You know we will now reactivate the three cases! 2 carry and 1 15 round mag! Biden, Murphy, Hochul, and Adams are deeply unhappy and concerned today. Too bad, all I ever wanted for me and my family is the same level of protection that we pay for them to have 24/7!

I dropped off my packet at NJSP Washington Station this afternoon. The Sgt. at the front desk looked at everything in it and was clearly referring to a checklist as he did so. He said it looked complete and would pass it to their firearms person. He even volunteered her email address in case I had any questions to ask her. This is what I did: 3 x application form (SP642 6/28/2022) filled in on my PC and printed. My references signed each copy. I signed each copy in front on a notary at the UPS store he and notarized them. 1 x consent for mental health records search (SP066 7/23/2019) Which I signed and one of my references witnessed. The UPS store guy also did my photos. He knew what it was for as soon as I said I needed 4 pictures. He said he had done several already this week, but I was the first person to ask for 1.5"x1.5" rather than 2"x2". He made a mental note to help future customers. (I also was asked questions by the other staff at the store about how to get a gun and a permit - one was a young expecting mother) I got a money order for $50 from the post office and made it out to "Treasurer, State of New Jersey" - I have been advised by the NJSP trooper that handled my (failed) app in 2017 that the wording on the MO has to be exactly that. Anything else has been bounced before I did quals with a certified instructor that has been doing RPO quals for years. He is recognized by NJSP as being certified for that. He signed off that I did the HQC1 and HNCQ. He did not put his NRA certification number on the form so I got it from him and added it myself. I provided a photocopy of my drivers license and my certificate of naturalization. I provided a photocopy of the PtPP that was executed when I acquired each handgun I qualified with. I went to Identogo in Easton, PA this morning as there were no appointments available on the web site in NJ at all. I had to pay extra for out of state, but I was not prepared to wait. I booked the appt on Tuesday and went today (Thursday). I included the receipt in my packet. Before I handed it all in, I made sure I had a copy of everything for my records. Now the wait begins.

The Book Report Students at a local school were assigned to read two books, 'Titanic' & 'My Life' by Bill Clinton. One student turned in the following book report, with the proposition that they were nearly identical stories! His cool professor gave him an A+ for this report. Titanic: cost - $29.99 Clinton: cost - $29.99 Titanic: Over 3 hours to read Clinton: Over 3 hours to read Titanic: The story of Jack and Rose, their forbidden love, and subsequent catastrophe. Clinton: The story of Bill and Monica, their forbidden love, and subsequent catastrophe. Titanic: Jack is a starving artist. Clinton: Bill is a bullshit artist. Titanic: In one scene, Jack enjoys a good cigar. Clinton: Ditto for Bill. Titanic: During the ordeal, Rose's dress gets ruined. Clinton: Ditto for Monica. Titanic: Jack teaches Rose to spit. Clinton: Let's not go there. Titanic: Rose gets to keep her jewelry Clinton: Monica is forced to return her gifts. Titanic: Rose remembers Jack for the rest of her life. Clinton: Clinton remembers Monica for the rest of his life. Titanic: Rose goes down on a vessel full of seamen. Clinton: Monica...ooh, let's not go there, either. Titanic: Jack surrenders to an icy death. Clinton: Bill goes home to Hilary - basically the same thing.

As has been stated, the reason for the denial is important. I was denied in 2018, purely on the grounds of lack of justifiable need. My criminal and mental health records were fine. My references said I was fine. The judge mentioned the TRO my ex-wife arranged for me during our divorce, which was dismissed a week after it was issued, and he said that was not a concern. He only denied me for lack of JN. Since then I have been approved for an FID change of address, multiple handgun purchase permits, and OGAM exemption and all the NICS checks that go along with executing those handgun permits, as well a several long guns. Lack of JN is not an offense. Requiring JN was actually an offense. Declaring my denial has never caused any issues, including renewing my UT permit and getting a change of address on my NH one. Similarly, it wasn't an issue getting my PA LTCF. Stop letting NJ get into your head and making you assume the worst. Stockholm is a long, long way from here.

