If I get approved Thursday but can’t pick up the pistol physically until Friday is that ok too?

Hi all, I have a pistol permit that expires on Thursday with no extensions left. I just purchased a pistol on Monday and based on how NICS is going it may not be approved until Thursday or Friday. Am I SOL if NICS doesn’t get done until Friday? FFL made it seem like a non issue.
