There may be a workaround. When recently I tried to schedule in northern NJ, within the next 7 days in a 25 mile radius there were no appointments in NJ, but over 1600 at those NY Identigos that were within the radius. So I reluctantly booked one in NY. When I got the confirmation email, I immediately clicked the 'reschedule' link, searched around my zip code once more, and-Surprise!-the NJ appointments were now visible. My nearest IdentoGo had appointments any time I wanted, as soon as the next day. So I moved my appointment there, and the out-of-state surcharge disappeared. I was printed Thursday. I've not yet heard if this has worked for anyone else, or if I just got lucky somehow. If this is a general hack, I recommend it to anyone struggling to get prints done.

noon model updates.. its shifting westward.. it no longer will cut across FL instead it is staying in the gulf but by staying in the gulf it is invoking a STALL. All 3 models have it in the gulf for AT LEAST 3 days before exiting. Also, the models are saying its a Cat 3/4 for sure. One one hand its a gift its not cutting across central Florida but if it stalls in the gulf the rain will be outrageous for 3 days non stop. good news for NJ it appears to be fizzing out by the time it goes over us October 2nd. However, i have no idea how much rain it could still bring with it. remember some of our worst flooding came from former 'canes now just "storms". "storm" "hurricane" "major hurricane"

not yet, the post in this thread likely was triggered due to an email blast from anjrpc https://www.anjrpc.org/page/NJToProtectCriminalsFROMCarryPermitHolders

I don't think anyone has ever said you should have a permit in your hand within 60 days. If you read the statute (N.J.S.A. 2C:58-4), you submit your application to the local chief of police (or local NJSP barracks if you don't have a PD or are from out of State). The investigation by that agency must be complete and your application denied for cause or forwarded to the County Superior Court for approval within 60 days. Some say the 60 day clock starts when you submit the application to the agency, some say the clock starts once your fingerprint results are delivered to the agency and your application is truly complete. Once it arrives at the court, most are provided to the County Prosecutor's Office for review. Once the PO has no objection, the court typically issues the permit. If there are any hiccups, the judge can hold a hearing. There is a JAD court directive #06-19 (not a law or reg) that judges should review permit to carry applications submitted at least once every 30 days. A PO should state any objections they have within 14 days, and a permit should be issued or denied with 30 days. In theory, the process should take no more than 90 days, start to finish, notwithstanding "extraordinary circumstances." While I am sure the "system" suspected this as coming, they weren't officially notified until June 24, 2022. As a result, the system, from the local PD to the Judge, had previously dealt with a small handful of permit applications - mostly from armored car guards and security officers who presented with a letter of need. I don't think it is unreasonable for these agencies to develop new systems to handle the influx of permit applications flooding the system. Be patient, calling and complaining is not going to get them processed any quicker - they know what they need to do.

Winner! CCW may as well stand for Concealed Car Weapon. Just a little better than the old laws allowing for travel in the car only for range trips.

NJ and other states are going to have to prove that these "sensitive places" laws have historical president during the time of the founding and the passing of the Second Amendment. Time, History and Tradition is the standard per Bruen.

I got a call back from a detective at the FIU. They received my permit from the court on 9/16 and sent it out via inter-office mail (aka the pony express) the same day. Hopefully it won't get lost. The detective was very helpful and we chatted about the whole mess for a while. He gave me his personal cell number if I run into any more problems. The FIU only has 7 staff to cover the whole State and they are being inundated. I feel sorry for them because they are gun guys and the senior management are just not providing the manpower to handle the workload. My app was one of the first 10 that came through their office so I'm a bit of a trail blazer. He did say that there are definitely definitely things in the works to get PCH into FARS.

The Identogo website today 8/23/22 gave me 5 options based on my location 4 in NJ, one in Staten Island. 0 appointments available in the next 7 days at all 5 locations. Changed zip to PA and the 5 options given me each had close to 200 available appointments in the next 7 days at each location. Things that make you go hmmmm.

Did anybody look at the worksheet bottom of the page 2. If there is a secondary grip it's made to be shot with two hands and it's considered to be shouldered fired. Wouldn't it be considered a SBR than?