I assure you all, there is no hidden agenda on my end. I am not qualifying/certifying anyone for CCW and I’m not associated with any school, range, or training company. I don’t want anyone’s money or business. That being said, as part of my job I have been teaching folks that carry guns for a living for 20 years. From absolute newbs to proficient gunfighters it has been part of my job to qualify them and train them to win a gunfight and protect others. I have also been taught by some of the absolute best in the world in a variety of topics relating to firearms and teaching adults new things. When I recognize nonsense, I will tell you all that’s what it is. Take it or leave it - I have no skin in the game. I absolutely hate when bad TTPs or info gets passed off as “valid”. So, whether it’s relying on a trench knife in one hand with a 1911 in the other for home defense, the idea that using a WML is useless, or stuffing mags on the clock as a valid stress training technique - when I hear bullshit, I’m going to throw a flag. Be Good Stay Safe Get Training We all need to be assets not liabilities. Vet your instructors and vet those that post on the internet. Be confident in your abilities and act accordingly.

This is some of the worst advice I have ever seen on this forum. Money and time spent on a high stakes life saving defensive skill with abilities that degrade quickly without regular sustainment training is never, ever a waste. It’s not enough to just meet the minimum. We should always strive to improve. Always be a student. Be good Stay safe Get training Be an asset, not a liability.

Just got the call, picking up my permit shortly. Submitted 7/20, mental health check received 8/1, sent out to Morristown Superior Court 8/2, and it was just delivered to the PD today, 8/12.

What’s wrong with you? Show me on then doll where the bad man hurt you. Not a single person in this thread said they thought it was correct to require mandatory training and qualifications prior to being awarded a CCW permit. However, this is where we are and this is the process we have in place. ”My brother in law is a cripple in a wheelchair” “What do all you macho guys say about that?” You sound like a jerk. Completely unnecessary and useless comment that will not win you friends or influence people. One of the most competent shooters I know is a paraplegic confined to a wheelchair after being shot in Fallujah. He trains constantly and has developed workarounds for all of his TTPs that you and I take for granted. I was in a CQB course with him in Ohio. He was an absolute stud and was always an asset.

I’m an outlaw. This is my confession. I will willfully break NJ Law, and I am unrepentant! Specifically, I will violate the upcoming ban on single-use plastic bags. Like all dog owners, I recycle grocery store plastic bags exactly once. The upcoming ban on bags was going to pose a problem. My preferred solution of letting my dog poop on Murphy’s lawn a couple of times a day is impractical, due to distance. Instead, I ordered a year’s supply of grocery-store plastic bags from out-of-state. I wanted to get them in ahead of the May 4 ban, since our AG’s office has already demonstrated they have nothing better to do than send threatening letters to out-of-state vendors demanding they stop selling otherwise legal products to NJ residents. Fortunately, my contraband slipped past the postal inspectors and made it to my house. Apparently, the Post Office is not yet employing polyethylene-sniffing dogs. The State Police have not yet descended on my home to make an example of me. After May 4, I can grab a handful of bags to take with me whenever I go to the store, then bring them home and relegate them to dog doodie. I like to think that when future history books write of significant acts of civil disobedience, mine will be included. Perhaps in a new Top 5 list! · The Sons of Liberty boarding ships and throwing chests of tea into Boston Harbor · Mohandas Gandhi’s Salt March · Rosa Parks’ refusal to move to the back of the bus · Student protester blocking a tank column at Tiananmen Square · 10X’s purchase of plastic bags for dog waste ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ!

MY GREAT WEEKEND! A balding, white haired man from Sherman Oaks in California , walked into a jewelry store in a local mall this past Friday evening with a beautiful much younger gal at his side. He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend. The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $5,000 ring. The man said, 'No, I'd like to see something more special.' At that statement, the jeweler went to his special stock and brought another ring over. 'Here's a stunning ring at only $40,000' the jeweler said. The lady's eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement. The old man seeing this said, 'We'll take it.' The jeweler asked how payment would be made and the man stated, 'by check. I know you need to make sure my check is good, so I'll write it now and you can call the bank Monday to verify the funds and I'll pick up the ring Monday afternoon.' On Monday morning, the jeweler angrily phoned the old man and said 'There was only $25 in your account.' 'I know, said the old man, 'But let me tell you about MY GREAT WEEKEND!'

