  1. Do we know for sure it was not a shooter error? I.e. leaded up barrel? Squib?
  2. Btw, for the guys who got the binos and refunds and submitted your reviews... please send me a link to the review once posted. Thanks!
  3. South Florida has been Blue for many years... North and Central Florida is solidly Red, outside of Jax.... even that is mixed.
  4. This is why you need to opt in to receive emails from the forum. =P Yes Chris. Find it? Or send me a PM.
  5. better in terms of design and components? Surely... as good fit and finish? Doubtful... though I am hoping they prove wrong. And that price tag? Again though, I collect snake guns, I don't shoot them... easier to break and no one left at Colt who can comfortably fix them. =P
  6. congrats. Where in FL? We are now in PA, after really considering FL and even having an offer in on a place... but damn, still want a house on the Ditch. So may get a vacation place there in the future. We have some awesome members in Florida, they all seem to be enjoying it. Totally different life.
  7. Does not need to be overnight, just needs to be Air. Reach out to one of our vendors and I am sure they would help you out, especially those that know you.
  8. I am anxiously waiting for this one... It certainly will have a good amount of hype but I highly doubt it will compare to the original. The new Cobra and King Cobra are nowhere near the fit and finish and shooting experience of the originals. This new Python, while it may be a more solid and reliable gun, is not going to have that hand finished touch of the original Python, known for its amazing Single Action trigger. The DA is not great. I do not have an early release sample from Colt but will try to get one so we can do a new vs old. I am sure it will be a nice gun, just kind of irritated that they will money grab and call it a Python. But hey, who knows... maybe Third time is the charm. I seriously doubt the original pythons are going to drop in price much. No... highly doubt it. These will settle out around $1,100 to $1,200 once live. These are not the same as the original Pythons.
  9. yes! Sorry about that... there is the Calendar event which is updated and we started posting there... but Next Tuesday! Will try to make it. Tony is there on Tuesdays and they are aware of the NJGF meetups/discounts.
  10. Ruger just announced the brand new Ruger 57 pistol. There were a few rumors but it is here. Totally impressed that Ruger did this... totally did not expect it. I just got the gun a few weeks ago and enjoyed every moment! Looking forward to getting a few thousand rounds downrange. https://youtu.be/BlNlqkpsJt8 I also covered yesterday's announcement of the Ruger LCP II in 22 LR...
  11. Had a chance to live with it for about a month now. Pretty nice gun. Ideal concealed carry? No. But it is a GREAT training gun for CCW.
  12. You can build one in NJ... as long as it is a clean receiver. in CT you cannot build one however. in NJ you are good to go.
  13. Thanks... yeah, the issue is my boys at Hornady don't make it and I can't quite approach FN or Federal over this one.. And could order but need it for this weekend. Did find a local dealer that has it for around $25 a box and one of our vendors is likely going to hook me up with a case for a very good price.... Now... what do I need it for.? =P
  14. Ugh, don't remind me... I want one... will be stopping by the Beretta booth to say "Hello" in a few weeks. lol. Hoping my tax stamp clears by then. I want my dang suppressor.
  15. Some may not know, others do. @FreedomSportsLLC here can, but it is more paperwork that you need to bring. For many dealers it is a risk. I will let Todd answer this. For suppressors... less issues. =) It is up to the dealers to determine what level of risk they want to bring on themselves.
  16. So I filmed the range footage in my videos with these binos and the phone adapter. Just fine to see holes at 100. Even used them for 300 meters but a bit grainy.... If you have a good camera on your phone you can push it out more. For seeing hits on steel, this will be just fine out to 500 to 600 yards.
  17. Just got confirms that essentially everyone was sent a refund by now... only 4 outstanding that were not delivered or shipped yet.
  18. The refund would go through Paypal... but shoot me a pm and can discuss. Possibly can get you an Amazon GC. Btw, for those receiving the binos, wait a few days before leaving the review. =)
  19. Hey guys. About 25% of the folks got their refund already... those were the folks who ordered early and live in a 1 day (or same day) delivery range... Reason why I said 24 to 48 hours after they ship... your card generally does not get charged by Amazon until they start shipping it. It is only at that point that the seller actually gets paid and can see the total you paid with taxes and all. Until it ships, you can still have it cancelled. Christmas was a holiday. So everyone else should be getting a refund within 24 hours or so. (who has not yet.) I have a spreadsheet and keeping track. Keep in mind, company is in Asia so their hours are different from ours. But so far about 40 people have gotten these and have all gotten their refunds, so nothing to worry about, and you can always send me an email and will track for you.
  20. Anyone have 5.7x28 they have no need for or want to shoot up in a fun gun? Having issues locating 5.7x28 and need within the next few days to complete a video. Can either come shoot it here in America, or can trade for other ammo or can buy. Unfortunately the ammo companies I work with don't make 5.7x28. Send me a PM.
  21. There are about 10 others on the forum who already have them and can tell you it is legit. Essentially it comes down to where it is most effective to have them advertise and how. For Amazon sellers, having a good amount of reviews is essential to being shown at the top of the results for search terms, aka "Binoculars." Instead of paying thousands on banner ads and videos, it is more cost effective to get it from the ground up. Over the years I have had many such offers, some good products, a lot of "eh" and some crap. These are actually pretty good and I have them in my range bag, on par with $150 pairs from Nikon, Bushnell, Vortex.
  22. That email was from me. =) Not Phishing. (besides I already have your emails. )
  23. In our previous blog post we discussed the need to have a good flashlight. One example of it was the Fenix PD35 TAC. Another item that is staple in my shooting bag is a good pair of binoculars. While I am certainly not an optics snob who needs a $3,000 pair of binoculars with a built in range finder, I do need something good enough to use at the range to either locate targets, spot hits for other shooters or to record shooting footage for my YouTube videos. One pair I recently picked up was the Adasion 12x42 Binoculars on Amazon. What attracted me to the pair specifically was that they were fairly light weight at 1.25 lbs and used a BAK4 prism and came with a smart phone adapter. The BAK4 prism is a Chinese variety and slightly trails the German standard, it is far superior to the lower end BAK7 prisms, having a better refractive rate. The smart phone adapter was well worth the money as I could mount my phone and have it record the target cam footage. You can see it in use in my latest Ruger video on the 300 PRC. The Adasion 12x42 Binoculars are priced around $80 and is available in the United States from Amazon.com and I will have a detailed video on them in the near future.
