3 pointsI hope Murph goes BALLS DEEP and BANS everything. That way we can EASILY SUE SUE SUE with open and shut victories, as we are now already on the offensive and his BS term will end SOON.
-
3 pointsYep. These people are incorrigible. More lawsuits will be needed. It's a good time to make 2A donations....
-
3 pointsWell we will start doing the qualifying and use of force in a week or so. More details to follow. https://gunforhire.com/nj-ccw-permit/

2 pointsI'm a New Jersey Notary Public, I wouldn't worry about the raised seal. It is not required and all the other notaries I work with just use a regular ink stamp. Never had a problem personally, including with documents that were going before a judge for approval. In fact the one person who I worked with who was still using the raised letter seal had it rejected once because the judge apparently said it wasn't fully legible as it had to overlap with printed text on document to fit. On the CCW form specifically they leave like no room for it. A bad judge will find a way to be a PITA if they really want to. If anyone is in the Morris County area and needs a Notary after hours weekdays, I am available. Just private message me

2 pointsAs Dan Schmutter said on your show. A superior court judge who gets one of these applications across his desk will be in a bind. I am perfectly happy to make them squirm after denying us our rights for decades. In my view they have to have been deliberately ignorant to fail to understand the plain language in the 2nd Amendment to keep denying people over and over again, no matter how many times it was explained in legal briefs. I'd be just fine if they were thrown in jail for breaking their oath to uphold the Constitution. The 2nd Amendment didn't change today. It was just made undeniably clear that JN has been illegal all along. Any further denying of our rights is inexcusable.

2 pointsI posted this elsewhere, but I think it got lost. I would advise patience here. This is brand new. NY’s justifiable need clause was cast out as unconstitutional. Great. That doesn’t necessarily mean that NJ’s was as well. While the meat of the laws in both states are similar, the details are different. it may require a similar SCOTUS case with NJ, or it may not. As of now, nothing in NJ has changed and I imagine the AG and DCJ are determining the next steps for our state. Don’t rush. We have all been patient for years. A few more weeks to let the dust settle and see what’s on the horizon won’t hurt. Remember, a denial is forever. It would be a huge waste of time and money to get denied now, and have to deal with that at every step going forward, when you are so close. Like the man said, “Patience is a virtue.”

2 pointsYou know we will now reactivate the three cases! 2 carry and 1 15 round mag! Biden, Murphy, Hochul, and Adams are deeply unhappy and concerned today. Too bad, all I ever wanted for me and my family is the same level of protection that we pay for them to have 24/7!

1 pointI believe these restrictions can be addressed by legal action (s), assuming that there will be several. It is extremely frustrating that democrats appear to purposefully disregard laws in favor of unconstitutional restrictions they think they can at least temporarily get away with due to the lengthy times it takes for these things to move through the courts. The Pittsburgh mayor and city council did the same thing passing legislation limiting/banning certain rifles, that gwent against preemption laws in Pennsylvania.

1 pointI dont see how/why SP642 requires the references to be present at the Notary. Notary is about the applicant.
-
1 pointWhat kind of bullshit is that? "Asked of 3 references (each who must have known you for at least 3 years): "I am personally acquainted with _______ , the applicant named on page one of this application. I have known Him/Her for ______ the past years to be a person of good moral character and behavior and who is capable of exercising self control. I have reviewed this application and I believe that the answers given by the applicant to the questions set forth in this application are complete, true and correct. So three references have to attest to and sign off on ALL the questions in the entire application?? That shit can't be legal in light of the Bruen decision.

1 pointNever thought I would have a reason to visit the Conceal Carry section. SO happy I now do!!

1 pointNJ has officially dropped "justifiable need" requirement and all Police Chiefs should have been notified. GREAT way to start the weekend!!! https://www.anjrpc.org/page/NJDropsJustifiableNeed?fbclid=IwAR2ckKtGbnTW9u6Hujw51bgfl0R5ehu0MzgmlW6CnuvrY0JbFh-9ysWB78w&fs=e&s=cl

1 pointWell isn't that what we said or assumed....? They will make it virtually impossible to exercise this 'right'..... It's all such a joke. EVERYTHING they state is directly against the law abiding.....yet NOTHING they state STOPS criminals at all..... they always want to bring sheep to the slaughter... f'ing morons. They infer that law abiding vetted citizens, that pose zero threat, are THE PROBLEM ! NOT the criminals..... Cannot wait to get to a state that respects a citizens right to self defense.....
-
1 pointJust take the nra basic pistol class. The instructor will probably have range time qualifications set up after the class.