Ok here is my timeline. 1)Did shooters course on 7/3. Very easy 30 rounds, 10 at 5 yards, 10 at 7.5 yards, 10 at 10 yards. I was there for about an hour. $90 2) filled out 3 separate notarized applications at Bank of America.(you need an account) 3) Dropped off to Manchester PD on 7/5. Everyone in there was really excellent and helpful. Michael Lynch is the Investigator that handles these. Great guy 4)they give you additional reference documents that need to be filled out by your references on the application. They hand them to you to avoid it being held up in the mail. I had them completed that day and also dropped back off on 7/5 5) I got fingerprinted in the fairness hills PA identogo because they allowed walkins. This was also done on 7/5. Important:the 60 day clock doesn’t start ticking until you are fingerprinted. 6)7/18 I received an email from Manchester PD stating it was sent to the superior court. 7) received phone call today to pick it up 8/16. I picked it up from the station and they were extremely helpful again. Important. It states no restrictions but the judge also gives you a letter saying the ONLY guns you can carry are the ones listed on the card. Restrictions are regarding if it was for work and you could only carry while working etc. other tip. I gave them 2” passport photos and they cut them to size. It wasn’t a problem. i think that is everything. Happy to answer any questions.

We are really overthinking this qualification thing. It's really simple. NJAC 13:45-2.4 sets the standard. There are three ways to qualify. I'll list them out of order... (1) take a course that's the same as the one police take at the academy - that's not available so we can't do this one. (3) Pass a test on the state's laws about use of force by an instructor of the police academy or NRA instructor. - there is no such course so we can't do this one. (2) Shoot a qualifier and submit your scores with a NRA or other instructor. This is the only one we can use since it's the only one that exists so we will do this one. And there is no specific required course of fire. So go shoot something that seems reasonable and submit your scores. It will be hard for the state to reject any course of fire since they have no idea what's acceptable and what isn't. Make yours look kind of like everyone else's and the permit approvers will just assume it's the correct one. If someone does complain, ask for the standard they are using to decide that - there isn't one. Living in NJ has made us so afraid of making a mistake that we've filled 20 pages of what-ifs on this topic.

I posted this elsewhere, but I think it got lost. I would advise patience here. This is brand new. NY’s justifiable need clause was cast out as unconstitutional. Great. That doesn’t necessarily mean that NJ’s was as well. While the meat of the laws in both states are similar, the details are different. it may require a similar SCOTUS case with NJ, or it may not. As of now, nothing in NJ has changed and I imagine the AG and DCJ are determining the next steps for our state. Don’t rush. We have all been patient for years. A few more weeks to let the dust settle and see what’s on the horizon won’t hurt. Remember, a denial is forever. It would be a huge waste of time and money to get denied now, and have to deal with that at every step going forward, when you are so close. Like the man said, “Patience is a virtue.”

The students post a flag for every veteran KIA since 9/11. 7,057 flags! They always seek donations for the cost to replace and damaged flags, to which I send a check every year. It is a very humbling display. Southern Regional High School Rt 9 Manahawkin. This is done every year, sadly new flags are continuously added.

Just wondering. Are there folks out there that would like to go to a reloading class. Just the basics. Like set up powder charges. How to set up your dies. So when the next plandemic happens you’re not paying triple what you should be. Ive been blessed over the years to know people that have this knowledge. And i have acquired this knowledge from them. Just curious. How many of yall would be interested. Free of charge for the first class. If you are really in shooting and know its a sustainable multi year thing you’ll do. Would you be interested in our multitude years of experience that we can transfer to the next generation? Let me know.

There is no NJ statute that defines a knife by size. If you carry a knife every day you just need an explainable lawful purpose. There is no limit to what lawful purpose you use, so long is it is not self defense. My knife is used to open boxes frequently and there is tape residue on it which could be proof if it is ever challenged. Your knife has a seat belt cutting blade at the back of the handle - perfectly lawful in case of emergency.

Courtesy of my email. I was at the mall yesterday and walked into the book store. I asked if they had Trump's new book on how to deport illegal aliens. The clerk said "Get the fuck out of here and don't come back!". And I replied "Yes, that's the one. Do you have it in paperback?".

