3 pointsFederal law - the final transfer of a handgun from FFL to you has to occur in your state of residence. Long guns can be purchased at FFL in another state as long as the laws of BOTH the "foreign" state and your state of residency are followed.

2 pointsI live in a rural area at the junction of Somerset, Hunterdon and Mercer Counties where there are many small and medium size family farms. My qual was done on a farm with an NRA complaint range constructed and owned by a friend. It is my friends private range not open to the public. He chooses to remain anonymous. The instructor held a 3 hour class on safety and the use of legal force before I started. The qual was based somewhat upon the RPO requirement by a certified NRA instructor who is also certified to do the police qual. It was done sitting, standing, two hand, single hand, right hand and left hand. You can find many instructors who work for ranges that are listed on the NJ state police website who could come out to your private range if you have one . I wouldn't call the qual easy but I shot over 90% with a Glock 26.

2 pointsHence "by no fault of hunters". If rifles were an option, I'm sure the 30-30 would have been popular in NJ. Most deer are taken inside 100 yds and the 30-30 was tailor made for that. I'm kinda surprised at how many large states are shotgun only.

2 pointsglad homeowner got off. little surprised too. shots were slow. first hit badguy in front. second hit in side. third hit in back. that last one was the one i was worried about

1 pointWe have hunted pigs with ARs for many years. I have never hunted game animals with one, though.

1 pointMaybe it's just me, but I have not found any of the used guns at Cabela's (at least in Hamburg) to be "cheap".

1 pointJust a little info on these Mini Splits... You can buy the entire kit, and you can do it your self if you are mechanically inclined. They even have the freon installed and you wont need more unless it is over like 50 ft away. I got a Daikin and did mine myself. It wasnt bad at all. I got an 18k unit(cool only) that does my whole upstairs for 1800.00. That was a couple of years ago.

1 pointCould you provide a timeline of your application process?
-
1 pointSo it's not a zoom meeting anymore. Do you mind emailing this to the strike force team? They're aware of the delays by the gloucester county courts and trying to gather as much info as possible about it to help us get it changed.

1 pointNJ isn't exactly a lever gun kinda state. The deer hunting culture here (by no fault of hunters) is too entrenched in shotguns.

1 pointAll depends on skin color and immigration status. Caucasian American male- The state will try to put you away for life. POC and/or third world illegal alien- DA lets them plead out to a lesser charge and the judge imposes a sentence on the low end of guide lines.

1 pointI put a Console Vault in my truck. Not cheap, but's it's heavy duty, well built, lifetime warranty & American Made. Also completely out of sight. Plenty of room to put other items in there as well, phone, smaller laptop/tablet, etc... I haven't decided what I'm putting in my wife's car yet. They make one for it, but I don't think she'll let me install it. She already complains it doesn't have enough storage compartments in the front. I'll probably use a portable lock box with a cable through it and wrapped around seat track. https://www.consolevault.com/

1 pointYou guys are funny. Some of you make grand summations and state emphatically that people are "going down" based on short video clips. In this case the homeowner is likely skating away free and clear from any criminal (and probably civil) charges. A couple of clicks to information on the web will tell you that the daughter called 911 and was on the phone with dispatch WHILE the dude was trying to break in. She is heard saying “Dad, is he trying to kill me?”. As the guy starts ramming the door the father tells him to go away and tells him that he's armed. Dude ignores this and keeps trying to break in. After the door breaks OPEN, homeowner shoots 3 times. A County grand jury voted 8-1 against indicting the homeowner on charges related to the killing, citing the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law. So the big "WHAT IF" it happened in NJ?? Who knows, but SO WHAT???? If you have guns to defend you/your family then that's a situation where you use one. If you think about lawsuits at that point you or your family will likely get hurt.

1 pointill let my grandfather know when i see him in the next life. He wasn't worried about the purist of today he was more interested in putting food on the table back then . The days of wooden ships and iron men .

1 pointThe cost may not be prohibitive for you or me. However, 2A is a right, not a privilege. Not to mention, some people have an increased need for self-protection. Especially lower income people that have the misfortune of living in high crime areas. Perhaps you and I WANT to exercise our rights but there are plenty that NEED to exercise their right. When the government makes the exercise of a right expensive to do and lengthy (the application) process, that's a violation of our rights. And we all know that the cost, requirements, and application time are active deterrents, and that does make it a violation of our constitutional rights.

1 pointNothing. It’s nonsense. They have to do something so you feel your money was well spent. There is zero real world application to making you stuff mags on the clock. It’s theater.
