  1. Wow! that's fast! An update from Middlesex county! I called superior court today and they have no applications from my town, my PD hasn't approved or sent anyone's applications! It looks like getting a permit smoothly and expeditiously is entirely dependent on what county you live in. I am unlucky enough to live in one of the "rogue/obstructionist" counties.
  2. This ^^^^^^ I wanted to provide an update on Highland Park NJ. It seems guntuber guns & gadgets did an entire episode dedicated to thrashing Highland Park NJ. Trigger warning for those that want to watch it is going to upset you! Carry Ban Voted In - Even AFTER Supreme Court's Bruen Decision!?! - YouTube Like "Ficus" tomorrow will be three weeks from fingerprinting and 4 weeks from dropping off my packet. I did want to mention that my PD did cite "lack of guidance" when I dropped off my application but did reach out to my references. It seems that of all the people applying the most positive info we have here is a few got their permits in Passaic County and a small number of individuals got a court hearing at the end of this month in various counties. The point I am driving at is that many of us who live in "rogue" counties that are intentionally stonewalling may have to take legal action on an individual basis to finally obtain our carry permits.
  3. I'm not as optimistic, no one here appears to have received their permits and all the positive information posted here is "second hand". I'm in MIddlesex and the last of my references were contacted on the 28th, my PD has since "gone dark. A new disturbing ordinance banning the carry of all guns in all public buildings (a-la New York) was introduced in Highland Park and will pass the beginning of next month. The first town in NJ will copy New York and essentially ban legal conceal carry everywhere, a message left with ANJRPC has gone unanswered....it's clearly unconstitutional and defies the high court in every way.
  4. They are playing games with you intentionally! There is no reason they cannot provide an update on your application! There disgustingly rude! When you did you submit and when were you fingerprinted? fyi, I am in Middlesex and I called my PD late last week and left a polite message inquiring about my application. I left a message as no one picked up and I have not heard back. If I hear nothing back from my PD this week, I will likely try calling Superior Court to inquire if they have any information. I have set a time frame over the next few weeks to get some resolution. If I am unable to get something as simple as an update on my application, I will be looking at legal action! FYI, Middlesex is as bad as Bergen county!!
  5. This ^^^^^^^ The PD's simply cannot be allowed to sit on carry applications for months on end with no determination. The least they can do is keep the lines of communications open with applicants. I would really appreciate updates on my application, it would go along way with building a positive relationship between those that are legally armed and the local PD's. I'm glad yours is moving along to the court level and you're getting that mental health issue corrected. I dropped off my application on the 12th, fingerprinted on the 22nd, references all done by the 28th, and not a single word since....
  6. What? Really? it seems everyone is having different experiences here. 1. References not contacted but, application moved beyond PD to local court. 2. References called and were sent letters. 3. References called to confirm only. There is no logic or uniformity here, PD's are doing whatever floats their boat. I think calling and sending letters to references is idiotic!!! Do one, but don't do both!!
  7. An update from Middlesex County! My references were contacted this week for verification. My application appears to be progressing. As Jim said, we should be helping each other out with updates.
  8. Sir, I like your style! I went with the T-rex Arms Sidecar 2.0 with matching "discreet carry concept clips Mod 4". When I carried out of state i carried mostly in the appendix position (galloway precision do-it-all appendix holster), or in a pocket holster (pro-tech gripper), a few times i carried at the 3' clock position using a "yaqui" holster. From now on, it's the Sidecar 2.0 from T-rex Arms all the way! It's the honestly the best I have owned to date.
  9. Correct! This should not be taking months on end when the judges are supposed to be bound by the 60 day statute! They are using delaying tactics to bide time until the legislature/Murphy can find a way to turn off the spigot. I fear many of us including myself, will be forced to use the services of an attorney to see the process to its inevitable conclusion. What about Middlesex county? I'm in Middlesex County, I have no update yet and none of my references have been contacted. My prints were done on 7/22/22, so three working days so far. I was told by my PD that I would not have to appear in court (unless there is a denial) and that if the chief approves the PTC then the judge will likely approve as well.
  10. Application dropped off and paperwork accepted on 7/12/2022, fingerprinted on 7/22/22. Identogo took me a whole of 10 minutes with an appointment, damn shame it took so long to get an appointment. Now I'm in the trenches with the rest of you...
  11. My PD told me I do not have to appear in court unless there is a denial! I'm in Middlesex.
  12. There have been hundreds if not thousands of people that have already applied all across the state. I applied last week and my paperwork and qualification was legit, I'm not re-doing anything because of a grammatical technicality caused by the NJSP! As someone mentioned that box isn't touched by us applicants anyways! The NJSP will likely be updating the application many times over the next year along with integrating FARS at some point.
  13. I dropped off my application today, paperwork looked over and accepted. When my fingerprints come in next week, they will begin to process the application.... It's out of my hands at this point....
  14. I wanted to provide an update on my experience. I passed my qualification today (HQC2) from the holster and had my application notarized. The HQC2 was 50 rounds total from 1yrd to 25 yards, including one handed firing, tactical reloads, etc.. I will be dropping off my app on Wednesday....
  15. I thought the ANJRPC had lawsuits pre-filed? Which org will be filling the lawsuit first? I (we) all have to donate to stop NJ from subverting the will of the high court. BTW, my town announced they will pass an ordinance next month to label every location outside the home a "sensitive location". We have to get an injunction through in a goddam hurry!
  16. A believe this to be a fake! Someone is toying with us....If it was real it would come from the NJ AG office and would not include numerous grammar and sentence structure discrepancies. It's bullshit!
  17. I know jealousy is a sin! . That might be one of the best 1911 carry pieces on the market today.
  18. Yes, i meant to say the 5.11 leather belts. I have a few of the covert models for CCW, the leather belts are no joke.
  19. There are two statements that conflict with each other? [A firearms purchaser identification card issued prior to the effective date of P.L. , c. (pending before the Legislature as this 41 bill) shall expire during the fourth calendar year following the effective date of P.L. , c. (pending before the Legislature as this bill) and on the same calendar day as the person’s date of birth.] and then.. 7 [The] A firearms purchaser identification card issued prior to the effective date of P.L. , c. (pending before the Legislature as 9 this bill) shall not expire WTF!!!!
  20. I have been running 5.11 conceal carry belts for years. They are awesome and recommend them to everyone interested in CCW.
  21. It may be faster to order one from amazon, if you need it asap. 642 is fairly popular.
  22. I print my own passport photos from my printer using photo paper. It works just fine. The trick is getting it exactly 1.5 X 1.5 inch or slightly larger. There are many apps from PC to cell to help with making small photos. Fedex and UPS offer notary services.