This is total nonsense. 1) Police have to qualify with every gun they plan on carrying - both on and off duty. There is a “Significantly Similar” clause in the AG Directive, but a full-size pistol compared to a sub-compact one aren’t significantly similar. Maybe a G17 size to a G19 size would qualify, but not a G26. 2) A shorter barrel doesn’t make it harder to qualify or put you at any disadvantage. That’s all in your head and is completely a software issue and not a hardware one. The G26 is the most mechanically accurate pistol in the Glock 9mm lineup. I have shot a qual course with a Ruger Gen1 LCP .380 and scored 100%, repeatedly. The fundamentals are the fundamentals. 3) Also, there is no rule that says you can’t CCW a G17 if that’s your choice based on what you shoot the best. “Listen to your friend @Mr.Stu. He’s a cool dude.” /Zoolander

Ok so I complete my Course at shooters. It cost $90. They were excellent there. My local PD also said they were a great place to take the qualification, so felt more comfortable with me using them. I dropped off my application, was fingerprinted and had my second reference documents all completed on 7/5. My references were all contacted as well by phone. On Monday 7/18, I received an email saying I was approved by the county and they have mailed it to the superior court of ocean county. They told me I was the first person in the county to complete everything and for me to keep them posted on next steps as they are also unsure. I have also called the superior court to try to find out what next steps are but no one there knows who the judge approving them is. Does anyone happen to know who the judge is at the superior court of ocean county that approves them? I keep reading the judge can sit on them indefinitely which is very disappointing. Thanks

A soldier ran up to a nun. A soldier ran up to a nun. Out of breath he asked, "Please, may I hide under your skirt. I'll explain later." The nun agreed... A moment later two Military Police ran up and asked, "Sister, have you seen a soldier?" The nun replied, "He went that way." After the MPs ran off, the soldier crawled out from under her skirt and said, "I can't thank you enough, sister. You see, I don't want to go to Syria." The nun said, "I understand completely." The soldier added, "I hope I'm not rude, but you have a great pair of legs!" The nun replied, "If you had looked a little higher, you would have seen a great pair of balls…. I don't want to go to Syria either."

I work at an engineering firm MEP & Technology..we design buildings, campuses and tenant fitouts across the country..BTW FL is exploding..........it hectic, fast moving, detail oriented and stressful. A young fella in our group, doesn't work for me, has been with us for 8 months, out of those 8mo, he has been out 'sick' for like 5 weeks.. The last round he was out, three weeks ago, jammed us up with deliverables...when he came back I saw him that morning. I said to him in front of everyone, its good to see him and happy he is back, and that his hangnail isn't bothering him and his monthly cycle is over, we have a lot of work to do this week. He welled up and walked away from his desk....snowflake. Yesterday, i decided to work remote, get an early jump to a long day... about 10am, i get a teams message from his to stop emailing and messaging the kid with things he has to get done, and whats the status of things to support my projects.... Seems he had a full on panic attack in the office and started crying that, "..there is so much work to do...." and he asked to go home and was allowed. This is a 25yr old.male electrical engineer.... I advocated that we can his sorry fragile ass and hire men and women with grit and drive....not emotional wrecks. I probably have an email from HR in my inbox this old morning...lol Some of these kids today are beyond weak emotionally....

Therefore, we should shut down the rail lines so people don't throw themselves in front of NJ Transit trains. We should also stop selling rope at hardware / home improvement stores so that people don't hang themselves. We should stop selling vehicles that spew CO2 into the air so that people don't run their car in their closed garage to end it all. Let's stop selling pills as well. It's not the instrument, it's the intent. Please go back into hiding and stay there. I'd use stronger language, but having already been scolded for mocking you cost me with the mods.

Greetings to all of the Debbie Downers & Doubting Thomas's here on the Board! And greetings to the Lurkers and everyone else that reads and doesn't post for fear of finger pointing by armchair experts & commandos living in their mom's basement. Did I piss-off EVERYBODY yet? No? Then please keep reading, lol! This Bill is designed to start a conversation among Legislators, NOT give us Constitutional Carry. For that reason, it might make it to the Law & Public Safety Committee of the Senate. While there it can be altered & amended as needed to conform to Bruen if we get a positive outcome at SCOTUS. The Bill is far from perfect in its current form. Your Second Amendment Advocates KNOW this! Our rights will be won back incrementally, just as they were taken away. I'm on the Senator's Advisory Panel with Anthony Colandro, Theresa Inacker, and Mark Cheeseman. What's missing from this thread is the "Call To Action" that's needed to get the Bill co-sponsored. So instead of doing the usual bitchin' about face-value imperfections and plain-text readings, how about calling or sending a letter to your district Legislators asking them to co-sign the Bill, eh? Or is it too hard to quit bitchin' and actually DO SOMETHING TO HELP? https://www.njleg.state.nj.us/districts Rosey
