Working exactly as planned- The State passes gun control laws. When they inevitably fail to work as claimed Leftists propose another round of gun control laws, i.e. "we need to do more". Win, win for democrats since they never get held accountable for their failures.

NJ Handgun Carry Permit Application Experience

Might want to consult with a firearms attorney before going any further with your application, don't make any assumptions. -
NJ Handgun Carry Permit Application Experience
Bomber replied to CJack's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I have two friends that I've used for references on PP's in the past. They're not gun owners themselves but are fine with me using their names. I'm not sure who I'd use for a third reference and I would feel a little uncomfortable putting people on the spot asking them to sign off and attest to my application. -

This is one of the reasons I won't be applying anytime soon. Why does the PD have to call the references and ask them the same questions on the application they've already attested to in writing, signed and notarized? I guess the PD is hoping they will change their mind or say something that can be used to deny the application. -
NJ Handgun Carry Permit Application Experience

Thats interesting. So people who didn't bother getting their FID in the past because they couldn't conceal carry are applying for FID and CCW. Sounds like gun ownership will be going up in N.J. -
I was referring to open carry in public.
-
Open carry is a bad idea for a number of reasons even in states with very favorable gun laws.

16 minutes!? I can't stomach 16 seconds of his ugly mug. -
Impossible, there is no humility in Bucky only arrogance.. BTW Washington state (or was it Oregon) and Rhode Island just passed 10 round mag bans this year as well.

Awww . . . Nuts . . . FID/P2P Request Question
Bomber replied to EdF's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Holy shit, I'd be turning the town upside down if I lost my wallet and I never put my FID in there ever. My FID card stays locked up at home at all times unless absolutely needed. -
"Preventing gun violence" is the Big lie, the Kabuki theater of gun control is built upon. They know it, we know it and they know, we know, they know it, etc, etc..

Why didn't he sign his gun grabbing bills yesterday and really celebrate the 4th of July in style? -

Here is a good take on the situation from a thread on ar15.com about NY CCW restrictions but applies to N.J. as well: "What you are seeing is what has happened in every other state that has passed shall-issue concealed carry. Not to the extent NY is going but similar. The people inconvenienced will complain and changes will be made. Then lawsuits will happen and then more changes are made. Then as people adjust to the idea of "people walking around carrying hidden guns" more changes will occur. My state has had concealed carry for decades and we are still tweaking the law." "Back in 2000 when Michigan was trying to go from may-issue to shall-issue we had a state level pro-gun organization trying to kill the bill for the exact same reasons you mentioned. The people with connections had permits and very few restrictions. They threw a fit that going to shall-issue would result in a more involved process, a higher fee, and more restrictions on where they could carry. They had the "I got mine, fuck everyone else" attitude that you seem to have. Shall issue passed, barely. Counties like Wayne County, where Detroit is, dug their feet in and refused to issue any permits for almost a year. Multiple lawsuits had to be filed against them. The legislature has gone back many times to tweak the law, remove restrictions, and make other changes to improve things". "Baby steps, just like how the Dems take away our rights, is how you get the restrictions removed. The big hurdle is getting shall-issue allowed. That is still a huge win for NY. Then you go back and get the restrictions removed". . -
Or repealed with a new governor and assembly, but don't hold your breath.

See doctor and attorney first. Submit application that will be deny waste of time.

Supreme Court Takes First 2A Case in a Decade

I would really, really enjoy seeing the mag ban overturned, more so than the CCW ruling. That would be a kick right in Bucky's horse teeth. -

Isn't N.J. a "duty to retreat" state outside of your property or place of business? -

Are we sure we still want to conceal carry in N.J. ? The interpretation of the law may have changed but the same evil people are still running the state and court systems. -

Exactly. The 2nd amendment is not a second class right according to the Bruen decision. Does one need three references in triplicate, signed and notarized to vote? I don't want people to know I own and may want to carry a gun, let alone three people who will have to sign off on my application! What if I don't have three friends that I've know for a "minimum of three years" to endorse my application and never will? Why are my rights to self defense based on the approval of random people? This ruling drastically changes (or should change) how N.J. and other states with histories of trampling rights to personal self protection issue permits. -

As I recall there are only about a million N.J. FID holders, perhaps less. The 200,000 estimated CCW's by the state police seems more realistic. -

Historically gun control has been a losing issue for dems. They lost the House in 1994 after Clinton's AWB was passed. Florio got bounced out after one term for giving N.J. it's own AWB (and for other reasons) Murphy likely would've been one termer as well were it not for the democrats fraudulent use of ballot drop boxes. -

No CCW in Restaurants huh? Does A-Hole Murphy mean restaurants like the Luby's In Texas where a gunman killed 23 people in 1991 and the push for concealed carry got started after a woman left her gun in the car because she didn't want to risk losing her chiropractic license and her parents were both murdered?
