people who counted that also count their votes in Chicago.

2 pointsSince you are alone do you have an alarm system that doesn't need constant power? Many have a battery backup to power it, but that only lasts so long, since they have to power the whole system. I have a Hubitat Smart Home hub which does not require internet to work. Most of the sensors are battery operated and last several months to a year on a cheap coin battery and are just stick on so easy to install. The hub itself would need to be powered, but only uses up to 2W so could put that on a UPS that is charged by your genny once a day. Has anyone considered getting those "free" solar installs? If you could add battery backup to those it would be worth it. For water heating, I've seen people use black PVC pipes on the roofs to heat their pools. I would think this could also be useful in an emergency.

1 pointThat's a TON of checks and guns... wonder how many were actually approved? Also wonder, how many multiple purchases were done on a single check? ...."FBI figures show the exact number of 2021 NICS checks to be 38,876,673. KGW8 reported that nearly 39.7 million NICS checks were conducted in 2020, shattering the previous record of 27.5 million, set in 2016. This means the more 38.8 million NICS checks conducted in 2021 represent the second-most for any year ever. The figure of 38.8 million+ is not a clear measurement of the number of guns sold in 2021, and this is because NICS checks are conducted on the buyers not the guns. Moreover would-be buyer, after passing a background check, may purchase multiple guns while in the gun store. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/01/04/fbi-conducted-over-38-8-million-gun-background-checks-in-2021/

1 pointYes, the Insurance company did total the Honda, got a pretty good payout. We got "lucky" and found a 22 Subaru Outback.

1 pointOK makes sense. I'll just suggest that you consider losing the curb and keeping a flush floor entry.. Can be a trip hazard and impede any walking aides such as a rolling walker, just for future considerations. Of course that usually means a custom mud/tile job vs a drop in fiberglass type.
