I'll be doing a south jerz shoot at Stafford Forge WMA in a few weeks. Probably the front end of July.

I'd bet money it will get tossed if it gets that high. Just a matter of if and when.

what do we think the chances of this getting tossed are? seems to be a lot of injunction action going on

I was simply quoting what Dan Schmutter said on the Gun for Hire Podcast - he explained Explicit permission vs Implied. Your line of thinking goes along with the state's which is incorrect, dangerous, and unconstitutional. The state tried to put forth that the default rule was actually to DENY permission to carry, unless explicitly granted, which Judge Bumb found to be unconstitutional. If you are carrying in a private property owner's residence, and they somehow find out that you are carrying, they can revoke your permission... in which case you can leave or put the gun away and re-enter if they allow. If you refuse to leave, then you can be charged with trespassing.

Wish I could make this one…we will be coming back to NJ for a long weekend in October. Maybe we can set up another shoot! I’d love to see everyone.

These are typically commercial ranges and they don't want any Tom, Dick or (Dirty) Harry messing about with holsters. Pretty much all these ranges will offer some kind of holster draw class which will then allow you to use a holster on their range. This policy does not conflict with concealed carry permits. They are happy for you to carry your gun, just don't draw it. I'm guessing even that rule would be waived if an urgent situation arose. I can understand the policy. I have heard of plenty of qualification courses of fire that have been used to obtain a carry permit, but had no element of safe holster use included. Having a permit to carry in a holster does not equate to proof of any level of knowledge or ability on safe use of a holster.
