  1. Weekday plans are relatively new at public ranges... you are less likely to use it unless you are retired. =) But if you are close to PA... Easton Fish and Game, or any other PA range will be significantly cheaper. Only caveat is if you need to shoot indoors or not. @TacticalTrainingCenter is a great indoor range however with perhaps the best ventilation there is in NJ. I have no issues shooting there indoors.
  2. Well, It would also be the distributors who are willing to pass on the prices to PSA... PSA is big... but they are not huge by any means, they just know how to market well. Smith & Wesson does have the package deals but let's be honest... if they are willing to buy 1,000 or more guns... shouldn't they get a better price than a dealer who can barely buy one or two? Best thing for the brick and mortars are to concentrate on what PSA can't do... local transfers, unique offerings for their clients. Then they just need to wait until the gun fears spike up again.

    Score!

Beautiful Bob! Your collection sure is being upgraded!
  4. Smith and Wesson launched a $50 rebate.... Palmetto made it even cheaper. $199 for a regular Shield 9mm, and $249 for a Shield EZ 380... which I REALLY like and did a video on before. Link to Palmetto
  5. No direct experience but IIRC, there were some mag questions with that round...?
  6. Thanks for bringing it up. Yep, most definitely someone trying to scam. It is user @Tkay and he messaged 3 others who had WTB posts. Profile claims to be from Colorado, but accessed the site from Africa and France. Registered 2 hours ago. If it smells funny, bring it up. And also pay attention to someone's Feedback rating which is right there front and center to see if they had any other deals here. And if you are still unsure, feel free to ask me or any of the mods.

Interesting! What can is that? a 22 can?
  8. 100% spot on. Personally, I am 100% okay with loud, even obnoxious brakes if they are functional. Loud brakes save lives... er was that loud pipes? =P At a recent range event had a vendor come up with a bunch of their guns with various muzzle devices. One of the guns had their bigger, competition style muzzle brake which we were shooting at an IPSC sized target at about 85 yards away through a 3x Trijicon. The gun with that brake did not even get off target while shooting it standing. Was blown away by how effective it was. Shooting 223 off of the bench or prone? Yeah, okay, I get that 100%... but for run and gun, SHTF, or what LEO would deal with, absolutely.
  9. Bob. Can you get me a SKU? Can probably request a few boxes from Federal.
  10. I am actually a big fan of 45 GAP. Much a mix of 45 ACP and 40 s&w in shooting characteristics. Not as slow cycling as 45 ACP. Big fan of 230 grain in 45 GAP... Besides... it is GLOCK Auto Pistol... so that means its more gooder.
  11. Ntsb had their conference. Crashed on landing about 1k feet short of runway then tipped sideways.
  12. You know... Shocked no one here mentioned 45 GAP. Never a shortage of that. Make 45 GAP Great..... Not againt because it never was.
  13. From Airliners.net Also, apparently one of the Pax on the plane was doing a facebook stream as they were taxiing.
  14. Things worked as they were supposed to. =P There was no need for backups, etc.
  15. That means I will have to be up at 2am and am dealing with a cold and I may be passed out.
  16. Yup... must be those Russians keeping us Ukrainians down.
  17. Planning on doing a software update which includes a security fix released today. Should be down for 20 to 30 mins. Chat will remain working and will include a link.
  18. The grip safety? I actually like it quite a bit.
  19. Ok, so not going crazy... on 3 engines, way below max tow, fly straight, gain altitude, trouble shoot if you can, then head back... or heck, if there is another airport where you don't need to turn around and a runway along the way, go there... or start looking for corn fields or golf courses. (not familiar with Bradley area, never flew there).
