Side note: I wrote our nuptial agreement (You really do mean what you said, right?), and both our attorneys asked to keep copies and permission to use it as a template for other clients.

I've heard family court judges enjoy throwing out pre-nuptial agreements?

Said that his Wife of 20+ years had disappeared, along with all of the money in their joint accounts.

No way should men have joint bank accounts these days, way too risky. Doesn't matter how long you've been married.

Should be like the old days when the man owned everything, kept the wives on their best behavior.

Of course thats getting harder to do as more women are out earning their husbands now. I've got two neighbors that are stay at home dads living off their wives, but they'd still probably get boned in a divorce.

With a valid FID on your person, you can drive anywhere in NJ (not just to range/lgs/gunsmith) with a properly stowed unloaded long gun and ammo.  Handguns are still to and from exempted locations, unless you have a ptc.

Interesting, one can travel around the state with an unloaded AR which everyone knows is the most evil dangerous gun in the world but not a handgun.

Any educated guesses? I know rates won't drop back to 2 percent but will prices actually come down? I saw a 385k house today that is smaller than my 1 bedroom apartment. No idea what the right move Is..

At this point might as well just wait and see what happens.

The ultra low interest rate ship has sailed, prices are still at bubble valuations and inventory is low because people can't or won't sell and lose their 30 year 3% mortgages.

My wife an I bought our first tiny Cape Cod house in 1979 and had the pleasure of 9.5% interest rates. Four days after we closed on the mortgage Carter gave his 'oil is war' speech, and there was no mortgage money to be had anywhere. At any rate. We were glad we got in the door.

Just a cautionary tale for those of you who think you've seen the worst.

    You haven't.

No comparison between then and now.

Housing prices, property taxes are far more expensive today and If you couldn't afford to buy back then rents were reasonable.

Today residential real estate is a witches brew of high prices," high" interest rates, low inventory and massive legal/illegal immigration driving up demand for housing. Plus all the FED agencies distorting the market; HUD, Fannie/Freddie Mac, etc.

Thx for the reply I'm actually in the process of setting up an evaluation very soon with a place near me. It appears my insurance will cover all or most.

Okay but I'd still contact a firearms attorney before submitting the FID application, you don't want to get denied for some avoidable issue.

if there ever was anarchy,  I know my police would be there to help...

Unfortunately after the 2020 Covid tyranny and BLM riots I have serious doubts about that.

In my area the cops rarely even make traffic stops anymore. Many cars with all the windows blacked out, trucks with steam roller tires and loud exhaust tearing around, cops just smile and wave.

My rebuttal to New Jerseys argument is that the historical record clearly shows that concealed carry holders have never been a problem in the 47 states where it has been allowed.

The state knows full well their arguments are full of shit and aren't supported by facts.

Its the very idea of armed honest citizens that sticks in their craw..

Trying to figure out where you are going with this.

Are you planning on (A) not applying and not carrying, end of story,

or, (B) not applying but carrying illegally as an anarchist?

If your intention is the former, One has to wonder why you have spent so much time and energy discussing an issue that you have no skin in.  It seems a foolish waste of time, unless there is another motive.

LOL have you guys been drinking?

No, I don't plan to apply for CCW anytime soon because of the many bear traps N.J. is laying out for CCW holders nor would I carry illegally.

Just my personal choice as of now but I admire those willing to go through the process to get a CCW.

Anarcho-Tyranny is where laws are strictly applied to honest citizens (CCW holders) while dangerous criminals and mobs are allowed to run amok i.e. no cash bail laws, 2020 riots in democrat controlled states, Kyle Rittenhouse, just to name a few examples.

kinda feel like they'll quietly link our ccw info to our drivers license, and will already know we've got a ccw.......

Yeah, I could see that happening at some point.

"Duty to inform" or face a possible felony charge, thats one more reason I won't be applying for a CCW anytime soon.

In N.J. I figure my risks of somehow getting arrested while carrying or using a CCW in a defensive situation outweigh the benefits.

    Thats how Anarcho-Tyranny works.

If they trained half as hard and read more about how their gun statistics look when they are broken down into factual raw data, they would either be new allies, or bigger fools of illogical thinking.

Moms Demand Communism and other agitation group leaders are well aware of the facts.

Only the useful idiots actually believe their organizations are about stopping gun violence or saving the planet.

What is the point of this stuff (this and the abolish ATF proposal)?  They know (and we all know) it won't go anywhere.  Makes it hard to take them seriously for other things.

The point is to raise the issue.

The Left plays the long game using this tactic all the time, propose something outrageous they know doesn't a chance of getting passed into law, yet. But they'll keep at it years if necessary.

Republicans on the other hand have this all or nothing mentality.
