2 pointsThere's no gray area for PA/FL reciprocity. If you are a FL resident, have a FL W concealed carry, it is honored in PA. If you have a non-resident FL W concealed carry, it is NOT honored by PA.

1 pointI think your referring to making the fingerprinting appointment? im referring to the actual paper application for permit to carry. On the paper application, top right, is a spot for municipal code.
-
1 pointTry Wayne county. https://waynecountypa.gov/509/License-to-Carry-Information-Application

1 pointYes. I used 4-digit code 1418 and the detective at my PD said everything looks correct. I also determined that it was the four digit code via instructions on the GFH website
-
1 pointBerks county is 2A friendly and they issue the same day, IIRC. Utah and FL are no good for PA now because PA changed to requiring resident permits.
-
1 pointI would try either Dauphin or Berks County. Ultimately, you are looking for a rural county that has not been "infected" by democrats. The disgraced AG you are thinking of is Kathleen Keene, who is currently serving a prison sentence. Unfortunately, she was the person who accepted a non-resident permit from NH to be used in PA for a very short time. A lot of NJ folks took advantage of that while they could. Shapiro put a stop to that as soon as he took office.
-
1 pointIf you go on the county websites for PA they will usually say if they are accepting non resident applications. I know that Bucks county says it will not accept them. The closet one I found near the border of PA and NJ that will accept non resident applications is Wayne county. They have an online application. You fill out and they will contact you to come in and get the permit at another time. Or you can drop off in person. I would call ahead though. https://waynecountypa.gov/509/License-to-Carry-Information-Application

1 pointThat stinks. There has been some ongoing discussion about this exact topic in another thread (see below). Delco was one county that seemed to be ok. Regarding UT/FL, my understanding is that they are only valid in PA if you have a resident permit, not a non-resident permit. I believe the disgraced AG woman, who's name currently escapes me, was responsible for this change.

1 pointThey say bring 100 rounds, none of their instructors has a 100 round requirement to qualify.
-
1 pointUnless you are willing to hire an attorney and go to the mattresses - you are going to do nothing and just wait like the rest of us.
-
1 pointI'm going to do this as well since my side of the family resides mostly in PA. I grew up there and have most of my friends still residing there. I'll try Bucks County first, since it's the closest.

1 pointNJ won't pass any new laws until after the midterms... they aren't just waiting to see what happens with NYs new laws. Not that it should matter to voters since we already know their intent.

1 pointHeads up. Manchester says 1519 on the website, but it is actually 1518. There is a mistake on the website(per Manchester PD)

1 pointHow does the 60 day law work, hopefully not the same as the 30 day law

1 pointWow! Handgun functions even when dripping wet! Mom fatally shot home intruder to defend kids, she says (ky3.com)
-
1 pointIt does - according to this you can even do it online https://delcopa.gov/sheriff/firearmslicenses.html

1 pointA restriction placed on a carry permit has in the past limited an Indivudal to time and place, the permit would also list what firearms the permit qualifies you to carry. The restriction marked, would indicate you are only allowed to carry the specific firearm when working, such as an armed gaurd. Not sure how that applies today with the change in permits being "unrestricted" to time and place... it may be an error by the courts to list none, in which case you're not limited in any sense. I would be very careful with such an error when the firearms you qualified with are listed by serial number on your permit... they did that for a reason, regardless of which box was checked at the top.

1 pointMoney order cashed yesterday. Hopefully I’ll have a permit soon. Burlington county Got packet from PD 7/5. Qualified 7/6 at rtsp. Prints done and app turned in 7/7. Police sat on for two weeks. Detective called references and employer 8/3. Sent to superior court 8/5. Forwarded to county prosecutor 8/15. Money order cashed 8/17. Will update when necessary. Hopefully sooner than later.

1 pointNot according to the statute, if "none" is checked for restrictions then listing that qualified guns is superfluous. Its just the administrative code that says you must carry what you qualify with, either way its confusing and ambiguous, and unfortunately people are going to be hauled into court for this. d. Issuance by Superior Court; fee. If the application has been approved by the chief police officer or the superintendent, as the case may be, the applicant shall forthwith present it to the Superior Court of the county in which the applicant resides, or to the Superior Court in any county where he intends to carry a handgun, in the case of a nonresident or employee of an armored car company. The court shall issue the permit to the applicant if, but only if, it is satisfied that the applicant is a person of good character who is not subject to any of the disabilities set forth in subsection c. of N.J.S.2C:58-3, that he is thoroughly familiar with the safe handling and use of handguns, and that he has a justifiable need to carry a handgun in accordance with the provisions of subsection c. of this section. The court may at its discretion issue a limited-type permit which would restrict the applicant as to the types of handguns he may carry and where and for what purposes the handguns may be carried. At the time of issuance, the applicant shall pay to the county clerk of the county where the permit was issued a permit fee of $20

1 pointCongrats!! Two questions 1. are you restricted on the gun you can carry (meaning only those you qualified with) 2. do you know when in the process your money order was cashed?

1 pointJust picked mine up from JCPD. First one to get it in Hudson County (and Jersey City). 5 others were also approved. 06/29: Application packet picked up from JCPD & assigned C. Case # 07/05: IdentoGo prints done 07/15: Complete application submitted to JCPD 07/21: JCPD Chief signed off and submitted to Hudson Superior Court 08/03: Prosecutor had "no objection" and Judge signed off 08/17: JCPD received permit and called me to sign back and pick it up No court appearance required. Back side lists the three pistols I qualified with My PD received the permit today from the court yet it was approved and signed by Judge on 08/03/2022. They owe me 2 weeks lmao

1 pointI was referring to the OP, who has his FPID. Do we not consistently argue about gun laws because they end up punishing primarily everyone over those "bad actors". The guy went through all the legal loopholes to obtain a firearm, and then gets stopped by these practices? I believe gunforhire will rent if you already have a pistol of your own present, or pay a 25 dollar fee for an RO to essentially evaluate and monitor you.
