    Lever guns

I have a henry 22 which is a blast. Super smooth action and cheap to run. Haven't had a single issue with it. Eats every type of ammo. I also own a henry long ranger express in .223. Don't love the gun at all. I think it's a bit heavier than i want in a lever gun. I really bought it incase I move to some state with even worse gun laws. I'll probably stick to pistol calibers in the future though.
  2. I received an email for it. Let me know if the link below works. https://www.obsteelchallenge.com/nj-state-2024-squad-assignments
  3. Anyone signing up for the Nj state steel competition?
  4. I was in Brooklyn on a sales call. I initially thought we were under attack.
  5. Most competent gun smith's can removed a pin and weld job without damaging the barrel. Gun for hire does nice work. Monmouth arms also does really nice work.
  6. Respectfully that looks pretty rough. Where did you have that done? My last 2 weld jobs, I couldn't even find the spot without a flashlight.
  7. I seemed to have made a poor choice by putting my h2 on a 1.57 inch scalarworks optic riser as most magnifiers don't line up at that height. How big of an issue is it if they are not perfectly aligned? Will it be inaccurate or just great effect my eye box. I'm currently looking at the primary arms extended eye relief magnifier which sits at 1.64 inches. Does a 2mm difference in height effect anything drastically? Or am I doing my normal overthinking?
  8. Why? We can't even carry anywhere.
  9. That's a valid point. I'm really in the market for an interesting 5.56 rifle. The ability to change calibers was just a fun perk. The more I think about it, the more I'm looking at stuff without proprietary parts but still high end. My budget is in the 2k range or under and I currently have a daniel defense and wilson combat. I think I just want a new toy
  10. I'm all over the place. I think I want a new AR. Anyone have any experience with the lmt defender? I love the idea of being able to shoot multiple calibers with a quick barrel change. Any reason not to pull the trigger?
  11. Very cool to see this is good to go incase I go that route. Seems like alot of ffls carry it too. They referred to it as indents and not threads. This state is so mentally exhausting.
  12. Agh fair enough. Ill hold off and just get the socom one. The warden seems pretty awesome!
  13. Hm maybe I'll start with the muzzle brake and then just add the warden later. It is a cool set up. I didn't know it will fit on any surefire muzzle brake. Any benefit to the socom over the procomp? https://www.surefire.com/procomp/ I really wish nj didn't make everything so complicated.
  14. I'm going to have to hold off on this for a few months. The surefire and warden combo are pricey. Is the benefit worth it? I'll use my other ar while I save for this combo.
  15. I'm actually starting to take a few classes so going through all my gear to make sure I have no problems. Screenshotted the legality of aimsports a2 muzzle brake also for a different rifle. My buddies pin and weld job looks much cleaner than mine. I imagine most people don't give you sht for this unless you've already got yourself in trouble for something else.
  16. Is this legal? https://www.surefire.com/socom-muzzle-brake/ Doesn't reduce flash and doesn't have threads. I'm thinking it's good to go here.
  17. Unfornately having a permit to carry in this state is pretty useless in my opinion. Seems like everything is still a "sensitive location." Who can we donate to to make some changes? What group is best?
  18. How strict are they in terms of the gear you have? I'm reading some custom guns wouldn't qualify. I have a cz sp01 with cajun parts. Is that a problem? I may buy another vp9sk so I can just practice with my carry gun in the future.
  19. I plan on taking a class from him one day. He seems like a good trainer as well as a good dude. Lots of informational stuff on his YouTube. I also like his gun oil. Only thing holding me back at the moment is the price plus ammo. Hopefully next year I can swing it.
  20. It's open most weekdays if you don't work a day job. Honestly, even most open weekends end up being taken up now. I believe people were supposed to kind of regulate themselves in outdoor pits but people will stay there all day now and barely shoot.
  21. Old bridge rifle pistol club has a 50 and 100 yard range.
  22. I went to clean my bolt today and I can't remove what's on the picture towards the bottom. It almost looks like it melted? Only about 1000 rounds through the gun. Can I just switch the bolt without checking headspace? Its still relatively new. Its a daniel defense Rifle and it still shoots fine.
  23. When you are stopped on a traffic stop you are detained. To be detained, all you need is reasonable articuble suspicion. If it's a legal stop (the cop has reasonable suspicion of a crime) then you are indeed detained. If you asked an officer if you are detained with the flashing lights on behind you, he will 100 percent say yes.
  24. You don't have to answer alot of those questions. You can just hand them your paperwork. I'm not saying that won't bruise an ego though. It's unfortunate cops don't have to inform you on why you're pulled over either.
  25. Welcome! Lots if great members here willing to answer questions. If you dig hard enough you can find a recipe for Polynesian meatloaf!
