Shenanigans. I have been carrying a gun daily for 20 years now. I used to conceal a G35 with a magwell and X300U all year (IWB at 4:00) - in summer with nothing more that shorts and a T shirt and I’m not a big guy. It’s all about choices in clothing, belts, and holsters. Now I primarily carry a G19 with optic and light AIWB all day, every day, and can conceal it under nothing more than t-shirt with no issues. The G19, IMO, is probably the perfect sized carry gun. I also have a G48 MOS with optic and light that I have started carrying more often. So far its been great. It may take over as the perfect carry choice for me - but realistically, there is really no appreciable difference between the G19 and the G48 in regards to how it feels to carry and how easy it is conceal. At the end of the day, bad guys carry full-size guns all the time. There is no reason, outside of a lack of experience/knowledge or plain laziness, why good guys can’t do the same thing. Stop overthinking things and make smart choices. It’s really quite simple. Carry guns should be measured against these 5 criteria. In order of most to least important: • Reliability • Caliber • Personal ability/How well you shoot it • Capacity • Overall size Find a reliable firearm from a reputable manufacturer, chambered in an effective self-defense caliber, that you shoot well enough to bet your life on, and has the max capacity you are legally allowed to carry. Then figure out how to conceal it.

I'm surprised anyone here wears Levi. Very anti 2nd amendment company. Anyway I wear Diamond Gusset jeans. Very well made and in the USA! If you ride motorcycles they're really a must have. They even offer a reinforced motorcycle jean. Very heavy material.

Sounds like Monmouth County changed the Judge responsible for reviewing carry permit applications. Not sure what this means but I think it at least suggests that the Judge who was allegedly refusing to advance applications isn't part of the process anymore. Not confirmed.

Nothing would satisfy me more than for you to end all of the speculation and prove us wrong with what we believe is going on here. You being on the money with your assumptions would be a win for all of us. I truly hope you are right, and I am wrong in this instance. Looking forward to your update about your friends permit.

I will admit I am wrong when I see my friends, who will be getting it any day. Who has confirmed this was not for a work permit? I haven’t seen anything posted from the actual person of the order saying so. I don’t drink the Kool-Aid, I just don’t buy into all the comments/rumors on here. Never seen anything like it. We are all a bunch of yentas. We should only be posting facts. Too much speculation.

And keep in mind, you're replacing existing so much of the heavy lifting has already been done in terms of electric circuit, disconnect box, wall penetration, outdoor platform. You just have to remove the old unit and place the new indoor mounting bracket to line up with the existing wall penetration. And get it level of course.

I think our friend Jim Jones is drinking the kool-aid... but I guess that's pretty obvious

The mini split units are cheap ($1-3k for 18,000 btu). Seville, Mr. Cool, Fujitsu, Gree. Requires no special tools except for hooking up the refrigerant pipes, and doing pressure test and evac. You can hire an HVAC guy to do that (be prepared to call a lot of companies, I've found about half won't touch it and half of those that will are expensive... Keep calling, they are out there) Or you can go with one of the Mr Cool true DIY, which comes with charged and pressurized line set and other components. Cost a bit more, but an HVAC contractor is going to cost too.

It has been verified/confirmed that the 2 confirmed cases of this attached order are not work related permits. These are regular civilians who applied for their permit to carry. One in Ocean and one in monmouth . This is not speculation.

I would say there is a 1% chance that this is happening for new permit holders in ocean county. This is employment related. My friend should have his ocean county permit back in the next week or so. As soon as he gets it back I will post it and then we will know if this is something to get our panties in a bunch over. I find this forum helpful, but there is so much fake news being spread on here to get people worked up it’s insane!

You're only going to carry a gun that is comfortable for you to carry on a regular basis. Go smaller than your choices. Try a Sig P365, SA Hellcat, S&W Shield, etc. Choose something that you'll shoot infrequently, but carry a lot.

Check out Duluth Trading Company I've had many of their ballroom jeans last many years. Been a few years since I bought new jeans, hopefully still just as good. Their cargo shorts and pants are pretty good. https://www.duluthtrading.com/mens-duluthflex-ballroom-relaxed-fit-jeans-20207.html?dwvar_20207_color=WDN&cgid=mens-pants-jeans#feature=pantm2&start=1&cgid=mens-pants-jeans

Seeing that it's now SHALL issue, there should be no reason to go to the courts at all. We need to support Jay Factor's Lawsuit #087269 fighting against the "requirement" of a case-by-case review in Superior Court. Judges will no longer have the ability to question applicants on an UNCONSTITUTIONAL CASE-BY-CASE basis post-Bruen SCOTUS decision of June 23, 2022. Judges will no longer be able to instruct their staff to DELAY applications, slow-walking them through a 50+ year old overburdened and antique RED-TAPE series of built-in DELAYS. CNJFO has a matching funds page - the org is matching up to $5000 to help fund Jay Factor's fight to make this better for all of us. https://www.cnjfo.com/page-18138

Consider that Prior to Bruen, the courts were the place where permits were denied. That was the states way to prevent and intimidate applicants from applying. They can no longer prevent the issuance, but they sure can intimidate applicants by the process alone.. PDs were adding similar kinds of "meetings" for FPIDs with additional criteria to dissuade people from applying. Our courts are swamped and under staffed, by judges etc... the fact they haven't rubber stamped the process tells you they want to continue having a finger on the pulse of who gets permits and who doesn't. Two of the criteria they are responsible for over seeing is already conducted at the administrative level.. the courts only responsibility is to add restrictions to the permit, which post Bruen should only indicate sensitivity places... and IMO that should be legislatively done because Bruen requires objective, and not a judge's subjective opinion. Case in point, everyone's permits should contain the same exact restrictions, otherwise there is no objectivity to them. So it does seem to continue to be part of a process to dissuade people from applying.

u r far too kind or too naive to believe that its not the judges fault. they knew it was coming and even if they didnt. we are well over 60 past this new ruling, they couldve easily revised their process of approving the permits. judges do not need to be involved anymore since there is no case to be presented to them and they are issuing them anywway. they could easily excuse themselves from it and let the PDs handle it. so many things can be done to get this nonesense resolved and get people their permits. instead they are fucking around and wasting time scheduling in person meetings and adding some illegal restrictions that goes against statue and code and law all together because "they can"