1 pointNever fear. Murphy's not done yet. Murphy wants to ban guns at N.J. hospitals, public transit, bars, and more after Supreme Court ruling - nj.com
-
1 pointi didnt' read the whole thing....but it kinda hit me last night when i was talking about this ruling to a friend. technically speaking, this could topple the whole house of cards in states like nj. it leaves things wide open for challenges on pretty much everything. even the so-called awb here. i mean.....if ya read the statutes(i know most have) what it really comes down to, is that all firearms in nj are illegal with exceptions and exemptions. based on that with this ruling, it should be super easy at this point to get back to normal capacity mags, lose the list of banned firearms, etc. overall, they did the same with this that the roe decision did....they took the power and put it where it belongs. constitutionally, no state really ever had the authority to regulate firearms or accessories, just as constitutionally the feds never had the authority to regulate baby-murder.
-
1 pointJTW, thanks so much for starting this thread. It is quite helpful to discuss this as we all struggle to understand the new order in NJ that none of us ever could have imagined.
-
1 pointIf anyone recalls, back in '16, Lt Col Russel, Cmdr Picatinny Arsenal was denied a CCW by Oceanport police chief. I hope he is one of the first to make an anti 2A chief eat crow.

1 pointI don’t know about the registration (p2p), but I DO believe the wording is there for voiding the AWB. I am not a lawyer or legal scholar, just a knuckle dragging engineer..
-
1 pointhere i go jumping the gun. so....with the wording of this, and mention of the 14th, could that not also strike down nj's registration scheme(the p2p)? and nj's so-called assault weapon ban?
-
1 pointHonestly I’m more excited about mag and AW bans being thrown out than I am CCW. Let me have normal mags, stocks and unpinned barrels!
-
1 pointOh I'm very keen on the AWB and mag limits going away.

1 pointBad guys of all sizes and shapes carry and conceal large full-size guns in basketball shorts and Tshirts regularly. Don’t overthink it. I’m short and rounder than I’d like with a little bit of a muffintop. I carry a G19 w/RDS and TLR7 in a Tenicor Sagax Lux AIWB holster on an Ares Gear Aegis belt daily and can conceal it with a tshirt with no issue. I’ll also wear untucked button up shirts sometimes. Quality holster and a QUALITY BELT* that is designed to carry a gun make a huge impact on how comfortable and easy this is. * Everyone always worries about the holster, the belt is the most important part IMO. A great gunbelt will make even a mediocre holster work well. Ammo choices is subjective and personal. Just make sure you carry legal ammo that you know functions in your firearm and you have access to well established data on its effectiveness. Finally, carry a gun you shoot well that fires a round you believe in. It’s supposed to be comforting, not always comfortable to carry a firearm. Don’t go for the smallest or lightest, go for most capable. I can think of little worse than facing the worst day of my life with a firearm I don’t shoot well, has inferior ammo and capacity, all because it was easier or slightly more comfortable.

1 pointFRom the press conference. In court: Oh we aren't suppressing demand, nobody actually wants one. now: We expect demand to be about 200,000 applications.
-
1 pointStop your orgasms. Just remember. It aint over till the fat lady sings. Also remember. We should all be constitutional carry. Its a win. But a far cry from the constitution as written if we still have to jump through hoops and fill out alot of paperwork to have our God given right for the pursuit of happiness
-
1 pointLook, I get the hurry up and wait idea here. However, the Ball IS rolling. Again, let's keep the thread on topic this is about the process. You guys have the platform in the SCOTUS thread to discuss the legality and issues that lie there. The warning has been laid out here that a denial is still entirely possible... its up to the individual at this point to make the decision if it's worth the risk. I for one, want to start putting together an application, find a person or place to get me qualified so the day I hear good news I'm walking in the door to the PD. Better sooner than later we build up an easy process for everyone here to reference so we can streamline ccw applicants. For now, lets keep the thread clear so we can update with actual CCW resources as they become available and info from people applying.
-
1 pointThank you. I’m a week or so we will know clearer. I hope. For now if anyone says that know what you need or ask for money to start the process. It’s a scam. ant.

1 pointJM Custom Kydex https://www.jmcustomkydex.com /thread Seriously. I wear a holster everyday all day. I have boxes of unused holsters for all the big name manufacturers. For non-appendix IWB or for concealable OWB (non—duty), there is nothing no one making a better holster than JMCK. A VP9 w/TLR7 isn’t common, so you will have a wait (I think 9-11 weeks is their reported time) but it will be worth it.
-
1 pointI have bought a few different holsters over the years. Some for competition and some for carry. The most comfortable IWB style I find is the leather/kydex hybrid holsters. I have a couple of Comp-tac MTAC holsters which are great but do not accommodate a light. I recently got a Cross Breed LD2.0 for my Glock 19 with TLR-1HL which carries very nicely too, but they don't list one for a VP9. I am less in favor of the Bravo Concealment holsters as the sweat guard is very narrow and I find the rear sight digs into me too much.

1 pointCue the usual wailing, but Supreme Court gun ruling won’t unleash new wave of violence (yahoo.com) "Our gun violence problems are driven by many factors — including, yes, the prevalence of guns. It’s not the biggest cause, though. That would be young men (and some not-so-young ones, too) who have not learned impulse control or how to handle their disputes and disappointments without resorting to violence. They violate a plethora of gun laws, ones that should be fully and vigorously enforced before we try broad new restrictions. You just don’t see a lot of gang members and hotheads taking the time and effort to apply for a license-to-carry."

1 pointThe statutes and Admin Code tell you what you need. I will be scrutinizing them and getting my app in ASAP. Making assumptions based on what other States require is folly.
