  1. Went to my local gun shop with a permit that expires in 5 days wanting to buy something. Asked him what he had available and he pointed me to 5 guns on a display, and told me that's all he had. I then asked if he could order something for me. He told me he can, but that currently they are not receiving any new inventory because of some state restrictions (?) so he wasn't sure when he would he could fulfill that order. I had not heard about this, and I asked him when he thinks it will get back to normal. He told me..."I'm not sure, maybe after the election, and also depending on who wins"... I left somewhat puzzled, as apparently maybe I missed something. Does anybody know of any current restriction on gun sales? Are all gun stores low on inventory?
  2. Gotcha, I had the wrong idea about application versus usage of permits each 30d. Ok I will will apply for a few permits then. I still think having to do the same process when you already have handguns seems silly.
  3. I have a FID card, and had a handgun permit that expired due to the COVID virus closings. So I went to complete the form to get a second handgun permit and it's asking me again for the same information including providing two references. Am i filling the right form? I'm aware you can get one permit per month, so if I wanted to get 12 permits per year, I have to bother my references 12 times in one year? That doesn't seem right. It only makes sense to do it initially. In other words, why would you ask for references on additional permits if it's assumed the applicant already has handgun?
