Definitely try out the Walther before buying, my wife fell in love with the M&P 380 EZ, she is very small with small hands, the M&P was much easier for her to manipulate. She also wanted a .22 once I told her how much the .380 ammo was and that once she went through tho 1k rounds I bought for her she was on her own. She tried the Walther .22 but ultimately felt the Ruger SR22 was a better fit for her, she loves that gun also. The Ruger 10/22 is an awesome rifle, everyone should own one, it’s a ton of fun to shoot and doesn’t break the bank to go through a couple hundred rounds.

What handgun are you looking at for your first purchase? You may want to raise the bar a bit and look at handguns in the $400-$800 range unless you’re looking for a small .22. Have you gone to a range to try out a few pistols? You can buy something online just to get it home and hate it. I would suggest the first purchase be from a local gun shop unless you have shot the pistol before you order it. Every hand guns feels different, I love the look of the CZ Rami but when I handled one in a store, the trigger was terrible, felt like it took 10 lbs of pressure to pull it. Wanted a Beretta Tomcat, looked for a small gun in a small caliber to keep around the house, handled one in the store and for the life of me I couldn’t see the sights. Don’t just buy a handgun blind, you may not like it one bit.

With 500 rounds through this little pistol, it is really growing on me. The trigger is very nice, crisp and smooth, the grip even with my larger hands feels snug and comfortable. Really enjoying this purchase.

Plenty for the regular shield but nothing for the micro shield. Google isn’t being kind with this search. find plenty for the shield compact, you would think they would fit, but don’t. The gun is a very nice shooter, even with the flush mount butt plate, the extended just feels a wee bit better though.

The pistol comes with two magazines, one flush fit 10 rounder and one 13 rounder extended magazine that is pinned to 10 rounds. Has anyone found pinkie extensions butt plates without having to pin a 13 rounder. The compact shield butt plates will not fit.

Sad, but true. Stopping at The in-laws on the way to the range leaves the above interpretation up to the LEO, why take that chance.

To print out your P2P you go to the fars web site input your last name and and date of birth, maybe the FID works similar?

Good question, glad I will not have to find out. Another question would be. if you were issued a physical card and have pictures of it and loose it, can the picture be used.

Great info above, Amazon carries everything you will need, YouTube is also a great place to watch videos on anything firearm related, helped me greatly. You may find that cleaning your handgun is also very enjoyable. Great feeling when you turn a fouled firearm back to nice and shiny.

Once a P2P has been used, you get an email to print out the paperwork which is only good for 90 days to print. Would imagine an EFID card has a similar 90 day time frame.

Submitted a NICS check Tuesday night at 6pm, approved by 9am Wednesday morning.

Applied January 5th for 3 p2p permits in brick township, got the call to pay my $6, paid Monday at noon, permits were ready this morning.

Heritage guild in Rahway gets their ammo delivery on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4pm. that’s a lot of driving, shooters has all the 9mm you can Carry for $36 a box. Got lucky, Tuesday they had 20g target loads, picked up a few cases.

Shooters in south Jersey had some Tuesday night, $44 a box one box limit. I want to pick up a Henry 38s/357 with a side gate but with the way ammo is available I have held off.

Does Natchez require a copy of your FID to ship handgun ammo to NJ? I didn’t see mention that they do, only IL.
